I’ve been working here and there on the supplies for the Texaco Station.
I’ve gotten the two-post lift built, painted, and weathered. It is going to be a fun addition to the station.
The rollaways are now finished. I even have a few sets of jackstands. Lastly I got the engine test bed wired and weathered. Now I feel like I have enough to make the Texaco station ready for action.

Those garage tools kits are so much fun to paint and weather, nice detail work on yours.
Your station crew is getting pretty big. Some really cool tools and equipment for the station as well.

Nice stuff coming along! I bought a Fujimi garage kit too, as well as some figures, mechanics and others. Also the Tamiya race team kit. I notice though both Tamiya and Fujimi list as 1/24 scale, their figures aren't the same. The Fujimi figures look a bit larger.

Maybe you might team up with “KBCC Garage” and his creepy but so cool talking model figures? By the way I know you kind of play with your models when nobody looking. Lol. (Yeah, it might be a little nerdy or “geeky”) But not everybody gets it…why we build models. (I’m not even sure my self)

I love the long comments. I want to take it outside when I'm done and take it down town and do some of those forced Focus pictures with it both in the day and at night. I think that would be very fun.
I do play with them all the time. I'll set them up and take a bunch of pictures. It's a blast.

Keep in mind the Fujimi stuff is 1/24th. AMT has a lift in their Get On Up kit thats 1/25th. Might be better for the roadsters.
Thank you. I was wondering that too. I still have that Center Post lift that I will just swap in and out depending on what kit I'm using. I have to watch, I'm going to run out of storage for all the different tools that the station will have. LOL
I've never seen accessories like this... Thanks SO much for sharing! Hey, if you need to hold something in place (Like the jack on the Mustang, you can use Museum Wax. It also works well when you put it on a stick or Q-Tip so you can hold parts for airbrushing or spray painting. BTW- Is there any noticeable difference using the 1/24 tools with 1/25 models?

That Texaco pump looks like it could be 1/8th scale.... I could be wrong....😖
I'm not sure. It sure is big compared to the 1/25th. It'll be fun to add to the diorama when I finally get a good base made.
Awesome work as always. It would be kind of cool if you could set up different sets of props and set dressing that you could swap out to represent different eras. You could set that test stand up with a couple of mechanic figures and a tool box and enter it into the vignette category at an IPMS show. With the quality of your work, and the subject being somewhat different than the usual fare, I think it would do well.
Thank you. I am planning on doing just that. Older cars will get the older style tools, where newer cars will get the newer tools. It will keep the updates and pictures fresh.

Thank you. I think after the Firebird I will be finishing the station, until I add a second bay of course. LOL Yes, I was thinking of doing a live 1 hour broadcast on Fridays after the New Years. A kind of questions and answers type thing.
I like the Texaco updates. I think that is going to be a great center piece for displays. I would like to do a sales lot for used cars from the 50’s.

When I was a teenager I worked at an apco station. Had a lift inside and outside next to building
I think this two poster will end up outside. We had three of them outside at the Hobby Shop when I was in the service.
