This was probably Taylor´s best fashion year i must say. So many slays and not much flops. I really like how her style evolved this year. The only thing i didn´t like were the shoes for most of the year. The thing with her shoes is that it´s either a intergalactic slay or absolute kill me flop. I´m very interested what 2024 will bring us, hopefully more slays and less and less flops coming our way. Maybe her time in Europe will give her some cool ideas.

@@Sacto1654 Physio here - very low correlation for heels alone to be a causal factor for back issues! She is incredibly fit and does a mix of cardio and strength exercises which is more than enough prevention for back issues! She can keep wearing those heels no problemo, they slay!
Braids- for long haired girls in hot & humid weather they are easy to do in getting your hair off your neck. Also, the look once you take them out is nice. When you have hair that kind of explodes in humidity it is a way to keep your hair neat and off your skin. Putting your hair up 100% when you hair is long can take more time & easily give you headaches (bobby pins to hold in all the hair in hot humid weather. Braids are very convenient for every day in summer.
LOVE the side bang she has. It gives Princess Aurora and that's what we NEED. Also, I've noticed some of her style gives dark academia and I am really loving her style way more than ever this year.

Oh man, her Fearless - Speak Now style was just everything! Now, I am biased because I love that recession era anyways, in art, fashion, music, TV, you name it. I think Taylor has always chased the Zeitgeist but never 100% had her finger on the puls of what is really cool. It gives her an endearingly relateable charm. So when the world moved on in terms of fashion, she sort of stumbled along with it. We're still half a decade shy of that fashion era being hit by the 20 year nostalgia pendulum and making a full comeback, although we have seen glimpses of it with the return of Twilight-core.
II met a french lady once and I asked her how do French women do it. They always nail it no matter what they are wearing. She taught me the rule of three. The first 2 elements are the top and the bottom or dress and tights or whatever. They should be cousins not sisters. The link between the two can be color, texture, or movement. When you commit to top and bottom then resist the temptation of being overly creative. The third element is the difference between being dressed and wearing what is truly becoming to you. If I were dressing Taylor I would look at what we have here. Legs a mile long, a small waist, a beautiful clavicle, and profile. Ck, now choose one of them to emphasize. If it is her legs, the third element is the boots or flats with a gold anklet . If it is the clavicle then a statement pendent or choker or a heaver gold chain that lays on those bones to great effect. If you want to emphasize all of them that is where you step off the cliff. It happens way too often especially in America. I love the photos from January 15th she was killing it. Less is more. Purses that look dangly should be avoided by tall women, they make them look awkward, better choice, a clutch or shoulder bag. The shoes are a problem and here is the reason: She is a dancer. Her ankles and her arches must be warm and protected. Yes, I love the stilettos but they are dangerous. With boots your ankle is stabilized. With loafers and short tied boots she is protecting both arch and ankles. Flats are a go to for dancers, you have to keep that Achilles tendon flexible and strong. So shoes may be not what she prefers but the lesser of evils depending how her feet feel that day. I love your channel, you always have great content.

Very true! I do think in that particular outfit, Zach meant that her air-dried and unstyled hair clashed with the high polish of the outfit and makeup, it would have looked better if she had gone with a bit of polished "done" kind of curl, but in general as a (not POC) girl with fine, textured hair a lot like Taylor's it makes me very happy to see her embracing the fluff and looking gorgeous.
imo it was obvious he meant that it was generally disheveled- which like, anyone who has curly hair could identify it as being a wonky air dry moment vs any intentional styling. He wasn’t shitting on her curls, but the lack of attention to caring for/styling them. Like either blow out the whole thing if you’re gonna straighten your bangs or diffuse it and make it intentional and part of the look vs an afterthought. Have you noticed that most of Taylor's fashion this year is black + autumnal colors? Idk if you're into seasonal color analysis (I myself am but I don't treat it as end all be all), but Taylor's palette is looking a bit heavy on her and overwhelming at times. The rusty orange dress (or skirt plus top) is just so jarring on her... I'm not one to say you should stick to your palette and never any other color, but I think she could use some lighter colors

There were lots of slays this year, some flops, but great improvement from previously. i think Taylor has always had a very strong visual brand, actually. mainly around the idea of being a girl with an uncomplicated, casual, easy-to-identify style, almost an anti-style brand lol this year she killed it though.
I've really enjoyed her street style this year! the shoes aren't always my favorite, but I'm not a big fan of the chunky shoe trend. I'm really liking the classy but still sexy looks, and surprisingly I'm loving the WAG looks at the Chief's games.
I think shes always going to be wearing straight-to-consumer outfits rather than high-fashion pieces because her image is so involved in being relatable. I think this is also a reason as to why i think she dresses so young, as you were saying "college campus." All of these outfits could be worn by high schoolers and college students (except for the jackets, which is the only piece she seems to experiment with). The boots, loafers, baggy shirt with the mini-skirts, etc., are all super trendy right now.
How long will I continue to be upset that the New Romantics and You're on Your Own, Kid are not included in the main setlist of the Eras Tour… Both of these songs are perfect for the stadium and this tour😢 And they reflect Taylor's songwriting talent very well. I do think in that particular outfit, Zach meant that her air-dried and unstyled hair clashed with the high polish of the outfit and makeup, it would have looked better if she had gone with a bit of polished "done" kind of curl, but in general as a (not POC) girl with fine, textured hair a lot like Taylor's it makes me very happy to see her embracing the fluff and looking gorgeous.
Curly hair looks the best for her. The best. I LOVE how she styled it the Folklore images.

imo it was obvious he meant that it was generally disheveled- which like, anyone who has curly hair could identify it as being a wonky air dry moment vs any intentional styling. He wasn’t shitting on her curls, but the lack of attention to caring for/styling them. Like either blow out the whole thing if you’re gonna straighten your bangs or diffuse it and make it intentional and part of the look vs an afterthought.

As beautiful and talented as she is, I never understood her choices of style tbh when the world is literally her oyster 🤨. I did however love the visuals for her Midnights campaign: mod-glam, that’s sultry and sexy while still remaining classy 🙌🏻, wish she could translate that vibe to streetwear.
I agree that Taylor has a timeless beauty! I think experimenting with softer colors (vs black) would be a nice change. Sometimes black feels harsh and distracts from her face. Have you noticed that most of Taylor's fashion this year is black + autumnal colors? Idk if you're into seasonal color analysis (I myself am but I don't treat it as end all be all), but Taylor's palette is looking a bit heavy on her and overwhelming at times. The rusty orange dress (or skirt plus top) is just so jarring on her... I'm not one to say you should stick to your palette and never any other color, but I think she could use some lighter colors

i think Taylor has always had a very strong visual brand, actually. mainly around the idea of being a girl with an uncomplicated, casual, easy-to-identify style, almost an anti-style brand lol this year she killed it though.

I think shes always going to be wearing straight-to-consumer outfits rather than high-fashion pieces because her image is so involved in being relatable. I think this is also a reason as to why i think she dresses so young, as you were saying "college campus." All of these outfits could be worn by high schoolers and college students (except for the jackets, which is the only piece she seems to experiment with). The boots, loafers, baggy shirt with the mini-skirts, etc., are all super trendy right now.
