No. He has no special abilities of which Albedo has asked him about. Albedo then ponders the though of if we have powers which are independent from Teyvat (i.e. powers which closely align with Teyvat) or is moulded by Teyvat (i.e. we can't fly like how we did in the intro because Teyvat prevents us from using this ability). Using elements without a vision is possible, as elemental beings can use them (ex-archons, slimes, crystal flies, whopperflowers, earth dragons, etc). So everything we have done so far is not otherworldly, just slightly unusual.
'When all is said and done, when he does finish his journey, will he still have any love left in him?' THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I'M WORRIED ABOUT. Granted there's no telling what's gonna happen in the nations moving forward, but if the Abyss Twin looks so cold, broken and even defeated, I really worry for what's gonna happen to Aether as he goes along. I also can't shake the feeling that once the twins reunite for real, it's not going to be a happy ending. Whether Aether raises his sword against his sister, or Lumine is too far gone to be saved. Granted this is all years from now, but I can't stop thinking and speculating regardless.
Well, the sibling went on their journey during a time of war and destruction while the traveller is on their journey in a world of relative peace. So hopefully the peaceful nature of modern Teyvat will keep the traveller sain. However, we must remember whatever journey the sibling took was so bad it makes both siblings possibly corrupt.
Aether is sassy sunshine son and he deserves the spotlight. The last part caught my attention about Love and Cryo. Through our journey, we see different type of family dynamics: Healthy (Jean & Barbara), Broken (Diluc & Keaya), Not-related-by-blood (Albedo & Klee) Royalty (Ayaka & Ayato), Protective (Teucer & Ajax) Regardless, of Lumine or Aether, their sibling is the main reason why they became an Traveller. Despite all his powers and skills, Aether is not a hero, not some angel from the sky. As showed by his dialogue about the Vision Hunt Decree. He is just a boy on a mission, and something tells me that when he reachs the end of his journey and reunited with his sister. Will he stay on Tevyat or leave? Will he become more jaded and cynical through each Archon, quest or trial presented? Will still look at his friend with care or the former archons with disdain?
The way ayaka coerced us into helping the resistance traveller seems like they might stay in teyvat. Though you can see the abyss sibling doesn’t dislike or hate the other because they’re on the wrong side, as they want you to see why this world is bad and leave together. It would be super weird if mihoyo makes us fight our sibling when there’s no reason to.
I am sure i’m not the only one who’s feeling more compelled to play MC thanks to your videos. The silent protagonist is something i’m not very fond off… but you give him the voice he lacks. Thx so much for that. I feel much more connected to Aether like never before. Looking forward for morr

I'll never understand why they decided to omit the voice acting during his dialogues. Maybe it is to portray the traveler as the player themselves and not as some different characters, in this case not as Aether or Lumine. What's ironic is that the voice acting of Traveler is actually really good. I listened to Aether specifically and found his voice well-fitting and convincing. It also seems to put the narrative in a more compelling way.
Regardless one thing that I have noticed I spend a lot of time doing is going though some dialogue options in his character. Just like with all the other playable character in genshin, listening to hiw he interacts with both the world and paimon gives him a deeper sence of character.
I think the traveler brothers are a pretty good representation of us. -They travel contless worlds (Play lots of games) -Live for an eternity (time to complete all those games) -Lie about their real name inspite of having canonic ones (player nickname) -And maybe they know how to behave because they have seen a lot of character and story tropes
Aether (or Lumine, which ever twin you chose) will and have been in these situations where he has to go to war for Inazuma and the resistance. Where contracts have chained him to a certain path. My understanding of this is when Aether goes to a certain region in Teyvat, he doesn’t keep most of their ideals. He continues on his search for the love of his sister, he has been in many situations where he has to prove his innocence, from stealing the holy lyre to being suspected of assassinating a God to being a fugitive because of him being “the enemy to eternity”. His wisdom is not only on his knowledge but also extends beyond, he may be knowledgeable in most situations but his willingness to inquire and gather new knowledge from his surroundings. Also out of topic, but the big statues we see from the archons so far have two wings, technically making them angels who handle affairs between mortal and divine works, which is their role as an archon- to supervise the people under their rein, especially the vision wielders, now Aether and Lumine had 6 wings, even though they seemed artificial, we can see that the wings were made of light, coincidentally their names mean “light” in one way or the other, my point is: the Traveler could possibly be a seraph, they are higher in rank and power compared to angels and they are the ones who, according to some religious texts, guard the throne of God, which could be Celestia. But these are all my speculations.

While this is Definitely just a thought experiment, it is interesting to see just how ignorant these godly ideals can definitely be. For me, I've never treated the traveler as those blank slated mc's you use to progress a story. It's always been apparent to me that he is his own person with his own goals, personality and thoughts. For his adventure though, we can clearly see what kind of progression he'll have, especially in Inazuma. He's slowly getting worn down as he adventures, seeing the darker sides of Teyvat, and also now burdened with this knowledge of how far his sister has fallen. I have no doubt in my mind that if he, at any point, encountered the God that trapped them in Teyvat, he would murk her on fucking sight, and I wouldn't blame him. But another thing I, and a lot of other people are starting to realize, is that the journey would probably end with a decision the traveler will have to make. We understand that, whatever our sister went through 500 years ago, has changed her so irrevocably that she's willing to throw countries into danger for her goals, abandon her own sibling, had barely any reaction to seeing him in the first place after so long despite KNOWING how desperately we were looking for her, and now she basically wants to kill Celestia. This journey isn't just for Aether to understand what happened. It's also him understanding the very core of every part of Teyvat, 500 years past his sibling. He learns the good and bad sides of it. This is why Paimon is so important. She's his guide, and is the one constant in his adventure, and has seen everything he has seen. I bank all my money that she is going to play a massive role in the final decision we make. Regardless of whether or not our sibling will change her mind and we can get that happy ending, I know for a FACT that it will be either helping her destroy Teyvat, or protecting Teyvat, a land we've seen and known, and now love enough to go against our sibling. It's not out of character, it's just love. The entire point of the journey. It's which love Aether decides to choose.
Aether and Lumine are absolutely precious. If anything happens to any of them we will have issues MHY. On another note I really enjoyed this traveler video and I hope we get to discuss more about them after Inazuma ends.
Considering that Genshin and Honkai's universes are both connected to the imaginary tree, I wonder if Aether and Lumine are aware about the honkai, or what causes it. Considering how Celestia is against the advancement of technology (which is what attracts honkai in the first place) I wonder how closely connected the characters and lore are.
And with the advancements, comes the arrogation against celestia, and the world and hopefully reaching the truth or sumn, they always keep shit in line, and the cycle starts
Your video is on point. It actually ties back the Cryo Archon We have an idea that the Fatui and the Cryo archon's from grace happened after the fall of Kharienneh. She knows the faith of her people, and for the love of her people, she closed her heart and put it up a front against Celestia and the heavens to protect the ones she cares, even if it comes at the cost of her being hated Tho this is a theory from my side
This is a valid theory that I’m willing to bet could have some weight to it moving forward. Making the Cryo Archon be the last one the Traveler gets could also mean that they’ll finally get why the Abyss Twin did what they did. They did the same thing the Cryo Archon did, shutting themselves out in fear of hurting those they love.

I feel that in their search for us, they realize time is what separates them and seeks the power to traverse time. But in order to do so, they had to endure a bunch of stuff that led to their current disposition.

Maybe experiencing the 500 years strengthened the Abyss twin’s decision, thinking that it was for the best that we didn’t get to see the horrors they did. To keep that sassy, optimistic, and noble personality. They couldn’t bear to see us broken down by what could have happened to Teyvat.
You can also see it from Aether and Lumine's talent level-up material, unlike other characters they use different types of talent books. That is unique to each region they visit signifying that they can obtain all of those and as the story progress they can gain more, maybe it is one of the reasons why we don't keep the levels on the talent when we change elements.
At the end of his journey, his hardest and toughest decision will be upon him and after that one more door is left to pass through and then the threads of all fate will be in his hands for him to reweave. Will Aether let millions of lives some of which look up to him or hold him dear to their hearts, burn for him to be with his only kin or will he end his only kin once and for all to save the millions lives, no one deserves to be in this situation, however this decision must made whether it is to be liked or not.
The way you articulate your thoughts and put them into words is impressive. I really like the idea of traveler embodying the archon’s ideals and we still have 4.5 more regions to see how traveler applies to these ideals and how they’ll change with each archon quest. You have a good voice and way with words that makes you easy to listen and you clearly appreciate the intricate details for the characters of this game. This game is beautiful and these videos remind me how beautiful it is. I cried twice from this video when I was reminded of zhongli claiming to pass down teyvat’s history down to traveler and realizing that in the last region full of ice and of a god who’s closed her heart, there will be love
I think another example for MC embodying Wisdom is how he is making choices in the story. Wisdom comes with age, wisdom comes with experience, no matter how great or insignificant it may be, wisdom is still wisdom. With this wisdom that you have gained, use it to guide yourself in the future, for wisdom is one of the many things that prevents one from repeating the same mistakes. Currently, Aether has learned a lot during his travels and because of this, it affects his future decisions, the aether we know now wont be the same aether by the end of the story, similar to how the Lumine Aether once knew, won't be the same Lumine he knew back then. The travellers they once were, the decisions they once made, the people they once trusted, all of it won't stay the same
I don't play as Aether but as a Lumine, I love them both very much especially my cutest Lumine, and I'm a MC main. Glad to see we get to know more about the Siblings.
I’m absolutely loving all this Aether content lol. It’s good to see best boy getting some more love. Also, congrats on 2K 🥳🥳🥳 it’s well earned!! !!Spoilers below (just in case) plus it’s long lol!! The Inazuman archon quests really sort of hit me in regard to the traveler’s character. Mihoyo really stepped it up in 2.0. Before, Aether was more of a reluctant passenger almost (imo). With Stormterror, he literally got whisked up in a tornado and Venti just dumped a wind gun on him and Aether was kinda like “oh ok”. With Osial, Childe basically pulled a fast one on him and Aether pretty much had to help or they’d all be screwed. But this time, he had a choice. It was really unexpected for me to just see him basically go “no❤️“ to Thoma’s (idk spelling rip) offer to join the resistance. I thought he’d join immediately because it’s sort of like how most people in Teyvat see him as this great hero; it just made sense. I thought it was really cool to actually see how the decree was affecting people, and learn more about visions along the way. I feel like what makes Inazuma so much more different from Mondstadt and Liyue is that Aether is actually making most of the major choices, he’s directing the story this time. Instead of just all this crazy shit happening around him and him reacting, we get a more candid look into his thoughts and feelings. It’s a great reflection not just of the overall story, but of his character development. When before in the first 2 regions, we sort of get strung along and pulled into all sorts of wacky highjinks, with little to no direction or clear objectives, now we’re taking control, considering the consequences, gaining more sense of the world and how it works. I don’t wanna say jaded, but more so logical. It feels like we’re out of the play pen and running through the halls (lol idk wot that means but ok). I can’t wait to see what the next region holds in store ( I think it’s Sumeru? Don’t quote me), because each region of Teyvat seems to be like a sort of test for Aether. Different attributes of his character and different morals and world views are put on trial with each experience Aether has, as seen in some of the voice lines. I think that his main takeaways from these experiences and his main objective will one day clash, and that will be the choice he has to make. One of the best things about Lumine and Aether’s dynamic to me is their feelings. Which I’m glad you touched on at the end. Lumine’s feelings of anger and war are the exact opposite of what her name suggests; dark and cold. I feel the same will be said of Aether soon, as you said, Aether is basically eternal. But one of his main traits is his empathy. An empathy for things and people that to him are probably fleeting. I feel there will most definitely be a clash between the two over this at some point. One thing I disagree with us aether being in control for this arc. I'm the beginning yes he was but after the fight with the shogun he was once more the errand boy. Not to mention the players, I for one wanted to say no the second time to joining the resistance but the game forced me, I would've preferred if there was a small difference telltale style where your choices don't matter but the road to get to the end does change.
Thats why i want genshin impact so bad get animated,his lore,the characters building,lessons from reality,and even mc feel he build himself during the journey and good fights scenes i rly want to watch it before i die!
Actually it makes sense and there is a theory that once they get all the elements and their OG power they will become gods There is evidence as they are the only ones besides the archon that have portraits of themselves as their constellations. They seem to also be immortal and even zhongli is his story quest seems to catch on to this. And from what we can guess once they got most if not all the elements and their original power they would be stronger than the archons seeing how with just 2 elements the traveler can beat one of the strongest fatui with a delusion
The final stretch of MC's journey is to reconcile the unreconcilable - the journey of all Cryo Vision holders. The fact that Pyro is before Cryo - Natlan before Snezhnaya - and just knowing simple storytelling dynamics; the second highest point of Genshin Impact will be in Natlan, and the lowest will be in Snezhnaya. "The rules of war are woven in the womb..." They're twins, they would've shared a womb, meaning the rules that govern their respective wars are exactly the same; the sense of justice you see in Aether is the same that Lumine operates on. "The victors burn bright, while the losers must turn to ash;" this is the dichotomy that MC will attempt to reconcile because they'll find themself on the opposite side of their sibling on the battlefield, protecting Teyvat from Khaenri'ah's vengeance. This is where the game changes, however; MC, unlike the Cryo Vision holders, is free from the principles of Teyvat - it is why Venti and Zhongli lean on them so much. They have the freedom to reach the impossible reconciliation, and a grand rebellion with which to shatter the false sky above. The forceful ascension into Celestia will be the climax of Genshin Impact, both literally and literarily. There's a special relationship between Cryo and Anemo and I think the best way to explain it is through Kazuha. If he were to gain a Vision while his family still had its fortune, I believe he would have been Cryo - much like Ayaka is now - always trying to find a way to both be a free spirit while also maintaining his duty to his clan. Eula and Jean are interchangeable in that both have an extreme sense of responsibility towards their respective families and traditions. Andrius manifests both Cryo and Anemo because he somehow manages to watch over Mondstadt despite despising humans as a whole - in a way being able to reconcile two opposed aspects of himself, though at the cost of his life no less. MC even helps Venti truly enact freedom by helping him realise that a mandated freedom is no freedom at all - his rule as Archon and his core value are diametrically opposed concepts and should not be able to coexist by all accounts. In the resolution of such an unreconcilable internal conflict, Venti is able to realign himself with his core value, that is the main connection between Cryo and Anemo. Anemo Vision holders seem to receive their Visions at that very moment of peace, often alongside the reinstatement of a certain value within the Vision holder - for Jean, it's her duty to Mondstadt, "For Mondstadt, as always."; for Sucrose, it's her boundless curiosity; for Kazuha, it's his freedom loving spirit, unbound by the expectations of 'Kaedehara'. MC does have one such value, shared with their twin - "Home is wherever we are together." At the end of this journey, the twins will return home, I believe that without a shade of a doubt - I also think that they will stay in Teyvat and their connection to the stars will be lost. The last we see of them would be the moment they are blessed with an Anemo Vision, bound to the principles of Teyvat but free to make their home wherever they please.

I know this is kind of irrelevant to the video, but I have a theory about paimon. (As you know, genshin impact took inspiration from gnosticism, and I think that the god of teyvat is just one of the creations of the real god). Lumine and aether were angles sent by the real god, but they were erased of their memories. After lumine raised the abyss order to power, the god of teyvat realized that he/she/they cannot kill the twins, so the god sent Paimon to change aether's opinions about teyvat and stop him from realizing the truth. The reason why i don't think paimon is a suriving god from the archon war or a god who rebelled against celestia is because venti, zhongli and baal gave no reaction to her. I think the archons knew about paimon and her plans before aether woke up, so that would only make paimon one of the god's direct servants.(Paimon was the name of one of the kings of hell(similar to barbatos, morax and baal), Paimon can unravel the mysteries of the earth(elements), was loyal to lucifer, had an unmanly face and wears a crown.)

One noticeable change in Aether is that as unwavering as his love for his sister is, by the time of Inazuma he seems to be caring about going out of his way to make significant changes in the world out of his love for Teyvat less and less, to the point where he actually outright refuses to help the Inazuman vision-bearers at one point despite previously taking an immediate liking to Mondstadt and Liyue
Swapping the ideals for the elements of love and war would make more sense in my world: love is like a burning flame, but it grows cold during times of war

"the only thing eternal is change" this sentence gives me goosebumps for some reason, because change is inevtiable and so is tragedy. but what kind of tragedy will happen? what if aether/lumine did change after knowing the truth? who will we side on? will we go against our sibling, who is the only reason why we travelled so far, in the end? or we will be corrupted?

The part where u mentioned 'love' in aether almost made me cry. It's FOUR MY GOODNESS- But other than that, you have a point. No matter who his sister despises, he still has space for her and his friends of what his sister hate. He has separate love for both his friends and family, I love that and it's what I noticed most of the times during playing genshin. That's why I'm mostly scared if he's willing to choose tevyat or his sister, because in this case, aether loves both equally, and nothing will change his love for both. He loves the ppl around tevyat who he considered as friends, he loves his sister who he has travel with from world to world, yet who knows, if near the future, would he even chose between two? Or maybe a different path from where he will choose. Like how most ppl describe the traveler, not much is known about him, other than the fact that he's a trust worthy, helpful and loving person and a hero who raises his blade for nations to nations. But what will they do, if one were to raise a blade at them instead?
Based on the ending of this, I would find it intriguing if Aether or Lumine whichever you choose to play as becomes the final boss and the people they bonded with throughout the story have to fight them to save them. It would be a concise end twist if the love is lost
Don't worry, someday, the mc Aether may acquire stronger skill set as the story progress as Aether had the choice to answer "gradually restoring my former power" and "collecting the powers of the seven elements" when Childe questioned Aether as Aether defeated the Harbinger.
I was thinking of the seven ideals and how they connect to the Knossos that each archon has as each piece is a chess piece for example Barbotos’ Knossos was a queen the piece with the most freedom on the board. I think Morox’s Knossos is a rook because contracts give freedom in movement as well as what color space your on but still contained with in restraints. I think Baal’s Knossos will be a bishop because a bishop is contained on spots of the same color you could say they’re eternally bound to only those spots. I think the hydro archon’# Justice will also be represented as a bishop because one who greatly values justice with stick with there justice not breaking a bending it. I Think that although the cryo archon’s ideal has changed going of their previous ideal of love I think they’re Knossos will be a knight because the knight is kinda of an oddball piece with very specific constraints but it’s king similar to love as it can jump over other pieces avoid conflict and continue past others to follow or reach that which they love and that love they follow can also restrict them from doing certain things just as the knight has very specific movement restrictions. Those are all I have so if anyone has any other ideas for the other 2 feel free to share
i personally think baal's gnosis might be a knight because of the war inside inazuma, as well as murata's also might be one. i think wisdom and justice might be bishops, and the tsaritsa might have the second rook because she tries to be a wall, defending the people from the divine. but i also like your idea of knight for tsaritsa, then maybe baal has the rook as a fix wall protecting eternity. im wondering of the sustainer of heavenly principals has the king or if the king is possessed by an entity completely unknown at this point
@@firby7341 those are very interesting ideas I’ve seen some theories where people think that the king is celestia itself and I think murata and the tsarista both being knight might make sense because love and war are opposites that are connected to each other.
I think that the dendro archon’s gnosis might be a pawn actually, because the dendro archon is young and maybe naive as well. The hydro archon seems like a bishop, tho I think it’s possible their gnosis could be a pawn as well because the hydro archon doesn’t want to anger the gods.
Love the video! Aether and Lumine are very interesting protagonists, even though I lean more towards Aether since I chose him. Both also have different personalities if you check all their voicelines with Paimon in the character menu. One line shows how Lumine is actually more aware of things in Tevyat if you choose her, while Aether can be confused with things or metaphors that are common in Tevyat. Also, the Traveller's actions at the start of the Inazuma make sense, since they're still shaken by all the revelations from the We Will Be Reunited quest. We can also see how the Traveller is uncertain after trying to talk to Zhongli in his second character quest. Lastly, I feel that the questions Dainsleif asks us in 1.3 will have permanent effects in our playthrough depending on how the story will go moving forward. Will our twin be like their sibling at the end? With no trust in the gods, or will they be different from their sibling and stand against them for Tevyat? There's also the possibility that our twin could surprise everyone, even Dainsleif, and do something at the end that could change the story of Genshin. Tldr, I love Aether and just want him to be happy so go level up your MC and give them love 💕
Aether (I also chose Aether) was already my most favorite character in Genshin Impact. It's because of many reasons, but I didn't notice the ideals of seven gods in him before. But Watching this video, just made me like him a lot more. Thanks
Thanks to your previous and this Aether video i'm now paying More attention to Aether's options while playing, he has a lot of personality and his options show this, it doesn't really matter what we choose, because he has already decided what he's going to say or do (and i know this is gameplay mechanic, but i like to think of it like this >
If they give traveller proper voiceovers in more dialogue, like in every archon quest, more people would like them as a a character. Shame that the only way to know their personality is from the profile voicelines and from observing the dialogue choices, which for some people, is not interesting
Epic video, brilliant composition, and refreshing insights. But a simple thing has given me chills and that is the plausible theory that the reason we can change names is because it is meant to represent Aether's faux name in his travels. I feel silly for what I gave him now. Haha!
THIS IS SO DEEP WHAT SLKJTHSLKEJFHTGKLESJRG im so glad that i stumbled across your channel, i thought that this video was going to be another one of those videos where its basically just reviewing everything that has happened and kind of summarizing everything but this really blew away my expectations you can instantly tell that a LOT of effort and thought has been put into this and I absolutely love how you managed to use what little information we have about the archons, 7 nations, the abyss order and other information mihoyo has hinted/gave us so far to come up with such *deep* theories, possibilities and things alike that really make your brain wonder about the future nations, and the direction of how the story/entire genshin lore is gonna go plus, although this is just a theory and it may not actually be like this, i still really love this because it MAKES SENSE and you can definitely see a possibility of this happening and it being canon I also really appreciate how you discussed so many topics while also making everything extremely easy to understand as a person who really loves lore but despises reading (i really should but procrastination says no), I genuinely feel blessed to be able to have access to content like this and I think that the theory you came up with is really amazing while it can heavily connect to the whole story hopefully this all makes sense (sorry about the weird format) and i will most definitely be checking out your other videos in the future (and the ones you have made already) for sure!

This also shows why the characters have their especific visions. Ex: Xinqiu has a sense of justice, that's why he has a hydro vision. And so if the traveler doesn't feel love or idk what would happen, will they lose that element?
There are many similarities I've noticed between the Traveller(s) and the keyblade masters from the Kingdom Hearts series - the Traveller's withholding their true/native name, age, and origins could be akin to KH's concept of "Keeping The World Order": they have the freedom to travel space and time in their worldhopping but must not interfere with the progress/order of these worlds by revealing this [cosmic] knowledge and thus altering a world's trajectory... this "contract" of interdimensional travel rules seems to be something that the Abyss Sibling failed to keep to and now actively rejects, in rebellion not only against Celestia but the [Cosmic Order] also.

Mondstadt and it's ideal of freedom were such a good choice for the nation to kick off our adventures too... I have an affinity for eastern and middle eastern architecture, clothing and general visual aspects of those cultures, but Mondstadt will always remind me of the very beginning, when everything was so unfamiliar to me. Since the last 5 years or so, I notice I feel nostalgia for events much more recent than I used to, thinking about the early game already brings it all back, such a magical phase in playing a long-term game, and miHoYo leaned into it excellently.
Watching this video makes feel very exited for their next journey .... But I have to ask, if so that Aether is the embodiment of all 7 ideals of Teyvat does that mean his individuality as a person will remain stagnant to remain all 7 ideals? or is it still possible for him to change as a person someway along his journey?? Its just a fruit for thought, because the ideals he holds can be contradictory to one another if one of these traits were taken to extreme. With that in mind, if he were to go through change it brings a risk for him to losing one of his traits said in this video.
I don't think we can expect much change from him as he is still a silent character. It's likely he'll begin to more clearly embody those 7 ideals and learning more about Teyvat itself.
@@silverhawkscape2677 I do find it a bit disappointing about characters with a stagnant personality trait as I am bigger fan on stories where the character grow through their struggles and grow as a person through their journey, but Im not againts these types of characters as well, as they usually embody the "ideal" type character that gives light to the people they meet along the way and serves as role model for use us the players (you know like the usual message of the in stories, like we should love our family, be kind to others and etc) thus needing these types of characters to remain strong with their beliefs and unwaivered to any obstacle they go through. But yet again the traveler is not exactly human so I guess it kinda works in a narrative standpoint.

That being said I did start to develop a nagging question. When it comes to writing most good writing follows that cycle referred to as The Hero's journey. So based on that I am truly concerned what transformations our beloved Traveler may yet go through. Then there is 'this' other idea. The Traveler is really really odd, if you ask me. It is true the MC comes off as empathic and fearless and yet, the Traveler doesn't often project their own Will upon others unless they are both asked to and are motivated by their own sense of justice. There are times I feel I don't know the Traveler at all since it's never presented to us how the Traveler might be forced to change or ask others for help beyond asking for information. That's not even mentioning just how much information the Traveler themselves are still withholding from others.

@@ChillwithAster Indeed, the Traveler is most definitely the main plot device used to explore the world of Tehvat and it begins and ends there. We haven't really learned anything new about the Traveler even under Albedo's sharp scrutiny. (Probably one of the strangest questlines in the game to date.) We mainly learned only that for all other purposes, The Traveler appears to function as a human being and at the same time, is not like any other human being in the world of Tehvat. The Traveler gives next to nothing away projecting innocence and nievety yet at the same time boldly confronting issues head on without guile or cunning. At the same time, hardly revealing any hint or details about themselves. Personally I perceive the Traveler as a Storm, an errant star causing upheaval where ever they go. The reason for this is because of the Travelers nature. Constantly changing the world with our actions no matter how large or small, is literally tearing a massive hole in the loom of Teyvat's Fate. As all the souls of Tehvat have their fate predestined, one could assume that as neither the Traveler nor their sibling are from this world originally that all our actions will more or less disrupt the stagnation of the world and its destined outcomes.

It was nice to listen to you you have warm soft voice. I haven't really thought of what other nations will represent but it's interesting to see. I kinda had idea about dendro land being academic and whatnot because that's clearly hinted ..but hydro being justice land, pyro being war land ( ok that I might've guess ), and cryo being love land..that's yeah interesting. I guess cryo land needs most love because that's how you survive in tough lands of ice...with a lot of love and companionship. I hope that Lumine ( protagonist in my case)'s journey to find her brother doesn't change her. I hope she keeps love for her brother no matter what and I hope she can win his heart in the end.

Something interesting could be said out of all this: that Aether and Lumine (whether which of them is the MC and the Abyss Sibling) actually represent Teyvat in every aspect, and maybe that's what the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles doesn't want to allow them to consider, in order for them to not achieve full power and not join forces (hence the 500-year time-placing difference)... It's just a theory, anyways...

No. He has no special abilities of which Albedo has asked him about. Albedo then ponders the though of if we have powers which are independent from Teyvat (i.e. powers which closely align with Teyvat) or is moulded by Teyvat (i.e. we can't fly like how we did in the intro because Teyvat prevents us from using this ability). Using elements without a vision is possible, as elemental beings can use them (ex-archons, slimes, crystal flies, whopperflowers, earth dragons, etc). So everything we have done so far is not otherworldly, just slightly unusual.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I'M WORRIED ABOUT. Granted there's no telling what's gonna happen in the nations moving forward, but if the Abyss Twin looks so cold, broken and even defeated, I really worry for what's gonna happen to Aether as he goes along. I also can't shake the feeling that once the twins reunite for real, it's not going to be a happy ending. Whether Aether raises his sword against his sister, or Lumine is too far gone to be saved. Granted this is all years from now, but I can't stop thinking and speculating regardless.

Well, the sibling went on their journey during a time of war and destruction while the traveller is on their journey in a world of relative peace. So hopefully the peaceful nature of modern Teyvat will keep the traveller sain. However, we must remember whatever journey the sibling took was so bad it makes both siblings possibly corrupt.

Aether is sassy sunshine son and he deserves the spotlight.
The last part caught my attention about Love and Cryo. Through our journey, we see different type of family dynamics: Healthy (Jean & Barbara), Broken (Diluc & Keaya), Not-related-by-blood (Albedo & Klee) Royalty (Ayaka & Ayato), Protective (Teucer & Ajax)
Regardless, of Lumine or Aether, their sibling is the main reason why they became an Traveller. Despite all his powers and skills, Aether is not a hero, not some angel from the sky. As showed by his dialogue about the Vision Hunt Decree. He is just a boy on a mission, and something tells me that when he reachs the end of his journey and reunited with his sister. Will he stay on Tevyat or leave? Will he become more jaded and cynical through each Archon, quest or trial presented? Will still look at his friend with care or the former archons with disdain?
Hmm I’m not sure Ayaka and her brother is royalty, they are just really noble in inazuma and we’re born from a noble family that has a high status lol

The way ayaka coerced us into helping the resistance traveller seems like they might stay in teyvat. Though you can see the abyss sibling doesn’t dislike or hate the other because they’re on the wrong side, as they want you to see why this world is bad and leave together. It would be super weird if mihoyo makes us fight our sibling when there’s no reason to.
I am sure i’m not the only one who’s feeling more compelled to play MC thanks to your videos. The silent protagonist is something i’m not very fond off… but you give him the voice he lacks. Thx so much for that. I feel much more connected to Aether like never before. Looking forward for morr

Well at least he voice acted tanjaro from demon Slayer, (if I spelt his name wrong me sorry).
I'll never understand why they decided to omit the voice acting during his dialogues. Maybe it is to portray the traveler as the player themselves and not as some different characters, in this case not as Aether or Lumine. What's ironic is that the voice acting of Traveler is actually really good. I listened to Aether specifically and found his voice well-fitting and convincing. It also seems to put the narrative in a more compelling way.

Regardless one thing that I have noticed I spend a lot of time doing is going though some dialogue options in his character. Just like with all the other playable character in genshin, listening to hiw he interacts with both the world and paimon gives him a deeper sence of character.
I shed a tear when Zhongli entrusted the history of Teyvat to me. Gosh, I can't with this game!
I think the traveler brothers are a pretty good representation of us.
-They travel contless worlds (Play lots of games)
-Live for an eternity (time to complete all those games)
-Lie about their real name inspite of having canonic ones (player nickname)
-And maybe they know how to behave because they have seen a lot of character and story tropes
Aether (or Lumine, which ever twin you chose) will and have been in these situations where he has to go to war for Inazuma and the resistance. Where contracts have chained him to a certain path. My understanding of this is when Aether goes to a certain region in Teyvat, he doesn’t keep most of their ideals. He continues on his search for the love of his sister, he has been in many situations where he has to prove his innocence, from stealing the holy lyre to being suspected of assassinating a God to being a fugitive because of him being “the enemy to eternity”. His wisdom is not only on his knowledge but also extends beyond, he may be knowledgeable in most situations but his willingness to inquire and gather new knowledge from his surroundings. Also out of topic, but the big statues we see from the archons so far have two wings, technically making them angels who handle affairs between mortal and divine works, which is their role as an archon- to supervise the people under their rein, especially the vision wielders, now Aether and Lumine had 6 wings, even though they seemed artificial, we can see that the wings were made of light, coincidentally their names mean “light” in one way or the other, my point is: the Traveler could possibly be a seraph, they are higher in rank and power compared to angels and they are the ones who, according to some religious texts, guard the throne of God, which could be Celestia. But these are all my speculations.

While this is Definitely just a thought experiment, it is interesting to see just how ignorant these godly ideals can definitely be. A good example of this is freedom to sloth in which venti has adopted a very "ayt they got this" mentality when talking about mond.

For me, I've never treated the traveler as those blank slated mc's you use to progress a story. It's always been apparent to me that he is his own person with his own goals, personality and thoughts.
For his adventure though, we can clearly see what kind of progression he'll have, especially in Inazuma. He's slowly getting worn down as he adventures, seeing the darker sides of Teyvat, and also now burdened with this knowledge of how far his sister has fallen. I have no doubt in my mind that if he, at any point, encountered the God that trapped them in Teyvat, he would murk her on fucking sight, and I wouldn't blame him.
But another thing I, and a lot of other people are starting to realize, is that the journey would probably end with a decision the traveler will have to make. We understand that, whatever our sister went through 500 years ago, has changed her so irrevocably that she's willing to throw countries into danger for her goals, abandon her own sibling, had barely any reaction to seeing him in the first place after so long despite KNOWING how desperately we were looking for her, and now she basically wants to kill Celestia.
This journey isn't just for Aether to understand what happened. It's also him understanding the very core of every part of Teyvat, 500 years past his sibling. He learns the good and bad sides of it.
This is why Paimon is so important. She's his guide, and is the one constant in his adventure, and has seen everything he has seen. I bank all my money that she is going to play a massive role in the final decision we make. Regardless of whether or not our sibling will change her mind and we can get that happy ending, I know for a FACT that it will be either helping her destroy Teyvat, or protecting Teyvat, a land we've seen and known, and now love enough to go against our sibling. It's not out of character, it's just love. The entire point of the journey. It's which love Aether decides to choose.
Aether and Lumine are absolutely precious. If anything happens to any of them we will have issues MHY. On another note I really enjoyed this traveler video and I hope we get to discuss more about them after Inazuma ends.
yeah on that note, MHY do hold some reputations with their stories.
Considering that Genshin and Honkai's universes are both connected to the imaginary tree, I wonder if Aether and Lumine are aware about the honkai, or what causes it. Considering how Celestia is against the advancement of technology (which is what attracts honkai in the first place) I wonder how closely connected the characters and lore are.
And with the advancements, comes the arrogation against celestia, and the world and hopefully reaching the truth or sumn, they always keep shit in line, and the cycle starts

We have an idea that the Fatui and the Cryo archon's from grace happened after the fall of Kharienneh. She knows the faith of her people, and for the love of her people, she closed her heart and put it up a front against Celestia and the heavens to protect the ones she cares, even if it comes at the cost of her being hated

This is a valid theory that I’m willing to bet could have some weight to it moving forward. Making the Cryo Archon be the last one the Traveler gets could also mean that they’ll finally get why the Abyss Twin did what they did. They did the same thing the Cryo Archon did, shutting themselves out in fear of hurting those they love.

I feel that in their search for us, they realize time is what separates them and seeks the power to traverse time. But in order to do so, they had to endure a bunch of stuff that led to their current disposition.

Maybe experiencing the 500 years strengthened the Abyss twin’s decision, thinking that it was for the best that we didn’t get to see the horrors they did. To keep that sassy, optimistic, and noble personality. They couldn’t bear to see us broken down by what could have happened to Teyvat.
You can also see it from Aether and Lumine's talent level-up material, unlike other characters they use different types of talent books.
That is unique to each region they visit signifying that they can obtain all of those and as the story progress they can gain more,
maybe it is one of the reasons why we don't keep the levels on the talent when we change elements.
At the end of his journey, his hardest and toughest decision will be upon him and after that one more door is left to pass through and then the threads of all fate will be in his hands for him to reweave.
Will Aether let millions of lives some of which look up to him or hold him dear to their hearts, burn for him to be with his only kin or will he end his only kin once and for all to save the millions lives, no one deserves to be in this situation, however this decision must made whether it is to be liked or not.

I really like the idea of traveler embodying the archon’s ideals and we still have 4.5 more regions to see how traveler applies to these ideals and how they’ll change with each archon quest. You have a good voice and way with words that makes you easy to listen and you clearly appreciate the intricate details for the characters of this game. This game is beautiful and these videos remind me how beautiful it is. I cried twice from this video when I was reminded of zhongli claiming to pass down teyvat’s history down to traveler and realizing that in the last region full of ice and of a god who’s closed her heart, there will be love
I think another example for MC embodying Wisdom is how he is making choices in the story.
Wisdom comes with age, wisdom comes with experience, no matter how great or insignificant it may be, wisdom is still wisdom.
With this wisdom that you have gained, use it to guide yourself in the future, for wisdom is one of the many things that prevents one from repeating the same mistakes.
Currently, Aether has learned a lot during his travels and because of this, it affects his future decisions, the aether we know now wont be the same aether by the end of the story, similar to how the Lumine Aether once knew, won't be the same Lumine he knew back then.
The travellers they once were, the decisions they once made, the people they once trusted, all of it won't stay the same

The Inazuman archon quests really sort of hit me in regard to the traveler’s character. Mihoyo really stepped it up in 2.0. Before, Aether was more of a reluctant passenger almost (imo). With Stormterror, he literally got whisked up in a tornado and Venti just dumped a wind gun on him and Aether was kinda like “oh ok”. With Osial, Childe basically pulled a fast one on him and Aether pretty much had to help or they’d all be screwed. But this time, he had a choice. It was really unexpected for me to just see him basically go “no❤️“ to Thoma’s (idk spelling rip) offer to join the resistance. I thought he’d join immediately because it’s sort of like how most people in Teyvat see him as this great hero; it just made sense. I thought it was really cool to actually see how the decree was affecting people, and learn more about visions along the way. I feel like what makes Inazuma so much more different from Mondstadt and Liyue is that Aether is actually making most of the major choices, he’s directing the story this time. Instead of just all this crazy shit happening around him and him reacting, we get a more candid look into his thoughts and feelings. It’s a great reflection not just of the overall story, but of his character development. When before in the first 2 regions, we sort of get strung along and pulled into all sorts of wacky highjinks, with little to no direction or clear objectives, now we’re taking control, considering the consequences, gaining more sense of the world and how it works. I don’t wanna say jaded, but more so logical. It feels like we’re out of the play pen and running through the halls (lol idk wot that means but ok). I can’t wait to see what the next region holds in store ( I think it’s Sumeru? Don’t quote me), because each region of Teyvat seems to be like a sort of test for Aether. Different attributes of his character and different morals and world views are put on trial with each experience Aether has, as seen in some of the voice lines. I think that his main takeaways from these experiences and his main objective will one day clash, and that will be the choice he has to make. One of the best things about Lumine and Aether’s dynamic to me is their feelings. Which I’m glad you touched on at the end. Lumine’s feelings of anger and war are the exact opposite of what her name suggests; dark and cold. I feel the same will be said of Aether soon, as you said, Aether is basically eternal. But one of his main traits is his empathy. An empathy for things and people that to him are probably fleeting. I feel there will most definitely be a clash between the two over this at some point.

One thing I disagree with us aether being in control for this arc. I'm the beginning yes he was but after the fight with the shogun he was once more the errand boy. Not to mention the players, I for one wanted to say no the second time to joining the resistance but the game forced me, I would've preferred if there was a small difference telltale style where your choices don't matter but the road to get to the end does change.

There is evidence as they are the only ones besides the archon that have portraits of themselves as their constellations. They seem to also be immortal and even zhongli is his story quest seems to catch on to this.
And from what we can guess once they got most if not all the elements and their original power they would be stronger than the archons seeing how with just 2 elements the traveler can beat one of the strongest fatui with a delusion

The final stretch of MC's journey is to reconcile the unreconcilable - the journey of all Cryo Vision holders.
The fact that Pyro is before Cryo - Natlan before Snezhnaya - and just knowing simple storytelling dynamics; the second highest point of Genshin Impact will be in Natlan, and the lowest will be in Snezhnaya. "The rules of war are woven in the womb..." They're twins, they would've shared a womb, meaning the rules that govern their respective wars are exactly the same; the sense of justice you see in Aether is the same that Lumine operates on. "The victors burn bright, while the losers must turn to ash;" this is the dichotomy that MC will attempt to reconcile because they'll find themself on the opposite side of their sibling on the battlefield, protecting Teyvat from Khaenri'ah's vengeance. This is where the game changes, however; MC, unlike the Cryo Vision holders, is free from the principles of Teyvat - it is why Venti and Zhongli lean on them so much. They have the freedom to reach the impossible reconciliation, and a grand rebellion with which to shatter the false sky above. The forceful ascension into Celestia will be the climax of Genshin Impact, both literally and literarily.
There's a special relationship between Cryo and Anemo and I think the best way to explain it is through Kazuha. If he were to gain a Vision while his family still had its fortune, I believe he would have been Cryo - much like Ayaka is now - always trying to find a way to both be a free spirit while also maintaining his duty to his clan. Eula and Jean are interchangeable in that both have an extreme sense of responsibility towards their respective families and traditions. Andrius manifests both Cryo and Anemo because he somehow manages to watch over Mondstadt despite despising humans as a whole - in a way being able to reconcile two opposed aspects of himself, though at the cost of his life no less. MC even helps Venti truly enact freedom by helping him realise that a mandated freedom is no freedom at all - his rule as Archon and his core value are diametrically opposed concepts and should not be able to coexist by all accounts. In the resolution of such an unreconcilable internal conflict, Venti is able to realign himself with his core value, that is the main connection between Cryo and Anemo.
Anemo Vision holders seem to receive their Visions at that very moment of peace, often alongside the reinstatement of a certain value within the Vision holder - for Jean, it's her duty to Mondstadt, "For Mondstadt, as always."; for Sucrose, it's her boundless curiosity; for Kazuha, it's his freedom loving spirit, unbound by the expectations of 'Kaedehara'. MC does have one such value, shared with their twin - "Home is wherever we are together." At the end of this journey, the twins will return home, I believe that without a shade of a doubt - I also think that they will stay in Teyvat and their connection to the stars will be lost.
The last we see of them would be the moment they are blessed with an Anemo Vision, bound to the principles of Teyvat but free to make their home wherever they please.
"When all is said and done, when he does finish his journey, will he still have any love left in him?"

I know this is kind of irrelevant to the video, but I have a theory about paimon. (As you know, genshin impact took inspiration from gnosticism, and I think that the god of teyvat is just one of the creations of the real god). Lumine and aether were angles sent by the real god, but they were erased of their memories. After lumine raised the abyss order to power, the god of teyvat realized that he/she/they cannot kill the twins, so the god sent Paimon to change aether's opinions about teyvat and stop him from realizing the truth. The reason why i don't think paimon is a suriving god from the archon war or a god who rebelled against celestia is because venti, zhongli and baal gave no reaction to her. I think the archons knew about paimon and her plans before aether woke up, so that would only make paimon one of the god's direct servants.(Paimon was the name of one of the kings of hell(similar to barbatos, morax and baal), Paimon can unravel the mysteries of the earth(elements), was loyal to lucifer, had an unmanly face and wears a crown.)

One noticeable change in Aether is that as unwavering as his love for his sister is, by the time of Inazuma he seems to be caring about going out of his way to make significant changes in the world out of his love for Teyvat less and less, to the point where he actually outright refuses to help the Inazuman vision-bearers at one point despite previously taking an immediate liking to Mondstadt and Liyue
Swapping the ideals for the elements of love and war would make more sense in my world: love is like a burning flame, but it grows cold during times of war

The part where u mentioned 'love' in aether almost made me cry. It's FOUR MY GOODNESS-
But other than that, you have a point. No matter who his sister despises, he still has space for her and his friends of what his sister hate. He has separate love for both his friends and family, I love that and it's what I noticed most of the times during playing genshin. That's why I'm mostly scared if he's willing to choose tevyat or his sister, because in this case, aether loves both equally, and nothing will change his love for both. He loves the ppl around tevyat who he considered as friends, he loves his sister who he has travel with from world to world, yet who knows, if near the future, would he even chose between two? Or maybe a different path from where he will choose. Like how most ppl describe the traveler, not much is known about him, other than the fact that he's a trust worthy, helpful and loving person and a hero who raises his blade for nations to nations. But what will they do, if one were to raise a blade at them instead?
Based on the ending of this, I would find it intriguing if Aether or Lumine whichever you choose to play as becomes the final boss and the people they bonded with throughout the story have to fight them to save them. It would be a concise end twist if the love is lost
Don't worry, someday, the mc Aether may acquire stronger skill set as the story progress as Aether had the choice to answer "gradually restoring my former power" and "collecting the powers of the seven elements" when Childe questioned Aether as Aether defeated the Harbinger.
As long as the ending sees Aether and Lumine reunite I don't care even if the whole of Teyvat and Celestia burns
I was thinking of the seven ideals and how they connect to the Knossos that each archon has as each piece is a chess piece for example Barbotos’ Knossos was a queen the piece with the most freedom on the board. I think Morox’s Knossos is a rook because contracts give freedom in movement as well as what color space your on but still contained with in restraints. I think Baal’s Knossos will be a bishop because a bishop is contained on spots of the same color you could say they’re eternally bound to only those spots. I think the hydro archon’# Justice will also be represented as a bishop because one who greatly values justice with stick with there justice not breaking a bending it. I Think that although the cryo archon’s ideal has changed going of their previous ideal of love I think they’re Knossos will be a knight because the knight is kinda of an oddball piece with very specific constraints but it’s king similar to love as it can jump over other pieces avoid conflict and continue past others to follow or reach that which they love and that love they follow can also restrict them from doing certain things just as the knight has very specific movement restrictions. Those are all I have so if anyone has any other ideas for the other 2 feel free to share
i personally think baal's gnosis might be a knight because of the war inside inazuma, as well as murata's also might be one. i think wisdom and justice might be bishops, and the tsaritsa might have the second rook because she tries to be a wall, defending the people from the divine. but i also like your idea of knight for tsaritsa, then maybe baal has the rook as a fix wall protecting eternity.
im wondering of the sustainer of heavenly principals has the king or if the king is possessed by an entity completely unknown at this point
@@firby7341 those are very interesting ideas I’ve seen some theories where people think that the king is celestia itself and I think murata and the tsarista both being knight might make sense because love and war are opposites that are connected to each other.
I think that the dendro archon’s gnosis might be a pawn actually, because the dendro archon is young and maybe naive as well. The hydro archon seems like a bishop, tho I think it’s possible their gnosis could be a pawn as well because the hydro archon doesn’t want to anger the gods.

Love the video! Aether and Lumine are very interesting protagonists, even though I lean more towards Aether since I chose him. Both also have different personalities if you check all their voicelines with Paimon in the character menu. One line shows how Lumine is actually more aware of things in Tevyat if you choose her, while Aether can be confused with things or metaphors that are common in Tevyat. Also, the Traveller's actions at the start of the Inazuma make sense, since they're still shaken by all the revelations from the We Will Be Reunited quest. We can also see how the Traveller is uncertain after trying to talk to Zhongli in his second character quest. Lastly, I feel that the questions Dainsleif asks us in 1.3 will have permanent effects in our playthrough depending on how the story will go moving forward. Will our twin be like their sibling at the end? With no trust in the gods, or will they be different from their sibling and stand against them for Tevyat? There's also the possibility that our twin could surprise everyone, even Dainsleif, and do something at the end that could change the story of Genshin. Tldr, I love Aether and just want him to be happy so go level up your MC and give them love 💕

im so glad that i stumbled across your channel, i thought that this video was going to be another one of those videos where its basically just reviewing everything that has happened and kind of summarizing everything but this really blew away my expectations
you can instantly tell that a LOT of effort and thought has been put into this and I absolutely love how you managed to use what little information we have about the archons, 7 nations, the abyss order and other information mihoyo has hinted/gave us so far to come up with such *deep* theories, possibilities and things alike that really make your brain wonder about the future nations, and the direction of how the story/entire genshin lore is gonna go
plus, although this is just a theory and it may not actually be like this, i still really love this because it MAKES SENSE and you can definitely see a possibility of this happening and it being canon

The way you put your thoughts into everything in this and the way you voiced it really got me in my feels.
There are many similarities I've noticed between the Traveller(s) and the keyblade masters from the Kingdom Hearts series - the Traveller's withholding their true/native name, age, and origins could be akin to KH's concept of "Keeping The World Order": they have the freedom to travel space and time in their worldhopping but must not interfere with the progress/order of these worlds by revealing this [cosmic] knowledge and thus altering a world's trajectory... this "contract" of interdimensional travel rules seems to be something that the Abyss Sibling failed to keep to and now actively rejects, in rebellion not only against Celestia but the [Cosmic Order] also.

Mondstadt and it's ideal of freedom were such a good choice for the nation to kick off our adventures too...
I have an affinity for eastern and middle eastern architecture, clothing and general visual aspects of those cultures, but Mondstadt will always remind me of the very beginning, when everything was so unfamiliar to me. Since the last 5 years or so, I notice I feel nostalgia for events much more recent than I used to, thinking about the early game already brings it all back, such a magical phase in playing a long-term game, and miHoYo leaned into it excellently.

Watching this video makes feel very exited for their next journey .... But I have to ask, if so that Aether is the embodiment of all 7 ideals of Teyvat does that mean his individuality as a person will remain stagnant to remain all 7 ideals? or is it still possible for him to change as a person someway along his journey?? Its just a fruit for thought, because the ideals he holds can be contradictory to one another if one of these traits were taken to extreme. With that in mind, if he were to go through change it brings a risk for him to losing one of his traits said in this video.
I don't think we can expect much change from him as he is still a silent character.
It's likely he'll begin to more clearly embody those 7 ideals and learning more about Teyvat itself.
@@silverhawkscape2677 I do find it a bit disappointing about characters with a stagnant personality trait as I am bigger fan on stories where the character grow through their struggles and grow as a person through their journey, but Im not againts these types of characters as well, as they usually embody the "ideal" type character that gives light to the people they meet along the way and serves as role model for use us the players (you know like the usual message of the in stories, like we should love our family, be kind to others and etc) thus needing these types of characters to remain strong with their beliefs and unwaivered to any obstacle they go through. But yet again the traveler is not exactly human so I guess it kinda works in a narrative standpoint.
Love your channel. Glad I recently found it because I haven’t found many content creators on Genshin talking about lore. Mainly about units, meta, waifus or tutorial guides. So cool I stumbled onto this, keep up the good work

@@ChillwithAster I will most probably continue to leave paragraph long comments when I can. Your video had me curled up like a cat so it was hard to respond immediately. That being said I did start to develop a nagging question. When it comes to writing most good writing follows that cycle referred to as The Hero's journey. So based on that I am truly concerned what transformations our beloved Traveler may yet go through. Then there is 'this' other idea. The Traveler is really really odd, if you ask me. It is true the MC comes off as empathic and fearless and yet, the Traveler doesn't often project their own Will upon others unless they are both asked to and are motivated by their own sense of justice. There are times I feel I don't know the Traveler at all since it's never presented to us how the Traveler might be forced to change or ask others for help beyond asking for information. That's not even mentioning just how much information the Traveler themselves are still withholding from others.
@@witchcandy3671 I feel like the MC is definitely equally a plot device and character that builds the mysteries of the world. I deffinitely agree that it's so odd that the Traveler is quite closed off to most people, even Paimon, and I even wonder if ANYONE actually knows who they really are because PAIMON didn't know about their 500 years before meeting Dain. I wonder how they're gonna present that in all honesty
@@ChillwithAster Indeed, the Traveler is most definitely the main plot device used to explore the world of Tehvat and it begins and ends there. We haven't really learned anything new about the Traveler even under Albedo's sharp scrutiny. (Probably one of the strangest questlines in the game to date.) We mainly learned only that for all other purposes, The Traveler appears to function as a human being and at the same time, is not like any other human being in the world of Tehvat. The Traveler gives next to nothing away projecting innocence and nievety yet at the same time boldly confronting issues head on without guile or cunning. At the same time, hardly revealing any hint or details about themselves. Personally I perceive the Traveler as a Storm, an errant star causing upheaval where ever they go. The reason for this is because of the Travelers nature. Constantly changing the world with our actions no matter how large or small, is literally tearing a massive hole in the loom of Teyvat's Fate. As all the souls of Tehvat have their fate predestined, one could assume that as neither the Traveler nor their sibling are from this world originally that all our actions will more or less disrupt the stagnation of the world and its destined outcomes.
Oh my gosh that ending👏💖 Great analysis of the traveler, and pointing out all their traits and connections with each of the archons’ ideals!

It was nice to listen to you you have warm soft voice. I haven't really thought of what other nations will represent but it's interesting to see. I kinda had idea about dendro land being academic and whatnot because that's clearly hinted ..but hydro being justice land, pyro being war land ( ok that I might've guess ), and cryo being love land..that's yeah interesting. I guess cryo land needs most love because that's how you survive in tough lands of ice...with a lot of love and companionship. I hope that Lumine ( protagonist in my case)'s journey to find her brother doesn't change her. I hope she keeps love for her brother no matter what and I hope she can win his heart in the end.

Something interesting could be said out of all this: that Aether and Lumine (whether which of them is the MC and the Abyss Sibling) actually represent Teyvat in every aspect, and maybe that's what the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles doesn't want to allow them to consider, in order for them to not achieve full power and not join forces (hence the 500-year time-placing difference)... It's just a theory, anyways...

Thank you for reminding me what actually drew me to the story. I really enjoy the main story and can't wait what will come next and maybe I will start play Aether again. Also I'm little worried about Aether cuz we're not even in the half of a story and he stands against a literal god. I know you said that he might be stronger than anyone of the archons but at his full potential so I just have second thouths if he really can beat Baal or something else will happen.
