Can’t appreciate more, I have watched lots of English teaching videos here and really like yours. U speak slowly and so I can repeat after you. And I can learn many new words every time though I am not sure I can remember all of them. I need to write them down next time.

Thank you so much dear for another great lesson . Definitely these lessons are quite nice because we use all these verbs and vocabulary in daily conversations and situations, I crawl when I play with children , I jump rope daily I also squats while I do exccersie I use to hop with my friends when I was as a child and it was a kind of play in our country. children kick the ball when they play football or usually they kick whenever they fight with each others .
Yes, it's good to study different vocabulary. There are words we need for more academic/professional situations, but there are also words that are useful to know for our everyday lives. Thank you for sharing your examples. Yes, I could have mentioned the game hopscotch. I played that as a little girl and with my own kids where they were much younger. Small corrections: ...it was kind of a game in our country. / whenever they fight with each other.
First of all, I thank you so much, when I read a novel, even if I know that word, I could not shape it in front of my eyes or couldnt imagine it. I was looking the word up time after time in different, various dictionary but I stiil couldnt describe it in myself. Now, I exactly know what is what and which word means what, which word includes which motion. All happened after I watched this video. Tons of Thanks to you again from the bottom of my heart. Hi Jennifer what's up Great video you're amazing teacher I love exercise I walk every day for one hour Thanks a lot and have a great weekend you and your family 😉👍
Hi there, Aparecido. It's wonderful that you stay active. A whole hour of walking is great. I can only go for about 15-20 minutes in the morning. Then I might go later in the day for another 5-10. Hope you've had a good weekend!

Yes, there's quite a lot to describe. You can go to YouGlish and search for words like trip, stumble, fall, etc. and you'll see different uses. Remember that "trip" is also a noun and can refer to our travels to another place. Context is very important to understand how words are used.

Hi Jennifer.! Again I appreciate your dedication with us and consider it is a very useful class. Thank you! My answers to your questions: 1. I'm not good at kicking a soccer ball. 2. I can sit patiently most of the time. However, sometimes I lose control and then I get up and pace back and forth. 3. I never walk and text at the same time because I could trip and fall. 4. I think crawling can be good for phisical fitness in the sense of moving the body, but I do prefer to squat down or lunge when I'm exercising. 5. I walk quietly and fast in order to not disturb people and make good use of the time. Greetings!!!
Your answers are similar to mine! I think you'd be a good person for me to shop with. I race around quickly. :) Suggestions: 4. I think crawling can be good for physical fitness in the sense that I'd move my whole body, but I prefer to do squats or lunges when I'm exercising. 5. I walk quietly and fast in order to not disturb people and make good use of my time.
Hi Danilo. Please consider sharing the FB post as a quick review. You can check their answers to the questions in the video. Very nice and useful. I walk slowly without making any noise. I think I'm a slow walker. I never prefer to type and walk at the same time; it's really dangerous sometimes. I jog and run in the morning. I've never been on a soccer team. I was very bad at it but I used to play it with my street friends when I was at school; they often made me stand at the goal post.
It's great that you jog and run each morning. You're in better shape than I am. I played kick ball as a kid, but I wasn't very good at it either. I didn't really play soccer. You can say, " I used to play it with the kids on my street." You can also say, "They made me play goalie."
@@Englishwithjennifer really you are fantastic... I am a teacher in Aviation Academy, too. That's why I understand your job is difficult, but you love your job..
Hi Andrea. I hope it was a fun review and expansion. :) Maybe in a future video we'll talk about bodily injuries in a conversational way (e.g., twist one's ankle.) That might be on familiar territory for you, though I don't know you're specialty in medicine. :) Take care!
I'm glad you like studying vocabulary with me. I may fulfill a few other requests before I come back to vocabulary again. I've been asked to add more lessons to my playlists on email and oral reading.
I'm happy you liked this lesson. I share more vocabulary in the future. I may offer some different lessons in the next few weeks. There have been requests about email, reading, grammar, culture, etc. :)
I didn’t try kicking the soccer ball yet. I can’t sit patiently but I’m trying. When I feel tired after siting, I cross my leg or start tapping my foot. I stub my toe when I walk and text. Crawling is really useful for being fit. I walk quietly now ,but I use to walk loudly.

Another amazingly helpful video! I’m just curious that why “stamp” and “stomp” have similar spelling and mean the same... You can say “stamp the foot” or “stomp the foot”, either is ok, right?
Hi Susan. How are you? :) Yes, "stamp" and "stomp" are basically the same. In dancing, cheerleading, etc. we talk about a stomp and not a stamp. See examples: www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/stomp www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/stamp One pattern I see is that you can stand in once place and stamp OR stomp your foot. But personally I think it's more common to stomp up and down the stairs, stomp across the floor, or stomp out of the room. (stomp = walking noisily)
Hi Ra'ed. I know this is more review for you, but hopefully even just a few new words or expressions will appear these kinds of lessons. You can take the lesson a step further and search for "hop skip and a jump" on YouGlish. You'll find uses in various contexts. As for the dancing, ha ha. I could have chosen any number of dances, but I wondered if anyone would recognize some of the silly steps my friends and I did back in high school decades ago!
Thanks! I think I corrected all the typos yesterday. :) I usually watch with the captions on the day after I post because I can see the captions with fresh eyes, but I always welcome your help. It's hard to proofread your own writing.
@@Englishwithjennifer Yes, you are totally right. Have you checked my new post on Simor? It was actually inspired by this video. I thought you'd find it interesting. 😀
Hi my dear teacher ! Today I came across your lesson. I have difficulty understanding the usage of two words- "open" and "closed" in these sentences : " ...you can nudge it open all the way or nudge it closed with your foot". They are adjectives or verbs ? Could you make me understand it ? Thank you in advance for taking your time in replying back !
"Open" and "closed" can be used as adjectives. A store can be open or closed. A door can be open or closed. Those adjectives in your examples are complements. They're object complements: nudge it (verb + object). Nudge it open. Nudge it closed.
I walk quietly and slowly. I can't sit patiently for a long time. I am good at kicking a soccer ball. I sometimes walk and text at the same time. I think that crawling is good for physical fitness.
Hi Mahmoud. Thanks for answering all my questions. I think we're similar with the exception of kicking a soccer ball. I'm better at hitting a golf ball. Ha ha.
I am a fast walker, and i usually walk quietly. My roommate has heavy steps. Sometimes her stomping on the stairs wakes me up in the morning, but I know she doesnt do it on purpose.
Thank you and big like. just a question that popped into my mind while I was watching the lesson . what's the difference between Do you ever and Have you ever?
Thanks for liking the video. :) Please feel free to share it too. Good question: Do you ever...? is about present habits and routines. Have you ever...? is about general experiences, especially past experiences. Examples - Do you ever drink orange juice for breakfast? Have you ever been to Paris?
Yes. It's fine to use "ever" in the simple present. The meaning difference is as I explained. But there's some overlap when in use. You'll hear both verb forms when people ask about a general experience. Go to YouGlish.com and type in both to compare contexts: do you ever have you ever
I walk slow and quietly generally. If I exercise, I try to walk faster than normally I do. I can not walk and text at the same time. If I should text immediately, I stop and text back; If the text is not emergency, I wait until I can answer.
Those are wise decisions. I try to stop what I'm doing when I need to text. I'm not always careful, but most of the time I am. ;) Corrections: I cannot walk/ I can't walk... If I need to text immediately/ If I have to text immediately... If the text isn't urgent...

Can you do some cooking verbs vocabolary? There's a lot of verbs related to kitchen. By the way, are you a good cook?😊
Great suggestion! I'll note it. I like to cook when I have the time. :)
That's Nice.
See examples:
www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/stomp
www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/stamp
One pattern I see is that you can stand in once place and stamp OR stomp your foot.
But personally I think it's more common to stomp up and down the stairs, stomp across the floor, or stomp out of the room. (stomp = walking noisily)
Another set of words and a great lesson from a fascinating teacher. By the way, you are a good dancer. 😂💃
By the way, there's a small typo in the context in 9:07 with the comma.
"If you are impatient or bored, you might..."

Thank you, Jennifer. 🌹
Thanks! I think I corrected all the typos yesterday. :) I usually watch with the captions on the day after I post because I can see the captions with fresh eyes, but I always welcome your help. It's hard to proofread your own writing.

Yes, you are totally right. Have you checked my new post on Simor? It was actually inspired by this video. I thought you'd find it interesting. 😀
Замичательно
Thank you for watching. :)
@@EnglishwithjenniferI got it. Many thanks for your rewarding help ! From Vietnam
I watch your video 1 year already!
Thank you!
Ha ha.
@@Englishwithjennifer Actually I'm fond of football.
I am a fast walker, and i usually walk quietly. My roommate has heavy steps. Sometimes her stomping on the stairs wakes me up in the morning, but I know she doesnt do it on purpose.
Yeah. It's easier to be understanding when you know the noise isn't on purpose.
Examples -
Do you ever drink orange juice for breakfast?
Have you ever been to Paris?
@@Englishwithjennifer I know that, I meant "ever" in the present simple .
it is familiar to me in the present perfect but not in the present simple.
Yes. It's fine to use "ever" in the simple present. The meaning difference is as I explained. But there's some overlap when in use. You'll hear both verb forms when people ask about a general experience.
Go to YouGlish.com and type in both to compare contexts:
do you ever
have you ever
@@Englishwithjennifer Thank you Jennifer.
some verbs that you have mentioned, I don't know the meaning of them even in my own language 😃
Hee hee. You'll have to use Google translate and see if you agree with those translations. ;)
I'm not always careful, but most of the time I am. ;)
Corrections:
I cannot walk/ I can't walk...
If I need to text immediately/ If I have to text immediately...
If the text isn't urgent...
Thank you so much ❤❤❤
