It was easy to fix. I fixed it myself at home. You have to make sure the metal is in the middle and the orange plastic will be up and down. It's working very well for me now.

Problem with the new prestige Alpha model pressure release regulator is you have to replace this valve quite often and it costs rs 25. If you don't change then cooking does not cook properly and takes more time to cook. Designed for safety but not successful, expensive in the long run, best is to replace with a safety valve , solves the problem and recurring expenditure. Tried it personally.
If float valve is the only thing working why is the whistle given like normal cooker? Once the pressure builds up if you are going to put off the flame how the whistle sound will come? We have purchased one cooker and I can't understand the float valve

from starting its not working... i tried to make it free so that it must work but its hard enough it does not come out... its silver knob is slightly thicker that the cooker which you are showing...
Few points that I have: 1. If you can get it replaced, best option 2. See if some local repair shop can fix it 3. Leave it that way, Cooker will still work fine. That is just a kind of pressure indicator. You can use it like any other normal Cooker.

Rupambika ji, iska surface chipakne se nahi bachayega. Ye stainless steel hai, ispe coating nahi hai. Isliye chipakne se poori tarah bachega nahi. But jo coating wale bartan hote hain, uski coating dhire dhire nikal jati hai, jo khane me mix ho jati hai. Aur ye chij hamare health ko nuksaan pahuchati hai. Isliye mera suggestion rahega ki coating ke bartan ke bajaye steel ke bartan use kare.

After removing pressure using whistle, immediately open the lid. Else steam develops again, because the food keeps producing steam as it is hot.

The lower handle is fixed with a single screw, which often becomes loose.
They should have provided 2 screws. Mine also has only one.

Yes outer lid ones have some pros and cons. But it is good for easy cleaning and can be used as normal pan.
Hawkins is the best, absolutely no maintenance expenses, and it cooks faster👍

After building up of pressure, you don't have to put the flame off, you have to put it on sim.

There is a problem with the GRS ..gas starts coming out from the GRS hole without giving any whistle..is there any solution?

The pressure cookef id not whistling - steam cones out cobtinously and water dries up in cookef. Any solutiin please ?
Lower the water/food content level. You can refer to the user manual for the suggested level.
