At what water volume are they spraying in order to get 70ac per hour? I’m a PCA in Arizona and look at a lot of Vegetables such as spinach springmix and multiple different commodities and I would love to use a Drone to spray the problem i have is the water volume most of the chemicals i use have a minimum of 10gal per ac so im not sure what the best way to use a spraying drone would be. Any advice?
We get this question a lot - it's a good one. BIG difference is most applicators are used to looking at the _ground_ portion of the label - for drones you'll use the _Aerial_ section (check your label). Most of the time, the AI is the same but you'll use 50-80% less carriers (water). This is because the drones will travel much faster (~18 - 28mph) than ground rigs so you are using much less carrier to get the same amount of product out in the same area. Generally, systemic herbicides will be somewhere 1-3gpa, fungicides & insecticides will be 5-20gpa. Sometimes folks are a bit skeptical going down to these low volumes, but remember the chemical manufacturers are the ones who make these labels and verify they're effective... but it's smart to do your own validation and fine-tune whatever gives you the best control of the pest/disease. Lastly - drone manufacturers will always quote productivity with the lowest application rates. We just did a standoff video here on UA-cam comparing the T40 and the P100 @ 2gpa, we saw closer to 50 ac/hr from the P100 but 32 from T40. Granted, your setup, field access, how quick you refill - all of that plays into those figures. We've been in this biz since 2014 so our guys are pretty quick... you could factor 90sec - 3mins for your ground time (swapping batteries and refilling chem). Hope this info is helpful! I recommend you check out your specific labels and see what their aerial rates are... and strongly consider incorporating drones into your biz, they're incredible tools nowadays! Cheers 🤠 -Bryan
Super. lecz proponował bym troszeczkę wolniej mówić . Zrozumiałem w zasadzie wszystko bez tłumacza ale następnym razem poprosił bym troszkę wolniej. Pozdrawiam z Polski SUPER !. but I would suggest speaking a little slower. I understood basically everything without an interpreter/translator but next time I would ask a little slower. have you guys reached out to john deere about their spray drones? I'm a farmer and I'm interested in purchasing a piece of equipment like this, but the China based outfit's scare me if we have some sort of political fallout that will render the drone useless.
We have not reached out to John Deere and really don’t know a lot about their drones, but I will definitely research. Thank you for watching. Nothing is for sure with the future of drones and I understand your concern. Wish I could tell you where this is all headed, but we have faith in where the industry is headed.
@@rednose1966 I don't have one yet, i'm cool w/ spending 10-20K on a good rig that can spray 300 acers in a weeks time. A cheap self propelled high clearance sprayer will cost north of 50-100k. My largest reservation is the pace at witch these drones have evolved, from one year to the next we seem to be triple leap frogging in capabilities and therefore making the old ones depreciate exponentially as well. I typically view a piece of ag equipment as an investment that i'll never fully utilize (run until it is junk) so i need to see some resell value in 3-5 years of operation to justify spending more then 10k on it.
Is it possible to use the drone for firefighting?
Very useful info
You don't shake your head that much bro . Your vids are very good & informational thanks!
Thank you for watching and for the kind words. That means a lot!
What you think about dji t40

I want to get one of these and fly it around my neighborhood.
Lol
@@AerialInfluence Funny thing is you don't even need a 107 if you wanted to do that for kicks.
@@GearZenChannel You do need other waivers from the FAA to operate a drone that big. It’s well over the 55 pound mark.
good dad

Where can I get one drone?? If you guys can share a link or addres where I can get info please
They are automatic, you program them, not truly autonomous.
You are correct. Thank you for correcting me. Appreciate you watching!
