This song, from The Warning’s third album ERROR (recorded in 2020 but released in 2022), dives into the crushing weight of overwhelming emotions. The protagonist doesn’t seek escape but instead surrenders to the pain, asking to “let me drown” as a way of relinquishing the struggle. According to Pau, it’s about being so consumed by feelings that you start to choke on them, offering the song as a space for listeners to feel comforted in their own struggles. Dany added that the music reflects the tension and struggle expressed in the lyrics, with every riff emphasizing that emotional battle. The song is a poignant depiction of hopelessness and emotional surrender.
Its a song about feeling overwhelmed and having the feeling like your choking or drowning with your feelings and emotions . Its not a kink song. LOL. I also feel like her vocals are perfect and show her lower register and and her higher register. Just my opinion of course.
Dany's vocals keep getting better. She sounds stronger during the Pepsi Center CDMX performance of this song. The song is about wallowing in your emotions for a while and "feeling your feels" but I think the key line is "wear your tears like jewelry" meaning it's okay to feel, everyone goes through it at some point.
This was recorded around 3 1/2 years ago so Dany's vocals have improved exponentially since then. Pau has "slightly more than 3 moves behind the kit" as you shall see when you watch a whole lot more, and as everyone seems to keep saying, the Live Pepsi Center concert is an example. See you have a lot of "links" to promote yourself, how about "links" to the artists you are reacting to, who actually make if possible to have reactors... just my thoughts. Nice reaction BTW. DPA/TW
I don't think you're too far off about straining to reach those highest notes. She gets there, don't get me wrong, but it does sound forced. I feel the same way about her Teatro Metrpolitan performance. Check out the Pepsi Center show for a performance where those notes sound more free and natural.
Interestingly it seems to be getting easier. She cruised those notes at Pepsi. But, either way, it's a multi octive jump that should hardly be possible.
To be fair, at TM and PC, she was singing in Mexico City which is at 7300+ feet elevation, so it’s no wonder she had to struggle with those notes the first time. But she definitely nailed them all a year later. Voice training and practice.
@@don-music that was kind of my point. In earlier shows, sick or healthy, those high notes took audible effort. By the time they played the Pepsi center, not even her being sick *and* singing at that elevation could stop her from nailing those notes *without* sounding strained.
