    Nice. I have been struggling as how to get rid of all the pads and cymbals as i only want the module to go with my Jobeky set. Now, i have a solution.

      @jamgamer have you liked using the strike module with your Jobeky kit? Have you had any compatibility issues?

    Nice video, I noticed that you have a 2box module too, so my question is really simple, Wich one did you preferred? cause both of them have almost the same price, and I'm struggling about which one I will go for

    Thanks for the info. I’m going to buy one for sure. Expect me to bug the crap out of you to get the killer snare sounds you have.

      Haha that's awesome man I think you will be very happy with it and of course ask any questions once you have it. Although regarding the snare sounds I mainly play imported Steven Slate Drums samples so if you get that VST ($150) and SDSE ($30) I can definitely help you! Worst case Steven Slate Drums has a free edition if you'd like to try it out. It's a fully functional version for free! Thanks fo watching! :)

    BIG NEWS!!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE HEADS-UP!!!
    Ok, so, you think it will work well with my Roland KV kit? I’ll order as soon as you give me the go-ahead! 😉

      As long as your kit doesn't include the digital snare,ride or VH-12, the Strike is fully compatible! :)

    Hello! Thank you so much for all the great info. You’ve really helped me find my way through the e-kit jungle. I just picked up the Strike Pro SE kit and it goes without saying that the hi hat setup BLOWS. What’s your recommendation other than buying a V11? Do you think a GoeDrum with the existing Alesis HH cymbal pad would feel right? Let me know what you think the best options are. Thanks and keep the great videos coming!!

    How long is the latency on the strike module? I've heard people claim it's a high as 10ms and it's really noticeable if you're use to playing Roland kits.

    • @o0m0j
      @o0m0j 4 роки тому +1

      Digital Drummer magazine measured it at 6.4ms. Since most Rolands are around 4ms it's a bit slower but I doubt it's noticeable. People triggering VST's would LOVE to have 6.4ms round trip!

      @@o0m0j THANK YOU!! I've been googling everywhere just trying to find a damn _number_ ... Everyone just says it has "more latency" than the Roland modules, which isn't particularly helpful. Sounds great, appreciate the info!

    I secpn the 2box comment
    1. Is the strike triggerring better than the 2box
    2 does the Strike *machine gun
    3. How avput the hihat on the 2box does it plays well ?

    Do you think it would be better to buy the module separate with Roland heads and put them on an acoustic set with atv cymbals? Or just get the entire strike pro se kit? It comes with everything and lots of cymbals? You’ll probably be paying close to the same price.... Really just wondering if Roland heads and atv cymbals are similar quality to the strike pads and cymbals?

    • @AtTheSourceStudios
      @AtTheSourceStudios  4 роки тому +1

      mmm that's a tough one. The new SE bass drum will be better than a conversion and pads will feel better than converted drums because of the Strike pad design of center mounted trigger without a hotspot but that being said, if you like the look of acoustic drums more, it will be worth it to just go conversion and ATV cymbals. The Strike cymbals are not even close to the ATV ones so you will gain big there. Mesh heads, the Alesis ones are great. I only changed my own because I wanted white tbh. Lmk what you decide!

    • @AtTheSourceStudios
      @AtTheSourceStudios  4 роки тому +1

      Unfortunately Roland's digital snare and ride are proprietary to Roland but no doubt selling just those two pads alone could fund the purchase of the Strike Module, an ATV 18" Ride and probably even a full size snare pad conversion or even a Strike 14" snare.
      Outside of those two pads yes everything else is compatible.

    I’m going to buy a New Strike Pro module this week (3-29-21) from Sweetwater. Are the modules the newer version with more kits. I’m a Roland user and kit owner (TD-27 VAD506). I’m guessing they have the latest and greatest modules. I want to use the strike module because I’ve seen your videos I love the snare sounds you have downloaded to the Strike module. I’m guessing since I’m playing a digital snare I’ll have to midi from the 27 to the strike to trigger the snare sounds?

    • @AtTheSourceStudios
      @AtTheSourceStudios  3 роки тому +1

      So first yes the new strike modules will be up to date but as for your digital snare scenario.. .. in theory your plan will work although I've never triggered the module via midi before so. Might be easier to just sell the digital snare and get a strike snare to hook up with the strike but I know that might sound a bit extreme lol but yes your plan should work.

      @@AtTheSourceStudios I might buy a Roland PD-128S for the snare. I was more worried about the Strile working with a Roland HH VH10 and the new CY16 thin Ride/Crash
