Thanks for your research and info on BC campgrounds which are open for the winter. Hope things are going well for both of you and Finch. Stay safe, take care & keep in touch.
We are fine, but thank you! We wanted to stay close to home for some family related health issues and Finch needed a few vet visits (he is fine) so we couldn’t really travel.
@@hikenrv I car camp in winter and I have used Gordon Bay, Cowichan River and Rathtrevor. I was excited to see Rolley Lake and Golden Ears open. You are right when you say some don't have many loops open
Victoria is a city (and capital of Province)on the southern tip of Vancouver Island (which is approx 500km/300 miles long). There are several provincial campgrounds that remain open during the winter on the island as we noted, but there are also several commercial campgrounds like Fort Victoria (near Victoria) or Living Forest (near Nanaimo). Snow is rare (near Victoria but more so Nanaimo) though temps can be below freezing at times.
@@hikenrv anywhere in bc works the company i work for runs campgrounds sometimes for the government and will be running the new campgrounds being built in Quesnel bc by the city im trying to get it to be open year-round but they want to close in oct for the first 2 years lol it be on front street
@@cliffordstokes595 got it. Lots of private ones do stay open all year and as you know, a few BC parks as well (not many full service, but a few with power).
Hugs to you both 🤗. Thanks for the video and your research.
Appreciate the comment!
Thank you for sharing this with me!! As always BS & BK & BC !!

We are fine, but sadly, haven’t been able to get out for a while. Just at the RV show today though! Hope all is well!
That was better information than what you can get from information station!! Thank you!
Hope it helps!
Thank you so much for this helpful video! In the before times, we used to go camping over Christmas in BC.
Thanks for watching! Christmas camping…something we have wanted to do!
Hope all is well with Gordon ( and yourself of course ) .
Best wishes.

Gordon just wants to stay close to me in case I need him to pull trash out of lakes. 😂
Nailed it!
Nice summary. Best wishes and looking forward to the next video.
🙏And you can likely expect some nice Mtn views!
This helped me book my site, thank you!
Glad it helped!
Super information......thanks Miki.
Hope it helps!
Thanks. Great info to share
Hope it was helpful! We do wish some parks stayed open a bit larger in the fall though, but perhaps not enough campers to warrant.

Thanks for this helpful update. Do you know if any of the camp sites at Porteau Cove have 30 amp power?
Yes, all the sites have 30 amp (and 15 we think). Nice in winter to have a small electric heater! Busy place though!
I mean year round on Victoria Island ? or Vancouver not sure if it's the same.
