I saw the Black lights tonight at the Italian Fest with Ricky Chisholm ,, OMG this man has past the test of time, still great looking and his voice got so great and clear and hit these crazy ass highs,,, , congratulations to the best soul band in Syracuse ever, sick mother F'kg bass and guitar. My God thank you for these guys, so blessed.
I listened to this album all the time in high school around the 90s, my friends mom used to date the keyboard player while they made this album and she had a copy, they never became popular as a band and the record was privately made to get shows. I still have this transferred from an original press. You would have to know the band to have this record. The name CRAC came from the initials of their last names combined, it was before the drug, in the 70s nobody called it that, and it explains the funny name
That's Matt Greeley's signature warble on lead vocal; Ricky Chisholm answers the call after the verses in "You've got to understand" & "I'm your master plan". Greeley had one hell of a set of chops. That said, I never really liked the album version of the fade ending. When Everything Man was performed live, the preach section became a jam that was much more subtle, never musically resolved to the root chord, and was allowed to grow dynamically into an often wild frenzy to a fermata ending.
