I saw this at Day of the Devs earlier this year and it looked insane. Instantly jumped to the top of my anticipated games list. I had no idea it was planned to be out so soon after! Very excited
Remember seeing the tech demos they posted for this a few years ago. Was super cool then, but the ways they built on the mechanic and style are insanely impressive. Can't wait to play it sometime soon.
haha the person playing in the review needs to play a little more fast and loose with their photo placement :D kidding. I can definitely attest to the comment about feeling stupid after realising a solution. Got so stumped at one point on an optional puzzle I took a break and walked for a coffee with the puzzle still on my mind. Thought of a couple things to try when I got home then booted up the game and the solution immediately came to me (which was not one of the ones Id thought of whilst out haha) Incredibly rewarding game, so many ingenious puzzles that make you feel really smart. Definitely would recommend.
Great review, but I felt that it made sense that most of the world you entered were bright and colorful, because if you were a scientist trying to overcome the ravages of climate change, having a virtual space where the world is bright and colorful the way you remember it used to be would make sense for being an optimal place to solve those problems.
Unfortunately the game is very much "baby's first puzzle game" and there are few optional levels that offer even 5 minutes worth of thinking. There is no run button so you have to slowly walk through every stage. The Witness and Talos Principle are the gold standard for puzzles games of this type still. Return of the Obra Dinn, Portal games, and The Curse of the Golden Idol are also incredible for other kinds of puzzle games.

I didn’t realize they gave you your own camera at some point. That just ramps it up. Super cool mechanics.
This shit is way too cool. Every time I see this gameplay I'm like "holy shit you can't do that"
I have loved games like this since I first played Echochrome. The demo was super engaging. Can't wait to dive in to this one.
the only channel (and voice) i watch reviews on in full.
This is absolute brilliance
so glad this is actually good, can't wait to play it
I'm really liking this Easy Update to full on review pipeline...

I remember when I saw a brief "tech demo" of this on Twitter a couple years back. Really cool that it actually became a full fledged game.
2023 has been an incredible year for gaming!
Serious Superliminal vibes in this game. I'll definitely be adding it to my Switch collection when it gets ported.
Yea this is a super cool mechanic, really impressive that it works as well as it does.
This game needs a VR mode! Looks very cool
this game looks so great. i may check it out
Fascinating.
This looks amazing!
Loved the demo, excited to pick this up!
Thanks for the review! Bloodworth, if you dont mind me asking, any gameplay downsides? Only narrative cons from what I've heard as of now.
Game of the year !!!!
so original !!!
Viewfinder sounds like more of an app than a videogame.
This looks amazingly chill and rather brilliant at the same time! Will check this out while waiting for some other games coming out later this year.
I just streamed this game yesterday! Do you guys actually think it's coming out this week??

I forgot The Outer Wilds which is also incredible. (but doing it's own things )
I already got stuck in the demo 🥺😆
I can only find the demo 🤔
It's out tomorrow (perhaps tonight). -Bloodworth
I hope the game wasnt delayed because of the dialog, because its easily the worst part.
Games like this make me annoyed I bought a Series X.
I think it will probably be on Xbox within a few months. Just a smaller team. -Bloodworth
How did you not bring up the absolutely awful dialogue?
