What could possibly be a better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than to do it with Mai Valentine's deck, Harpies! She's easily one of the MANLIEST female characters you'll ever find in the show. No chocolates are involved in the Valentine's Day gifts here. Instead, the ingredients are scratches, scars, and pecks to the eye! No need to worry about getting diabetes there! Instead, your opponent will have to worry about their field is obliterated by your Harpies... with feelings of LOVE! Such is the POWER OF LOVE!

This happens every time he posts a video. Nothing new.
I tried out Harpies myself again after this video and I gotta say I love your Barrier Statue idea.
It completely shuts down SO MANY decks, it's crazy that a thing with 1000ATK can wreck so hard.
I do think running Divine Wind of Mist Valley works great, though. It has synergy with both Harpie Dancer (fantastic synergy here) and Zephyros and, if you draw into it together with either, very often means you can put out just so many more Chidoris and/or Zerofynes. And if you draw it dead, discard it for Monk or Party.
Also, after playing for a while, I noticed that it's very easy to actually get a Master Key Beetle lock up in this, just Summoner Monk into Zephyros if you have a Safe Zone and tadah.
If nothing else it's god tier stall to draw into those combos.
I just noticed something... How has Nordics not been made MANly yet? Look at those MANly synchros!

After trying myself I can see the problem... it's really hard to make a good Nordic deck. Unless I combine it with another synchro archetype like Zombies or Psychics... which just makes it less consistant.

Also I've made a consistent Nordic deck which won against mermails, and prophecy last year. It's only good against all non-meta decks at the moment... so anything tier 2 or below it will destroy. And it's consistent too.
If there was one man who could do it would be him Im hoping he does nordics next

Mai also had Amazoness. Though that manly tribe of female warriors sadly doesn't have enough support...unless Yugioh4RealMen can prove me wrong.

I love how not even with Kaijus would the opponent be able to do anything, if that Kaiju doesn't match your statue's Atribute. Meaning, this combo is still Brutal

interesting ways to use swallow's nest. I never thought about safe zone before but it actually has a lot of synergy
I never thought about how good Safe Zone would have been in Harpies at this time. When you have to Hunting Ground your own back row, Safe Zone can become a removal spell. That plus Barrier Statue makes a ton of sense.

BTW ever think about playing Inferno Reckless Summon in harpies? I play it in my harpie deck IRL over hysteric party because it's faster and doesn't get MST'd. It's really dirty because the harpie cards names become "Harpie Lady" once they hit the graveyard so it's pretty much a quick play hysteric party.
The only downside is that you have to special summon a harpie to activate it, which honestly isn't hard and that your opponent may be able to summon monsters as well, but most likely any problem will be bounced by Chidori or beaten over with Zerofyne. Worst case scenario you special summon a harpie and don't have many/any harpies in the grave and you can only summon 2-3 Harpie Lady 1/Cyber Harpie Lady from the hand/deck/grave

As a dedicated Harpie player this looks pretty kickass (and no Magical Hats, even better!). I am amused by the removal of staples and the inclusion of techs like Mavelus and Swallow's Nest. I don't like Mavelus but I've never considered Safe Zone and Barrier Statue. Have to try that out.

I use more a winged beast deck (and a rabbit to summon the girls and summon phoenix)
Now with phoenix formation you can make a combo with Nightmare tokens or gift fiend tokens
We only need a tuner harpie to use with revival gift

If MANLY female characters are in demand, why no Talia? Build an Amazoness deck! Those buff, burly babes are more than MANLY enough to tackle the trials faced in the fierce Ring of Combat that is YGO, and with your MANLY hand coaching them, this team of warrior goddesses could be world-class!
I loved how coincidentally my fav gal from *ZeXal* joined forces with my fav gal from *the original* using *Ice Beast Zerofyne* in this *Arpies* deck though XD

There is, Barrier Statue of the Abyss. And it's a fiend type as well. I should add that there is a statue for each attribute.

whatever happened to playing mais harpie deck rather than the scrub decks that i swat away with ease? i liked mais deck it was simple and actually good. harpies have gone downhill rather than been boosted, that exclusive phoenix formation card is cool looking though.
