@beenole My organ sounds pretty close to the original not mic'd up and could probably sound closer if I recorded it separately and Eq'd it more. They always sound best with all the stops pulled out I find although I have the 'treble couplet' off which plays the octave. I bought mine off eBay a while back and was lucky to get one in good condition that was in tune. Thanks for listening, I'm going to put up a new version soon as I've learnt how to play it a bit better. Good luck with your organ
@beenole I experimented a bit with mic positions but couldn't really find a 'sweet spot' so just ended up sticking one on the harmonium just so I can get a bit more width by panning it and the vocal mic turned up to get lots of the organ. This was done with two Rode NT1A's going through a Profire 2626 which works well for me.
@MyBottletree Wow! Although I think you are talking about the look rather than the sound I'll take any comparison to my two favourite vocalists. Thank you!
They are quite common I find. Hard to get one in really good, playable condition. I have 2 and they both cost me £20 each. You should definitely keep an eye out for a cheap one. They are so cool to play.
Nice cover. :-) To be honest, this is the best cover, I've heard on UA-cam. It's pretty close to the original song. Pity, that this isn't only an instrumental cover (your singing is not bad at all, but I personnally would prefer an instrumental version, because it's better without vocals in my opinion - IN GENERAL) But still, this cover deserves a "like" and "add to favourites". :-)
You're right, but all the transcriptions I've seen have a C9 or Csus2 chord (C2+C3+D3), and that's what I think he's playing. It just depends if you're going off the original or a particular arrangement.
@@ak40kevn I don't know what you mean by the right hand part being weird, it sounds fine to me. I can play it on piano and chapel organ, so maybe it's just that I don't know the sound well enough to know what you're referring to.
Douglas Haig I’ll send you what my brother showed me. He said thom yorke does some weird trick. I’ll send you a video if you give me your Instagram link.
I'm jealous that you can make that sound yourself... that song captures me so deeply, I'd love to be able to play it and make it mine.
The Best cover of Motion Picture Soundtrack in UA-cam. Congratulations!
perfect my friend, just perfect!
Excellent cover mate
My favorite Radiohead song sing by my favorite cover.....
Joe Cocker covering Thom Yorke
Now I've seen it all!
Superb. Great Job

I've had a go on a harmonium a couple times, I find it really tough. This sounds great.
beautiful end.

10/10
I actually saw one of these at an amish flea market, can't buy the sucker because it's over 500. You're lucky to have one in possession!
@SlipMeATwenty Thanks! =D
I think you're too good!!

good job man
@Patohead001 Thank you!

@dnm5555
To be honest, I mean both. Your look a little bit, your voice a little bit, but more your singing technique.
No problem mate.

The instrumental is kinda boring after a while.
what is that organ called? I'm looking into buying one. Really enjoyed this btw!
Harmonium.
Very good stuff. Singing is very good too, a lot of potential, but you need to stabilize your voice a little more :)
this is good and that thing and your voice r good but that second chord just isn't right.

Douglas Haig i mean the bass notes are g, c and b. Chorus em c g d. The right hand parts are weird. My brother can play it perfect.

ak40kevn sorry I didn’t reply sooner. I don’t have Instagram. Can you just put it on UA-cam and link it in a reply or something?
