I love the strange dynamic between Todd and Marty. I loved this storyline because it shows how far Todd would go to make amends to Marty for hurting her. RH and SH are just amazing in their scenes with one another. I wish that Susan Haskell was coming onto the new Prospect Park's OLTL so that we could continue the Todd/Marty storyline.
Oh they were SOOOO gonna go there with Todd and Marty back in the day. I remember it well and watching old clips again makes it even more obvious. The story was moving that way for sure and I think both Susan and Roger were grossed out by it..probably the only reason the writers didnt go ahead with it.
Nah, Susan made it clear in the beginning that she would never want to play Marty if they were ever going to put her with one of her character's "attackers". She said that she would quit the part and they would have to find someone else if that were to happen. The writers could get them close, but they never were actually going to let that happen.
@@Njae2000 Roger Howarth apparently wasn't interested in that either. Him leaving the show, which happens extremely soon after this scene, was in part because he thought they were considering a Todd/Marty romance story.
As much as I like the strange dynamic between Todd and Marty, her giving him a cross was waaaaay too much.I keep picturing Todd thinking"Is she drunk?Did she just give ME a cross?"lol
Todd really felt guilty about Marty after Powell tried to kill him by reinacting the rape. Powell kidnapped Todd and made him relive the rape as Marty. After that Todd apologize to Marty for real and they started to be friends. I miss them as friends. They were not hanging out but they were at least civil to each other.
Their friendship was creepy but if someone was tuning in without knowing their history, it would definitely seem like they were best buds. Now, Cole's incident with Star and then Todd trying to kill Cole probably put a damper on their current relationship.
That would have been disgusting so I hope not but Todd did say that even if he wanted to hook up with Marty he couldn't because she was in Ireland. I found that line of reasoning rather disturbing considering their history.
yeah really folks, how did they get to be friends. i actually watched this back then and its just such a vague memory cause mostly i can just recall them hating each other.
Todd/ marty do make a great couples I'd like to see their granddaughter later on future tv series if they bring show back if they bring hope back to life just like they did with marty/ Patrick?
thanks...I had forgotten that Blair had miscarried before getting pregnant with Starr....she had so many schemes going on years ago I get things mixed up
No way! Unless....she had amnesia and they were stranded on an island together which are actually very feasible "soap" storylines. Hmmm now that I think about it, that would have been interesting. I think RH and SH could have given us some great drama with that.
I do because Todd was so horrible to her (before the rape, during the gang rape, and for a while afterwards). I think it would have been okay if they agreed to tolerate each other with little contact but they kept "looking out for each other." I can see Todd needing to do this out of immense guilt. But why Marty? Who buys their rapist a beautiful sovenier! LOL.
This makes no sense . Marty could have cut her aunt from her trust without going anywhere. Also Todd could have sent his plane without him and stayed home. Can you say contrived?
I didn't like what Marty became in the storylines well after her rape. Patrick and her together made me cringe, and I can still hear the annoyances every time Patrick Thornheart would mention the "men of 21". AGGH!! The Ireland story SUCKED!
Go Todd/Marty.... love these too actor's, the chemistry on screen was powerful
Same

Yes, If the rape never happened they could have been a supercouple...The chemistry between SH and RH was definately there

The writers had to be all kinds of sick to imagine a possible romance b/w these two. Gross.
Amrita Sengupta remember Luke and Laura
+Caroline Berthiaume That was bizarre too. I keep coming back to watch the amazing RoHo but Todd still makes me mad.

Luke and Laura on GH. Roger and Holly on GL.

holdup there were friends. i thougt she hated him for raping her.....
WTF.NO.
was Blair really pregnant (with Starr) at this time?? or was this when she was faking pregnancy?
