What a crazy youtube recommendation. What your doing looks cool, but I would be terrified. Definitely gonna follow along now that I have come across it.
Yeah fumes (co2 and no) you can push outside with a valve.. the real issue or rather impossibility is air to feed an combustion engine undewater.. you could create a snorkel to suck air from surface, Or do what the swed's are doing with their submarines store liquid oxygen at -200 kelvin (can't remember the liquid oxygen temp form top of my head) but those are the only 2 options really. And I know it was answered but I just wanted to add xD sorry not sorry. Great video.. hmm it's gonna get hot underwater I feel like.. honestly I don't know how heat exchange goes underwater, I mean I know but really practically I don't know.
Looking cozy in there. Hey, could your submarine be ised in winter? Say if there was a duck bubbler keeping away ice or if ice was cut. Or it it only meant for warm weather? Love to see your progress.
Would be nice to actually see these parts up close, camera in hand. We don't need to see you in the video, just the parts and work done. Ditch the tripod.
Listen.., don't try to go to the titanic no matter how many billionaires tempt you...
Sound advice
DIY submarine is such a high stakes game. even if you aren't at depth, drowning is not off the table
You mean like high marking on snowmobiles? Or sky diving? I guess I could sit on the couch and watch sports, ;-)

Thanks, it is different, thats for sure.
Maybe you covered this on another video, but how are you planning to deal with the fumes / oxigen required for the diesel engine?
The engine only runs at the surface so the smells etc get sucked into the engine at 54 CFM. The sub runs with the hatch open at the surface.

You are pretty good with you time management and getting tasks done .
Thanks
The irony of UA-cam showing me an advert for ITVX at the end of this video..........

The sub cooling system will work in the winter, but I would not mess around with ice. The big lakes here dont freeze, so not an issue.
Could add some gear reduction or ratcheting mechanism to a manual rudder system. Just a thought.
Yes, I may do that.
Looking good!
Thanks, it is coming along.
Dude, Haven't you ever heard of Ocean Gate ?
Yes they are the ones that built a submarine with experimental material. I follow the standard building rules.
Good work ,keep until you made it
Thanks!

Got it
