The UK passion for cars, bikes and motorsport keeps me thinking about what it might be like to live there. I mean, hell, a country that features lawn mower racing has got to be absolutely brilliant. Sky Sport F1, Fifth Gear and Top Gear: The Triumvirate of Speed.
Ford owned Aston and didn't turn a profit, Ford owned jag and never turned a profit as soon as Ford leaves everything is fine. We have found out that Ford ruina cars.
The only Porsches I like have been the ones that don't look like Porsches! Much prefer one of these F-Types, although like Jonny I'd probably look as if I'd stolen the car!!! &B^{P>
Lovely car, but sadly the only thing I don't like are the Chavvy twin central exhausts, yes I know they're mimicking the E-Type originals, but I prefer the V8's setup !!!
I don't know but I get the feeling this car is somehow misplaced. Not sure it should be compared to a porche, it seems to lean more towards the luxury tourer end of the market, it just happens to have some pretty good sporting capabilities. The question I wanted to know while watching is are the seats comfortable enough for a nice long trip?
i think the new f type is the revival of the jaguar like it was meant to be. Tata motors owns jaguar and they have really let jaguar follow its british heritage unlike ford who owned it till 2008. The only jags i've ever liked are the e type, xj220 , and the f type. Tata motors is a indian company .hq is in bombay india well now its called mumbai india
i'm not sure why some see this e-type as some legendary piece,, it's looks like tinpot toy part next to the F-types incredible modern styling , and timeless features like the aggressive flat grille people can be really deluded
I disagree about the Porsche comparison. It isn't trying to do the same as the 911 so I think that's s touch silly. Also the closing comment about it not grabbing world headlines is ridiculous also, seeing as we are in a flooded market today, compared to back then. This wasn't a review about the car, it was a review about how it compares to Porsche. And they're totally different. You said it yourself. Also, they sound NOTHING alike. literally there is no resemblance.
In the real world, where we don't get to drive on public roads like monkeys, the V6 version makes a lot of sense, especially the rare manual transmission cars, which I am in process of buying. An S coupe, 380HP on 20s and with all the options.
@@uwusgrufus Fast forward five years. Porsche going strong while Jaguar is struggling ... their line-up consists of a sports car, a sedan/saloon and three SUVs, and plan on turning full electric by 2025. I own a 2014 XF that I really like though ☺.
He drives like Stevie Wonder. Those lines in the middle of the road are there for a reason so if you can't stay on your side of them, get someone who can.
Lee-harry C Is that was passes for an intelligent comment in your world? The video was filmed on a road and on a track to show contrast. It's a road car, on a road. If he wanted to show how it drives on a road he should drive like he's on a road - then go to the track to tell us how it handles on a track. Like I said, if he can't drive a car on a road without crossing the centre line then he shouldn't be driving at all.

The glorious sound this car makes is why electric cars can kiss my ass.
Exactly
Even though electric cars have amazing accelaration, i love the sound of roaring engines
I would prefer quiet cars on a general basis, would make for a more relaxed drive, though yes every so often the cars noise is enjoyable.
And when the electric car is done kissing your ass, it can wash its mouth out and kiss mine too!!
Johnny has really evolved as a show host and as a car guy. Good review.
The only car ever built that's most critical design element is the rear light cluster !!! ... stunningly beautiful car .
Tata has really improved the state of JLR!

Ford never turned a profit with Aston nor Jaguar
sounds like a porsche? no, it sounds way better!
Definitely 😂😂
The F-Type and the Aston Martin Vanquish is in my opinion one of the most beautiful cars in the world!
But the Jag is the one you can afford like always space grace pace an value for money
Dragos Pahontu yea, but jaguar is like baby aston martin in my eyes. 5 years later and the vanquish is still one of my topp dream cars.
@@MultiTerpen ikr it's amazing
@@dragospahontu you never know what people can afford. He could well already own them both!

These cars are AMAZING I was in one the other day! :)
Great review of a great car!

The F-type on the circuit is different then the the F-type on the road
junto con top gear son para mi gusto los dos mejores-de hecho estar tantas decadas en tv no es facil-

Have you drove one? NO. So why are you commenting on anything about jaguar
Vs porsche.
Never and I will drive my people mover

If you are going to be rude you might as well get your English correct. not Drove one, Driven one!

The late Enzo Ferrari even said that the E-Type is "the most beautiful car in the world". Enzo even said that he wish it should be the car he built.
It's a jaaaaag! Way better than a Porsche
They are testing with a manual on the nordschleife nurburg ring :D
We no and four wheel drive version
oeh.. i dod not know that, but OK, pritty cool

*Looks at old E type*
*Kisses 2014*
But 2016 Jaguar F-Type has the new six-speed ZF manual.

Boxster/Cayman GTS
why is Jonny Tests The Jaguar F-TYPE, Fifth Gear ?
Cause he can do a little power slide now... >.

The fact that your putting it up there with Porsche shows how great that car is
i think johnny cant drive this good hahahaha
amazing
it farts.....
nice fart tho
Normally, I'd prefer V8 over V6. But in this case, I'd take the V6. It sounds much better than the V8.
Those farts sound amazing!
It's not as beautiful as the e-type, but then what is really
Kami84 this is a lot nicer looking than the e-type
over 50k...
damn
But only V6.
theres a v8 model
leave to Fifth Gear to only get their hands on a 6 cylinder model. Weak sauce. You know we want to hear the 8 cylinder.
The only car above the F-type, is God's car: the FERRARI 458 Italia. That's how good the Jag is.
I prefer my xk since when I have both my bitches with me the beagle can go in the backseat.
Raced one of these in my Porsche...honestly it wasnt even close to catching me. But it is a very beautiful car.
Nowadays Porsche is a swallowed old brand... but Jaguar just starts his career!
Robert Yeah its an old brand yet its always been one of the best. And I guarantee it will always be one of the best.
Kingly Fiber it’s a v6 race the svr that’s more fair

Doesn't even compare to a Porsche XD
Nice car. ^^
Not a Porsche killer.
Erm yes. I'd rather have this over any porsche.
Performance-wise, yes I agree. However, this is far one of the best looking car out there and I can see why people love everything about it.
Sure it looks and sounds awesome, but the Porsche is in fact quicker around the track.
Bullshit! Is it not correct there was 3 cars for this review and they all broke down!
The 6 is fine for girls. The viscious 520 ft-lb V8 rips the 340 ft-lb 911 GT3 a new asshole.
Fine for girls? Clarkson actually prefers the V6 version.
@@FAT8893 Yes, that is correct. Even he said the V6 sounds way better than the V8.
V6 vs cayman S, I'll take the Cayman S. It's gotta be the V8 R to sway me. Typical British biased towards the Jag haha
