Watching JC from day one and moving up so fast it looks this kid will be something exciting to see this 2024 season
Great stuff, Lindsay!
I've been waiting since the beginning for this one.
What are your thoughts on pitchers, Cole Wilcox and Colby White?
So I just found out that if you’re not a top prospect and you’re in the Astros system, just get traded and then suddenly you’re a top prospect.
Ryan Clifford magically transformed into a top prospect the second he was traded to the Mets. Very interesting.
Why does it feel like every team except the Astros always has some badass prospects, yet they rarely ever bring up any players even half as good as the Astros?
Do baseball writers just not know what they’re talking about (not unlikely)?
For a bottom rated farm, the Astros must be remarkably lucky to bring up Luis Garcia, Framber Valdez, Yordan Alvarez, Cristian Javier, Chas McCormick, etc?
How can you bring those guys up and consistently be ranked as the _very_ worst?
I think part of it is the Astros farm system used to be ranked higher when all those guys were in the minors.
The argument could also be made that they've had great success at finding undervalued prospects, with particular significance to international free agents, and developing them into viable major league players
