They filed charges on an off duty LA county Deputy for murder, reckless driving and a few other charges for crashing and killing a 12 year old in SouthGate. The verbiage used to justify this disregard for the law was that “law enforcement needs to be held accountable because they directly impact communities they are suppose to serve.” Well, I agree. Complain and demand changes from your elected representatives. The judges have to follow sentencing rules/guidelines set by law by your elected representatives and senators in the State Legislatures. If the San Bernardino Court system would have done their job and put him in jail where he belonged our brother would still be with us. The suspect also would not have put his family through this. A few things, First, love the transparency and love calling you our Sheriff of Riverside County. Second, I know a lot of agencies were involved, but way way too many officers involved in this chase for a single suspect/vehicle. Could be more of a hazard than help, this idiot could have shot at random at all those patrol vehicles and hit someone by sheer luck. No bueno. Third, I have no issues with this piece of trash being taken out. But the amount of officers who fired, is also no bueno too much paperwork and again, doubt it helped bring this sob down.
I know what you mean. But I think you have to also understand that there’s no protocol to say how many cruisers or bearcats should be allowed per car chase and per jurisdiction once a chase progresses into such fluid state as this one. I doubt anyone will have the final say that certain cruisers are supposed to stop and which officers are allowed to proceed when it’s this chaotic and their SOLE purpose was to eliminate this dangerous pest to their communities. And if I’m not mistaken, this was a chase that spanned several communities (not sure of counties) where many innocent lives on the road were in danger from beginning to end of this long chase. Who’s to say only certain few could be allowed to stay and hunt him down and not others? I don’t think anyone will let themselves be sued from hell and back if they did and something happened to the innocent individuals. 😮

I don't understand why they need like 50 cars for one guy. Law has to start really getting a bit more aggressive and smarter with tactics. Half these guys are just wasting gas honestly and time that could be used on other on going crimes. Glad none of our brave officers were hurt. In addition, it is imperative that all operators wear their vest in a secured and ready state. So many things can happen. Ricochet and trajection is all it takes. This one ended well.
For every officer that fired his weapon, a whole bunch of paperwork needs to be done and investigations need to be had. Not all of those deputies and officers needed to run up and fire their weapons. Such a waste of time and money. I’d bet at least 20 guys were shooting at the one man.

If the San Bernardino Court system would have done their job and put him in jail where he belonged our brother would still be with us. The suspect also would not have put his family through this. Many life decisions led to this point and bad ones at that on the suspect's and San Bernardino Court side. RCSD and other agencies involved just did what they needed to do.
Thats why Riverside County Sheriff made sure Justice was served right on the i15 that night!!

A few things,
First, love the transparency and love calling you our Sheriff of Riverside County.
Second, I know a lot of agencies were involved, but way way too many officers involved in this chase for a single suspect/vehicle. Could be more of a hazard than help, this idiot could have shot at random at all those patrol vehicles and hit someone by sheer luck. No bueno.
Third, I have no issues with this piece of trash being taken out. But the amount of officers who fired, is also no bueno too much paperwork and again, doubt it helped bring this sob down.

But I think you have to also understand that there’s no protocol to say how many cruisers or bearcats should be allowed per car chase and per jurisdiction once a chase progresses into such fluid state as this one.
I doubt anyone will have the final say that certain cruisers are supposed to stop and which officers are allowed to proceed when it’s this chaotic and their SOLE purpose was to eliminate this dangerous pest to their communities. And if I’m not mistaken, this was a chase that spanned several communities (not sure of counties) where many innocent lives on the road were in danger from beginning to end of this long chase.
Who’s to say only certain few could be allowed to stay and hunt him down and not others? I don’t think anyone will let themselves be sued from hell and back if they did and something happened to the innocent individuals. 😮

I don't understand why they need like 50 cars for one guy. Law has to start really getting a bit more aggressive and smarter with tactics. Half these guys are just wasting gas honestly and time that could be used on other on going crimes.
