I remember the old Partick train station. I remember waving to my gran who lived on Peel Street. The staird up to the station on Dumbarton Road, just up from Woolworths. and the exit on the other side that went down towards Crow Road. I remember the Tivoli cinema on Crow Road. When my grandad was alive he was a conductor on the trams out of the Merkland Street garage, he died before I was born. But so many places are either gone or changed beyond recognition. Little left of the place I called home. There are a few places left though, but I fear it would make me too sad to go back for a visit.

My great grandmother stayed in the tenements on Crow Rd, overlooking the railway. That would be the 60’s and early 70’s…
