So a few years back I passed over the Studio for the Aion when I was looking for a slight step up in my collection - back then, I was concerned with the slight step between the grip and the barrel, as well as the slickness of the barrel. Recently, I got my first Studio, and boy, was I wrong in dismissing the model for so long. It has just a little more heft than the Safari and Al-Star, yet not quite as much as the Aion, which honestly feels a little on the heavy side sometimes. The grip and step are no concern in use at all, and I love its matte colors.
Lamy Studio Imperial was my first FP. I love it and love that I was able to buy relatively cheap steal nibs in different sizes and styles to figure out what I actually liked. I eventually ended up buying a M gold Nib and have it as my everyday writer.
My suggestion: swap the nib for a Z 53 as used on the Aion or Ideos. That gives it in my opinion a much more refined look, since these nibs have a more rounded shape than the standard ones. This combination was one of my daily writers for quite some time.

I've definitely considered this one and the brown se really has me looking hard again
Please review the 14k lamy gold nibs
The big Pelican and giant Lamy pens next to you made my brain processed for sometimes.
sooo....is the grip slippery? I kind of shy away from metal grips unless they are matte finishes
Please do a Lamy CP1 review.
Tom Oddo, you’re such a superstar.
If the nib is same why to go for such a costlier studio rather than a cheaper safari ??
Good video

It's a quality pen but I just don't find Bauhaus designs particularly appealing.
Very nice pen, but hideous clip!
What! That’s the nicest part
