Today we're back in Scrap Mechanic with HIDE and SEEK except this time everyone is cheating! Instead of giving hints with audio we're now allowing the seeker to cheat to give themselves a hint!

I dont think allowing 360 first hint isn't a good idea necessarily. Maybe after like the 2nd one. Quicker rounds aren't the most interesting

With this change of rules, it might be a good time to revisit some of the big maps with replay value, especially with the agreed-on rules change allowing the seeker to turn with the HUD on.

I still say if you allow roaming, then everyone HAS to have the same FOV otherwise it's just an unfair advantage.

At this point, I think you might just give hints every minute when it comes to the hiders being allowed to move and all.
Also, maybe stop selling out your fellow hider every time after you got caught, that makes it only easier for them to get a better time than you ^ ^

the key to win is to stand in a relatively higher position ...that way you can triangulate the hiders position

kAN had the right idea for the first spot. This new variation makes it important to have a hiding spot that allows you to see the map. You want to know which direction the seeker is looking when he turns his HUD on so you know if he saw you.

you have to do a gamemode of hide and seek where the hiders are both no hud and the seeker gets this new cheat gamemode every 2 minutes it would be like a jumpscare

Rule: As the hider you may move once with the HUD on but as soon as you're in a new spot you have to turn it off for the rest of the game.
The hider then has to notify the seeker that he has moved to a new spot.
This is to prevent constant moving and hiding which gives the hider an unfair advantage.

you guys need to do the seeker turns on the hud at the 2 minutes and the hiders turn them off for a minute so it makes it anxiety hell if your running around.

I think they should ramp up the HUD hints, rather than just allow full 360s from the start. And add spud gun as well after awhile. Like maybe 4:00, just like this. Turn HUD on, but you can't move. 6:00 No rotating again when HUD is on, but this time, hiders shoot their spud guns after. So if you didn't see them, at least you get some hint. 8:00 Same as last, except the hider shoot their spud guns BEFORE you turn the HUD on, so you should have an idea which direction to look. 10:00 You can rotate 90 degrees with the HUD on. Verbal hint. 12:00 You can do a full 180 with HUD on, meaning you should be able to see the whole map. After that, full rotation allowed, and audio and verbal hints.

Instead of camera rotation, you should mix this with audio hints. Every other hint as an audio, every other as a visual (no turning)

Do the same thing but if you don’t see someone in your first cheat/look, you get another cheat/look. That way there’s still a chance to not see someone, which was entertaining to me.

This looks similar to Moonbos' Wild West map. I would do this style again, but at some set time, the hiders can no longer move and the seeker can't HUD on, so back to regular HnS mode?

Hey, why not use a free cam mod so you can watch when hiding what the seeker is doing more precisely?
You know his location anyway and it will make for funnier videos imo.
