Really loved this study of early printed books, I have learned a lot from this presentation. Fantastic that a Venetian printer's account book has been preserved and studied, loved that part. Amazing they could print so many books in such a short time.

This was absolutely fascinating! Really great job on the video. It is really strange why it doesn't make more views. People should learn about this stuff!

Since people are rare to be found taking interest in history until one realise the importance of it, knowing the world we're living in, exactly where it was born into.

A video that is a good lesson in History of the Book too. Compliments to Cristina Dondi and all the bibliographic staff!

Never thought, our humble shared office door to 41 Wellington Square would make it into a video!

I like what Henry Woudhuysen said about form influencing content and would love to hear more about that. Anyone..?

Good question, I wonder too. I suppose he is referring to how form, i.e. printing technique, book trade, and so forth, affected content, i.e. the subject matter of books, the intellectual climate of the time.

It can't be a coincidence that the music was regularly drowned out by someone saying something. Too bad, you should pay more attention next time.

The movable type metal printing press was invented in Korea in 1234 by Chwe Yoon Eyee during the Goryeo Dynasty -216 years ahead of Gutenberg in 1450. The book of Jickji Heart proves it.
