Great performance in this match, he had a few of them in that year's UEFA Cup and this was probably the best. I hadn't really noticed before, but Moller delivered a number of very good passes to Baggio over the two legs.
I've watched all careers of Platini, Maradona, Del Piero, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Messi ....... none of them has ever made a performance in a international final remotely comparabile to Baggio's one in this 1993 Uefa Cup final and that after his magic and goals vs PSG in semifinals, while doing great things in the league too The year after, the World Cup Usa 94, and then he was robbed of the 2nd consecutive Golden ball Probably the most skillful player ever
@@ΒασίληςΑγγελόπουλος-ξ3δ The other may be a step below 2011 but they're still leagues better than this particular Baggio game. No disrespect but you can't compare Messi to Baggio.
He was not better than Baggio; not more talented, not more prolific a goal scorer. At international level, Del Piero was sometimes quite good, but too often disappointing. Baggio, oin the other hand, excelled at international level. I liked Del Piero and he was very good and often exciting to watch, but he was not as special as Roberto. You could rely on Baggio at international level to be at the least technically impressive, and the team was always more likely to create chances with him on the field.
@@danyoutube7491 He was not better, was MORE BETTER! Baggio nelle grandi sfide spariva! Juve (nelli ultimi anni), Milan, Inter...PANCHINARIO.
@@carmen-mihaelapopescu7570 There is no "more better", that doesn't make sense. It would be like me saying, in Italian, "più meglio"; more/più is redundant here. Anyway, those facts you reeled off about Del Piero scoring more- he not only more commonly played as a centre forward than Baggio (who very often dropped deep into midfield), but he played fewer games than Del Piero. Baggio actually had the better goal ratio! And Del Piero did not win the Champions League alone, nobody wins a trophy alone- if you mean he had a good tournament in 96 then yes, he scored a lot of goals. As for the rest of what you said...I have to assume that you are about a decade younger than me and got into football in the early 2000s, and probably think Zidane is the best player ever and that Maldini is the best Italian defender ever? I watched Baggio and Del Piero from 92/93 onwards, and it is clear Del Piero was not as special as Baggio was, even before one examines their international performances.

Yeah, they seemed to share a good rapport between themselves.
Möller was underestimated.

So you're saying he deserved the ballon d'or during his 93/94 season
Maybe you're being nostalgic but Messi's finals performances in UCL 2009, 2011, 2015 and World Cup 2014 were much better and a league of it's own.

Del Piero better than Baggio!
You are right: that's also my thinking. But when a player dresses Juventus shirt, he takes a piece of my heart forever.
