I disagree he was incomprehensible. He had a miraculous vocabulary and used it eloquently; it simply didn't hit with a lot of us because we were kids and we just wanted to watch people wrestle
I love how it goes from the heel (Ric Flair) Standing faceing the camera, relaxed, smiling, to the babyface (Ultimate Warrior) with his back turned to the audience, arms raised and shouting to the heavens lol. It's a really good opposing balance in the story.
even now at 41 years old and a regular gym rat .. warrior build is still inspiring . when you really think about it , instead of being a stand on stage bodybuilder he progressed as a bodybuilder on Tv screens over the years , not winning trophys but inspiring kids and even adults . great aesthetics and size , condition varied but he looked best when not super-lean but still lean enough with great firm proportions . a legend to this day
He was only about 220lbs when he died at the age of 54.. but right up to his death he was shredded... The guy was in great shape.... Saying that though I do believe steroids shortened his life span a little.. but again, all the Hellwig men died early in life
I spotted watching when Hogan left at 8. It was getting boring even before that. I tuned back in to see warrior & savage at the top but... Something was missing chemistry wise
Yeah, if Warrior stuck around he could have been champion perhaps; I think he'd be a bigger draw than Bret was. And if Flair held the title longer in 1992 maybe he wouldn't have gone back to WCW.
Well, in the subtitles it says at one point "The Ultimate Maniacs, urine race, run mode! That's a primer series." Urine mode makes about as much sense as 90% of the spaceship and spirits of the dead Warriors stuff he usually talks about. 😂

@@brianticas2068 That would have been genuinely fantastic. If Savage could make two great matches out of Warrior, imagine what Bret would have accomplished.
Does anyone remember why Warrior stopped using the Guerrilla Press? The last one's I remember him doing were against Randy Savage at Wrestlemania in '91 and against Triple H in '96.
I think most ppl in the wwf/wwe hated the warrior because of his image and electricity he brought with him. He had the fans and the character. He looked like a million bucks. He was hyper. Everybody was attracted to him. I think the locker room was jealous of him. He sold tickets. He filled arenas. I think vince was being a bit cheap. Warrior knew what he brought to the company. Vince didnt wanna afford it. Till this day I think something fishy went on regarding his death. He spoke at the hall of Fame on how he offered a check to do this and that and he denied it. Vince wanted the warrior character in his collection. After making peace and a deal was made i believe vince was afraid of losing that benefit again so he had warrior killed. Who dies a day right after coming back? He exposed a lot of things. They couldn't handle him talking. He was smart enough to gain the rights to his own character. Vince hated that. He wanted that character under his own possession. After warrior agreed to be in wwe 2k15 and so on i believe vince feared losing that character again. So once he had him i believe he plotted in his death or somebody backstage did
Steroids and cocaine killed him like all the rest. Jim couldn't wrestle and that's why they didnt care for him. Never bothered to learn. Only because he was a roid monkey he was there. Vince created the hype.
Actually Warrior and Davey Boy Smith were let go from WWF for steroid use. This was around the time when steroid use became a big no-no, and wrestlers( and other athletes) suddenly started getting smaller.
Warrior was always in great shape but sucks he was off the roids here or on low low dose to pass drug tests i like when he was huge im a big fan either way
Flair didn't have that sort of pull with Vince. Ever. Considering how many times Vince tried to get this guy back to the company, if Vince had any choice in not firing the Warrior, he would have taken it.
This guy couldn't touch Ric flair as a performer or talker!!! Half the time his interviews made no sense, and he was awful in the ring. I still hate the tragic way he passed away though! RIP ultimate warrior.
