I love everything Dana! That stone vase with the brass/gold handles….wow I would have grabbed that! I never feel sick of or bored with stone/travertine/wood/marble. I know some people like a lot of antiques. I do have a couple of nice antiques …a very large dough bowl, two very unique Confit pots. All three items were definitely pricy. But too many antiques make a home look “old” to me. I’ve seen some homes that look like I’ve stepped back 40 years ago. I think a nice blend but maybe a little more of a touch of modern at least for me. I like an “old world” feel but not necessarily everything old. I don’t see how any house can look like a Home Goods store as I can’t find any of those pieces you just showed in your video. Most stores only get a couple of the same item unlike Hobby Lobby which has the same items in every store. Oh and I loved that glass tier tray too….sooo unique!

I love a home with a mix of new decor and vintage or thrifted decor. Makes for great conversation starters with your guests. And it gives your home a unique look. A home filled with only new decor becomes too cookie cutter and everyone’s homes look alike especially if you shop Hobby Lobby. HomeGoods and Marshall’s tends to have only one or two of the same items. So I really appreciate your take on mixing them.

I love shopping at Homesense( our equivalent to Homegoods). When I head over into the U.S, I always make a stop to shop at Homegoods. The variety they have is just so amazing. Sometimes too much variety that I want to fill up my cart.😅
The items you picked up were lovely and forsure will be so versatile for every season. For the rectangular dish, I don't think it goes in the oven. Normally it would be written underneath. It is so nice though and your idea of using it for rolls or other items sounds great!! Thanks for the shopping tour!!😊

I love that gray dish. It’s beautiful. I, personally, wouldn’t chance it in a hot oven, but it is a gorgeous piece. I was hoping you would pick it up & the travertine vase & bowl. Nice finds!

Dana I threw pottery for a few years, more than likely the oblong dish is oven proof. Bisc ( unfired clay ) is fired in a kiln, then glazed and fired again at a higher temp. , which would make it ovenproof. I wouldn't use it in a microwave because there could metals in the glaze.

You definitely can, I have a couple of the clay from Portugal, it’s the best, being made from clay it cooks evenly and doesn’t burn the food
Never put it in a very hot oven, put it in while your preheating your oven

I have bought the handcrafted dish and it will craze and eventually crack if you use it in the oven. I would only use it as a serving dish.
I have had mine for years and never had one crack, one thing that you can’t do is put it in a very hot oven, put it in as you preheat the oven

I do not know about the baking dish from Portugal, however, if it was in the baking section, perhaps it is oven proof. I share your reluctance to actually bake in in it just in case though. Great finds!!! My home goods is so messy anymore. 😊 I look for dog balls by chomp. It’s hard very hard to find them anymore. I look for decor, rugs and marble cutting boards🪴🌷🪴

No HomeGoods where I live I have a Walmart and Hobby Lobby
Can you go online and check the maker of the pottery casserole dish and see if there is any information. The sticker on the side says Portugal but can't see the writing under, is there something on the bottom of the dish that says maker?
It is the strangest thing. Besides made in Portugal sticker (the writing underneath is another language that just means hand-fabricated) there is nothing else. Underneath is just stamped made in Portugal.
