I cringe every time I see the officiating crew that worked the game on Saturday no matter what game they are officiating. They aren't good and they don't make good calls. I fully agree with all you’ve said in your analysis. I’ll add that Dylan Raiola’s willingness to use his legs was a little wrinkle the Buckeyes defense weren’t prepared for, and it could go a long way for the Huskers’ chances to win games if they continue doing this for the remainder of the season! The Buckeyes made 2 ankle tackles that saved likely Husker TDs, but if Raiola connects with at least 1 of the 2 wide open receivers he missed, they upset the Buckeyes. ☠️☠️☠️
I imagine these are the same people that still think Trump is president and the 2020 election was rigged... like sure, the enforcement of rules may have been poorly executed, but at the end of the day, you have to look in the mirror and answer the question: "Even without bad officials, would we have won?" The answer in both cases is no.
I guarantee he was calling screens to counter the blitzing but if they know you’re going to screen they can sell out and blitz and cover the screen. We don’t have enough hooks, slants, and flat routes. The answer is simple: You keep calling screens, but instead of throwing wide, you hit Fidone(or whoever) on a quick slant. They’ll stop guarding the screen. This is not rocket science.
Dylan misses many open receivers & frequently throws to the wrong guy. Take the last pass for instance. The underneath route was open and still had potential to pick up the 1st down. At a minimum, if he catches it, we have 4th & short. Instead, Dylan makes the decision to throw it deep to Neyor and makes a poor throw that results in an INT. Sometimes, the deep route is designed to clear out the area for the underneath receiver. He locked in on Neyor instead of reading the crossing route.
As a Kstate alum, bring Collin Klein from Texas A&M to Nebraska over Satterfield! He did great at Kstate and now he's helping Texas A&M take the next step!
The National sports media have picked up on CFB referees how bad they are and hosed Nebraska competing for the win. Athlon Sports has a article on how Nebraska got hosed.
I am all for safety in college football but some of those targeting calls are atrocious. There are too many and having a greater impact on the outcomes of games
I saw someone comment that refs should have to do press conferences after games to address any controversial calls. I like that idea. Make them sit in the hot seat and explain their thought process...or lack thereof.
@@carrikerchronicles90 NO! You'll just chase off MORE refs and it will get worse. Have each conference's Director of Officials do the presser and answer those questions about calls. Those people are making BIG money, they can and should take the heat for how things are called.
personally don't like that format. It's kinda like fact checking in the midst of a debate. Refs deserve an objective analysis of their results and to be fair to them, that takes time. I like the idea - but instead of right after the game, have a Wed. conference with refs where an analysis is provided and refs have to answer to it. For example, when we got the ball 1st & goal at OSU 7. That 3rd down play appeared to go to the 1/2 yard line, but was spotted at 2 yard line. Wrong! The spot was just outside the 1, and, when you look at the play in slo-mo that was about where it should have been. I went back after the fact to look at it closer.
I think too many fans are looking at UCLA's 2-5 record. Better look at who they've lost too, Indiana 42-13, LSU 34-17, Oregon 34-13, Penn State 27-11 and Minnesota 21-17. I don't think game is going to easy.
Sat needs to have his play calling responsibilities revoked at minimum. Let our co-offensive coordinator start doing play calls. As Big Red Rant called him…he’s a football terrorist.
When i was a Freshman my Head Football Coach wrote on the Board for every run play He wants 4-5 yards. And that was back in 1973. RIP COACH LARRY DILLON!🏈
Before the year kicked off i figured that there would be a point in the season where we would get a wake up call. Being that the hype was so high, with a freshman qb and Rhules second year i knew that we were going to need a humbling moment especially after the great win over Colorado and honestly got a little bit of ego. Which ego is essential as long as it doesn't impact the progression of learning as a team with complaisancy. Sometimes we need to be humbled.
Adam I agree with everything you said about Satterfield, especially the deer in the head lights! He may be a good offensive schemer but I think when the bullets start flying I think the game gets too fast for him. Satts penchant for throwing sideways is unliked anything I have ever seen from a football coach!!
I don't disagree that we have too many lateral passes. However, Dylan is QB1 at a Power 4 school. Part of his job is to see when the play is dead before it starts and get us out of the play into a better/safer play. The play caller is calling plays based on down, distance, defensive tendencies and defensive personnel. The helmet mic gets shut off 15 seconds before the snap. When the defense shifts, shows a blitz when there's less than 15 seconds left, there's nothing the play caller can do except hope the QB makes a good decision. As a Freshman, Dylan has made a ton of mistakes - not just in the route trees in deciding who to throw to, but also in recognition when the defensive alignment is going to kill the play that's been called. OSU has the best defense in the B1G, statistically. We had more yards than they average giving up. We had way more 1st downs, TOP, Rushing yards. Instead of recognizing the things our offense did that nobody else has done, except for Oregon (who the last I looked is the #1 team in the country), we focus on things we really don't know all the facts & circumstances about. I'd like @carrikerchronicles90 to do a show on the whole process of getting the play in, the timing of the call, how the OC is deciding what plays to call, how the game plan is put together, and what the QB is supposed to be doing when they break the huddle. Split it up between pre-snap running play responsibilities and passing play responsibilities of the QB. The average fan doesn't know any of this stuff and ends up casting blame when they don't understand. We only see the play that was run. We don't know the play that was called. We don't know the blocking assignments. We don't know how the defensive shifts and movement can affect the play turning what looked like a good potential into a bad play. Satterfield does have room for improvement - as does Tony White. Our QB1 is a true freshman and he will get better. His growth comes at the cost of people blaming his coaches, quite unjustly overall, imo. Even on those lateral passes in the 4th, re-watching the game & slowing it down, a couple of those were a missed tackle, or a better block, away from a big gain. Yet, all we do is complain about the lateral pass. IF the LB that's in man coverage on EJ is a half-step slower, EJ picks up big yardage. IF one of our guys get's a rub on the LB, EJ picks up big yardage. Is that the fault of Satterfield? Same with the screen pass to EJ. Our guard was late getting over - maybe Dylan got rid of it earlier than he should have. Had our guard gotten over to the play and made the block on the LB, EJ picks up a nice gain, maybe a 1st down. Is that the fault of Satterfield?
Calls favor the Big 10 teams like Ohio State, Penn State , Michigan and Wisconsin.....obvious call have gone against Nebraska over the years because the Big 10 really doesn't like Nebraska being in the conference and they are continually kept down by officiating. Any close call goes against Nebraska, it's great that Coach Ruhle is finally fighting for Nebraska and not just looking the other way like MR and SF did. Pelini used to fight for Nebraska as well....hence this added to his reputation as a hothead.
Love this channel and your enthusiasm. Part of the long ball game is that receivers get open, ours can't seem to get open and here recently our qb can't hit them if they are. If receivers can't get open, block down field or on side screen, quick outs there is going to be limited plays that can be called. Same for running backs. Good ones make the first guy miss the majority of the time and hit the open hole, not run into the pile and then go down. (the OSU game was the best the've ran this season against quality d. All of these issues create limitations in play calling. I think this game will be the catalyst that makes our team into a winner. They will win at least 3 more games this season, as long as we don't loose anymore starters. Good luck to all you that apply for Satterfield's job:)
Adam, thanks for always staying positive and keeping the faith in the Huskers. I always look to you every week to pick me up after tough losses. Thanks for the inspiration!
I think that was media driven and not his thoughts. He said once he got fired he’s been able to speak his mind and it’s vastly different than when he was on espn
I really think Raiola is a bit banged up. There were rumors around his ankle a few weeks ago, which may be getting better so it opened him up to run. Also, there were rumors that he might have something going on with his shoulder. Late in the game, he took a hit which didn't seem to bad, but he was really working his throwing shoulder after that and looked to be in pain. That would explain why he can't seem to throw very accurately down field when he was able to early in the season. That would also explain all of the screens if he can't dependably get the ball on the mark down field.
I am inclined to agree. Dylan is pressing and not feeling it right now. The grind of a college season is a lot different than high school. Since we have a bye after the next game my thought would be to give the start this week to Harberg against UCLA and see what he can do. This would give Dylan about 3 weeks between games to recharge for the home stretch.
My swim coach’s use to do this thing where during a training set they would wait till we were finished and then keep us even more tired past the time to redo a main set. They told us that the half a** effort is not going to make us better when we can do better. Even more tired we would redo the set and most of the time they were right and we did it way better.sometimes if they still were not satisfied we would do it again. Always at the end we got a speech saying why if you could put that much effort in didn’t you do it the first time when we asked you too. It was always chalked up to we gave in to our our pain that wasn’t actually there and not actually restraining us like we were willing to let ourselves believe. From Indiana to Ohio state it reminds me of completely and totally giving up on the set. And then turning around and trying to put in that max effort. When I watch the game all I want to see from our team is that they gave it everything. The Ohio state game makes me more disappointed in Indiana because I think why didn’t you try that hard then. I don’t think that Ohio state max effort was given by everyone and I’m talking practice there was no taking it easy on race day ever. The talk of training was to make us better for max effort on race day. Sad that I’m comparing training slacker mentality to a teams race day.
It is almost criminal at how well the Defense played only to be sabotaged by the Offensive play calling. As far as Officiating goes....Nebraska has been the flag and non-flag call for years. What sticks out most in my mind is when we played K-State a number of years ago. We were going in for a tying or winning Touch Down when our Qb was absolutely maulled by a defender and the Qb's face mask grab was so strong it nearly caused injury and caused him to fumble and a defender picked the ball up and ran it back for a TD. No penalty was called😮
And yet the defense didn't get a stop in the 4th quarter when we needed them to. Same story as games lost in the past. Our offense gets a 4th qtr lead and the defense let's it slip away.
With respect to the tweet about seizing opportunities, in my opinion, as long as the officiating continues to stifle Nebraska's momentum at critical moments in the game, those opportunities will be held out of reach. Obviously we need to be disciplined and every player on the field needs to give 110% on every play, and the play calls need to put the team in the best possible position. But if every positive offensive play gets called back or every defensive stop is rendered moot by a bad ref call, then every play has to be perfect just to have a chance.
Rhules press conference was awesome. Everyone should watch it. The spot, the refs give Rhule a 15 yard penalty the other week and then Ryan Day is throwing his headset, pushing people like an ape, and the refs don’t penalize him. It’s time for an overhaul.
Rhule lost his 7th one score game in his 20 at Nebraska and you're on here bragging about how awesome his words are 😂😂😂 Dude gets outcoached constantly but makes your loser fan base happy because celebrating moral victories after close losses is better than winning games 😂😂. And then of course u cry about the refs. Boo hoo
Speaking of missed holding calls, go back and watch OSU's first drive. Their left tackle had a super bad hold that wasn't called, where they got lots of yards.
I've said it since the middle of last year. Tofu Satterfield has to be replaced. He is simply not a good coach and lacks anything resembling a strategic mind.
Bang on in every way. Satterfield needs a wake-up, so the Glen Thomas idea sounds like a great one. Yes, officiating is ruining too many games. It's a crime being committed every Saturday, in every conference. Thanks, Adam.
NU started out hot and I think because of that, we all started thinking Rhule was going to skip year two of his typical rebuilding process and jump right to year three. What I am seeing is NU is going through growing pains and that is good because it means the team is growing. Also, you are right, there needs to be some investment into refereeing. The B1G often leads the way. The B1G should lead here too. GBR
@@Shawn-p4r it wasn't lol he scrambled three times against Colorado, twice against Northern Iowa, once against Illinois, and once against Rutgers. For a "pocket QB" that is a lot more than your "first time he actually scrambled and ran lol your recency bias is insane
Raiola's production being down has happened at the same time the running game has declined and more of the side to side plays have been called. Is there a connection?
Adam, will you potentially look at doing some videos on the other Husker sports? I think it'd be great for our other athletes to see it. Basketball played today, they look promising, early exhibition game so not clean but there's promise there. Volleyball looks fantastic, really hitting their stride and undefeated in Big 10 play
The future is still bright, building takes a bit longer than a couple years. Seeing progress will bring the guys Matt really wants, especially in the trenches. I think we'll start seeing some more of our future in the next 4 games. How many players haven't played to hold on to a redshirt? It will be difficult to replace some of our defensive talent, but I have a feeling the drop won't be huge. Remember how many were doubting this year's defense could match last year's. I think they're doing fine overall, just need to get up for all the games and not just the big time programs. I see Satt getting a new spot, not necessarily being fired. I also see everyone forgetting Matt's been bringing on more coaches throughout the season. If he had the budget, I think he'd hire a personal coach for each player. And don't worry about developing Raiola. He has a personal coach, along with Glen Thomas. And he know more than one pro. We need to develop our wide outs. But, that will come.
I don't expect all that rosy stuff happening just because you're playing Nostredamus with it. So tell me what happened to all the rosy fan predictions that haven't happened the last 10 years ?? You got any positive slant for all that not happening too ?
Adam, I would like your opinion on what you think Rhule see’s when he watches game film and see’s all the sideways passes for a loss or no gain? It’s called a forward pass for a reason!!
I agree with #1 I agree with Dylan our quarterback. I think good things are going to happen. I am agreeing with the writer. Although some of the fan base is shifting. Us Nebraska fans will always want the very best for the team. (I am still bummed that Coach Scott Frost did not succeed in Nebraska as he did at the University of Central Florida. Where his teams were electric.) THANKS, again. Mr. Carriker.
Great content, as always! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
If the Huskers play the way they played OSU, they have a real chance of winning out but there's talk of Dylan Raiola playing on a rolled ankle that's affecting his passing accuracy. GBR!
A lead blocker on those off tackle plays would give Dowdel a chance (how about an I formation). If he calls a bootleg pass on 4th and goal out of the unbalanced line with a jumbo backfield overloaded to the same side, its 2 on 1 at WORST and Dylan walks in. Since we scored our TD BEFORE OSU had a 1st down, that makes it a 2 score game!
Dylan doesn't need a called play to do that. He's the QB. It was 4th & goal. He could have faked it and ran a naked bootleg. Why didn't he do that? He's supposed to be making pre-snap reads, counting the number of players, identifying safeties & LB. Why couldn't he see that the ball was spotted at the 2 instead of inside the 1 like the coaches thought? The coach calls the play & then it's up to Dylan to decide if it's the best play based on the alignment & movement of the defense. Once the mic goes off, the coach can't tell Dylan the play call isn't going to work based on the defense. Dylan has to get better. Yes, he's a freshman but he has to get better in recognition. I agree a bootleg pass would have been a more acceptable play call. We haven't run one all year - it would have been the perfect time. Where's the voice of our co-OC? He's discussing most every play with Satt already.
@Jeremy-u4q free country for sure but is it beneficial? We've [Husker fans] been speculating how many wins for 20 yrs of let downs. Insanity is doing the same things expecting different results. I get it, we're just fans but it's worth a try brother
I hate screen plays. I have always hated screen plays. The only team that I remember running screen plays with success is the Patriots with Randy Moss. Sometimes a bubble screen is fine, or a RB screen. But, that's just to keep the Defense from getting to aggressive
We need a nationally picked up story / study about just how awful the reffing has been for us. People will just think we’re biased fans without the actual unbiased data.
@@nevermindme8922 I disagree. He showed it early. I agree with AC. He needs good coaching but he has the attributes. Personally I expected him to struggle. I’ve always said and still believe QB is the most difficult position to play in all of sports. Riola is struggling when under pressure which honestly affects you at times when you aren’t rushed. It’s a real mind game.
Didn’t Matt Rhule get called a personal foul for throwing his headset down two weeks ago? And Ryan Day got a side line warning…also the inconsistency in Pass Interference calls is MIND BOGGLING
I've said many times and voiced my concern on call in shows after games that the Big10 hates NU. They wanted our brand when we joined the league, but they resent NU for 1994, when Penn St. was shut out of a shot at the National title in favor of NU, leaving the Big10 out of the picture, then 3 yrs. later, in 1997, Michigan was #1 in both polls heading into the bowl season, barely won the Rose bowl over cinderella Washington State while NU rolled over SEC champ Tennessee, then had to share the National championship with NU. The Big10 blue bloods never forgot how they got "screwed" by NU, and they're loving seeing NU struggle now. NU needs to overcome the bias against them by playing and coaching well enough to overcome the obvious favoritism shown to our Big10 "brethren."
For some reason, in situations that are hopeful, the Offense goes to “safe” plays and opposition knows that. OC goes to routine plays that everybody knows and defends successfully.
That's a lot of questions at the end. In short, no. I am way too level-headed. I agree with you. No nebraska was bad the last 10 years because of poor coaching hires. The pac 12 teams are learning high-powered Offenses dont work so good in the big 10. Satt, im not saying he should or should not be fired. I do think you are starting to see enough where you can where you can make a case for keeping or firing sat. The question is always is the team improving. You made a good case that the offense has a good balance of run and pass but also struggling at times. Since Satt came to Nebraska, nebraska has won time of possession in almost every game. Before, nebraska almost never won time of possession. Nebraska ppg last year was 17.5, and this year, it is 24 ppg. The bad is the passing last 3 games, 520 yards, 9 sacks, 5 picks, and 0 touchdowns. They have to do better than that. Huskers need to use haarberg, the TEs more, and the fullback. The sweeps and screens were working sometimes, but they overused them. Also, im not sure that Mcguire is the right WR coach. Overall, huskers should like where the defense is and can continue to kick the ball good, but not very confident in the passing game. Seems like they leave 14 points on the field every game. The next 4 games are very important for the offense.
You want to talk about inconsistency, then look at Nebraska. They found all that energy to play Ohio State (and still lose) but looked dead the moment they took the field against Indiana. You can't tell me Indiana is THAT much better than Ohio State. Nebraska's main problem is that inconsistency.
The ref issue has been around at all levels for a long while. But what kills me is the staff didn't help the offense during the last drive when we still had an opportunity to overcome all that. Not asking for Rhules head but he needs to quit with "friendship" or whatever it is and make some changes or Riola could hit the transfer portal.
Adam - You can’t imagine how many times I was screaming at my television, the same things you talked about. So much so that my wife banished me from downstairs cause I was screaming at the television so much and made me watch upstairs. Satterfield must be the most Uncreative offensive coordinator I’ve ever seen. One of the best athletes on the team is Heinrich Harberg but yet he’s hardly ever out on the field seems to me he ought to be out on the field when the office has the ball at least half the time. He could be a white out he could be an HVAC he could be the quarterback they can move them all over the field. Maybe he only touches the ball. I have it as in times or less a game but Damn . Here’s a thought Heinrich and Dylan out there. Same time as quarterbacks. Line them up right next to each other. Each one has their own play. How do you defend when you don’t even know who the quarterback is a step farther one has their own play and let the center decide who’s gonna snap it to the quarterbacks don’t even know until it happens. I need to defend that . Maybe that’s impractical come on I don’t get paid to be creative, but I can be 10 times as creative as this bozo far as I’m concerned unless he show something big in the next four games Satterfield should be history. Space PERIOD.
Before the Indiana game NU had the 12th most difficult schedule. I said the worst case scenario would be 2 wins and best would be 4. I’d say it’s likely still to be 2…ideally 3. It would be great to beat UCLA, USC, Wisc and Iowa. Not sure we can or will.
I forgot to mention in my earlier post that the hosts of the post game call-in shows I used to call would pooh-pooh my complaint and dismiss my opinion. I think the record speaks for itself, and Saturday's game against OSU was a glaring example of NU being treated like the unwanted stepchild of the Big10.
Not sure that anyone remembers but several years back there were a lot of people in power calling for American football to end. They called it barbaric and dangerous. Not sure why anyone would be surprised with what is happening in College Football it’s like it’s being done on purpose
6:42 the program WILL NEVER progress unless we stop making everything about Osborne. The players on the team the last year he coached could conceivably be grand parents. LET IT GO!!
What I don’t understand is why Nebraska uses Haarberg for one play per game close to the goal line. Everyone knows when he comes out we are going to run him and we get shut down. Put him in for a few more plays and let him air it out a couple times especially since they’ll be expecting him to run. It will give Raiola a chance to take a breather as well.
Nebraska has not had a 1,000 yard rusher since 2018. Nebraska should try the i formation. Run the ball 45 times a game. Pitch outs. Misdirection. Quartetback keepers. Nebraska has lost at least 6 straight to Wisconsin. Nebraska should beat UCLA. Nebraska used to win games by at least 20 points. Now they do a great job of losing by 7 points or less. Nebraska used to dominate in the 4th quarter, ever since Frost, they lose in the 4th quarter. I hope that Nebraska is not afraid of going to a bowl game. Nebraska finds a way to lose to Iowa, this is the year that Nebraska finds a way to beat Iowa. At least Nebraska plays Akron and Houston Christian in 2025. That should be 2 wins.
Satterfield play calling is predictable and obvious running a ungodly amount screens gives the defense a good clue what plays are coming so it’s easy to overload the play and cause receivers to block two or three guys each satterfield please diversify your play calling specifically on goal line plays
1) Until they prove him wrong, he is correct. I really don't like to say that, but "facts don't care about feelings". 2) Yes, I agree with him. It does seem that they are headed in the right direction. 3) No, that is not how I felt, but I was VERY disappointed in how they played against Ind.
Yes. Maybe. Yes. I have a question, Who is NU's receivers coach and why can't he coach them to do, at least, a little bit of perimeter blocking? Especially since Satterfield always calls for those side passes!
I get where a head coach has to say he supports his coordinators, but sometimes you've got to publicly be called out to get your head out of your.....Tush. Mike Elko at aTm after game one loss, roasted OC Collin Klein in front of the press. Since then, they've run off seven wins and some big ones too. The offense looks like a machine now. Put Satterfield out on an island, and let's see if he can rise to the challenge from his head coach. I guarantee you that if nothing changes and Satterfield stays, Riaola is gone. He can't showcase his skills, throwing east/west negative yard passes. He's already flaked out on Ohio State and Georgia during recruiting, so what's to say he's not going to look for a better situation elsewhere in the age of the transfer portal.
@jeffpatchell6413 no actually freshman dont even usually play there first year and there a freshman for a reason. High school and college way different.
A few things 1. Fire satterfield and the WR coach. Wry was Satterfield hired?? He's not what Rhule says he wants on offense. Way too many stupid screens and short passes and poor perimeter blocking; it's insane. 2. Conferences should NOT have anything to do with officiating.
We can change our OC a hundred times but if our line isn’t going to block it isn’t going to matter. Raiola has very little time to make decisions. He’s not a scramble guy. That’s fine. Fricken block for him

I guarantee he was calling screens to counter the blitzing but if they know you’re going to screen they can sell out and blitz and cover the screen.
Can’t forget that “sideline warning” for Ohio state when their head coach threw his headset. Rhule got penalized for that exact action previously.
Day never let go of the headset.
Sometimes we need to be humbled.
great point
Adam I agree with everything you said about Satterfield, especially the deer in the head lights! He may be a good offensive schemer but I think when the bullets start flying I think the game gets too fast for him. Satts penchant for throwing sideways is unliked anything I have ever seen from a football coach!!
TFL TFL TFL Punt
Great video, Adam! GBR! I still think there is some rigging going on along with incompetence.
Not only do we talk football here but there’s also marriage advice now. I love the versatility of this channel.
Always gotta be growing and evolving lol!
hilarious
Dylan has been 1 TD away from his first 10 TDs in college football for 3 weeks now. And we're so close to a bowl game. Let's beat UCLA!!!!!!
Thanks for the kind words.
There’s no accountability for the refs. We have had terrible officiating year after year.
David Pollack has literally mocked Nebraska in the past when he was on ESPN. If he says we're getting jobbed.......we're getting jobbed.
I think that was media driven and not his thoughts. He said once he got fired he’s been able to speak his mind and it’s vastly different than when he was on espn
He made fun of Nebraska and laughed at the team when they were really struggling. That kind of thing is not necessary, I don't care who you work for.
OSU was looking past us. Almost bit them.
He ran fine though
Not for sure about Huskers, don't know which team is going to show up. GBR
The refs have been anti-nebraska since the last yr of the big 12..
Great episode. Thank you.
Wasn't that game against K-State in 2000, & Eric Crouch was the QB who “nearly had his head taken off”?
And yet the defense didn't get a stop in the 4th quarter when we needed them to. Same story as games lost in the past. Our offense gets a 4th qtr lead and the defense let's it slip away.
Win or Loss against UCLA i like the idea of giving Glen Thomas a shot at the play calling...nice suggestion
Its getting ridiculous and worse as we go along. At some point it will get so bad we'll have AI and camera refs
Rhules press conference was awesome. Everyone should watch it. The spot, the refs give Rhule a 15 yard penalty the other week and then Ryan Day is throwing his headset, pushing people like an ape, and the refs don’t penalize him. It’s time for an overhaul.
To be fair, Day didn't actually throw his headset. He almost did. But I agree with the sentiment.
Boo hoo

@colinj8724 yeah it sucks. The nebraska sports media is celebrating a close loss. Pathetic.
not defending Shatt, but Dylan checked into some of those screens. Freshman, but growing fast.
It’s all about executing those screens that can be corrected.
Shatt 😅
Speaking of missed holding calls, go back and watch OSU's first drive. Their left tackle had a super bad hold that wasn't called, where they got lots of yards.
Actually, I think this would be the 3rd pic you show in this vid where Butler is taken down.
I've said it since the middle of last year. Tofu Satterfield has to be replaced. He is simply not a good coach and lacks anything resembling a strategic mind.
Who cares he eats Tofu it's actual food. What weird nickname should we call you then ?

Bang on in every way. Satterfield needs a wake-up, so the Glen Thomas idea sounds like a great one. Yes, officiating is ruining too many games. It's a crime being committed every Saturday, in every conference. Thanks, Adam.
Thomas has not done very well as an OC
With instant replay there us no excuse for most of these bad calls.
I've been saying it for over a yr, sports gambling Wirth lots of money,& now people just finally seeing it,, getting blantly obviously now to people

Gotta say, this might be the best chronicle you have ever completed. Loved it.
Appreciate it.
I agree with your analysis- it’s just 1 day after Wilson Dittman posted same points but within an hour after game ended.
GBR
Not a fan of scatter field but raiola needs to work on his accuracy.
Exactly and why was this first week he actually scrambled and ran
100 percent
Yep!
Love Dylan. Still a huge fan of Double H. I dont know if it'd work, but I'd live to see more of a mix between the two.
Jaylin and Barney can go deep while neyor and banks can go mid to deep and fidone over the middle
Yep, makes sense to me too
Adam, I would like your opinion on what you think Rhule see’s when he watches game film and see’s all the sideways passes for a loss or no gain? It’s called a forward pass for a reason!!
I agree with #1
I agree with Dylan our quarterback. I think good things are going to happen.
I am agreeing with the writer. Although some of the fan base is shifting. Us Nebraska fans will always want the very best for the team. (I am still bummed that Coach Scott Frost did not succeed in Nebraska as he did at the University of Central Florida. Where his teams were electric.)
THANKS, again. Mr.
GBR!
Agree on all accounts Adam, keep it going
How much of the offense’s woes have to do with Dodell? Is he able to make plays?
We have GOT TO win 3 of the last 4 somehow
In the wise words of George-Michael, I got faith

I hate screen plays. I have always hated screen plays. The only team that I remember running screen plays with success is the Patriots with Randy Moss. Sometimes a bubble screen is fine, or a RB screen. But, that's just to keep the Defense from getting to aggressive
The Big 10 Officials haven't wanted Nebraska in the Big 10 from the beginning!
We need a nationally picked up story / study about just how awful the reffing has been for us. People will just think we’re biased fans without the actual unbiased data.
That's why I showed the clip from Josh Pate's show. The bad officiating is everywhere, it's not just us.
With THIS year's team, I am NOT counting UCLA as a "W". PLAY the game, and play a COMPLETE game -- all four quarters !
Damn!! I was in a room full of family begging NU to go over the top!!! Riola’s strength is his touch on long balls.
He hasn’t had the touch on long balls though
@@nevermindme8922 I disagree. He showed it early. I agree with AC. He needs good coaching but he has the attributes. Personally I expected him to struggle. I’ve always said and still believe QB is the most difficult position to play in all of sports. Riola is struggling when under pressure which honestly affects you at times when you aren’t rushed. It’s a real mind game.
Nah Raiola's been pretty inaccurate lately
not so much the last 2 games
My worry is next year possibly loosing Tony white, and loosing TY Rob & Hutchmaker 😢😢
For some reason, in situations that are hopeful, the Offense goes to “safe” plays and opposition knows that. OC goes to routine plays that everybody knows and defends successfully.
Pastor AC just broke out a prayer for the Seminoles!!! Nice touch. Dear baby Jesus….
After being shut out from the playoffs and going 1-7 since that time, I figured they could use a little prayer.
@@carrikerchronicles90 lol. You have a huge heart brother!! I’m sure they appreciate it!
That game gave our squad confidence. Unthinkable these last 4 are going to be very good football.
I agree
The ref issue has been around at all levels for a long while. But what kills me is the staff didn't help the offense during the last drive when we still had an opportunity to overcome all that. Not asking for Rhules head but he needs to quit with "friendship" or whatever it is and make some changes or Riola could hit the transfer portal.
I love that you say it how it is. Well done Adam!
Appreciate it.
I still think we can go 4-0 to finish the season.
Can and will are 2 separate things. What you said is highly unlikely.
I think refs should absolutely have to have a press conference like everyone else. I bet they’d think twice about spotting a ball 3 yards incorrectly
The 2nd half the Huskers should have used Haarberg at the QB position more and given OSU another threat to worry about!
Adam -
You can’t imagine how many times I was screaming at my television, the same things you talked about.
What do you think of the overturning the targeting call against Ohio St?
Before the Indiana game NU had the 12th most difficult schedule. I said the worst case scenario would be 2 wins and best would be 4. I’d say it’s likely still to be 2…ideally 3. It would be great to beat UCLA, USC, Wisc and Iowa. Not sure we can or will.
Great job Adam!
It's Michigan's fault. The claim to fame was his 63 points on Tennessee 3 years ago. Because Michigan gave south Carolina Tennessee signs.
Satterfield
When will you realize that getting ran out of town is not the goal?
Too long.
Satterfield play calling is predictable and obvious running a ungodly amount screens gives the defense a good clue what plays are coming so it’s easy to overload the play and cause receivers to block two or three guys each satterfield please diversify your play calling specifically on goal line plays
Adam what do you think of the defense calling themselves death row?
1) Until they prove him wrong, he is correct. I really don't like to say that, but "facts don't care about feelings".
2) Yes, I agree with him. It does seem that they are headed in the right direction.
3) No, that is not how I felt, but I was VERY disappointed in how they played against Ind.
Yes. Maybe. Yes. I have a question, Who is NU's receivers coach and why can't he coach them to do, at least, a little bit of perimeter blocking? Especially since Satterfield always calls for those side passes!
Love the shirt!
We just have to get rid of the screen game. Dylan missing WIDE OPEN receiver's is UNACCEPTABLE!!! Him being a Freshman is no excuse.
Kind of is actually lol
@tonymarco134 No, sorry it isn't. When you're a 5 star athlete you make the passes. That's a natural thing.
@jeffpatchell6413 no actually freshman dont even usually play there first year and there a freshman for a reason. High school and college way different.
@tonymarco134 We can agree to disagree. I think if a receiver is wide open with nobody within 10 yard's you hit him.
It's been said that Osborne and other coaches have give opinions Cleary the current staff is not listening, Period!
Throw the BALL DOWN FIELD!!!🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
Adam, what's the chances that m. Coleman gets to play these last 4 games. We could use his speed over the top as well.
I don't think it will happen, but honestly, I hope I'm wrong and I love that idea.
From what I understand he can play in 4 games and a bowl game and not ruin his red shirt season.
He's already a redshirt right?
@TaxinGigs he is redshirting this season, he played his freshman year.
Coleman played in the Rutgers game, has 3 left
A few things
