Even after over half a century I still get chills when TGBFTL plays those four notes to the four corners of the stadium and "Pregame". It never will grow tiresome nor has it ever failed to bring tears of pride to my eyes! It's always a great day to be a LSU TIGERS fan!
This does not get enough credit, man. Should have 10 million views. Goosebumps every single time. Thank you for sharing this incredible moment in LSU history from such a unique perspective. The Tiger Stadium one is off the charts too! Geaux Tigahs!
This is insane! Gotta love the bass drum guy and his buddies to the right and left who filled it all the spontaneous whoops and stuff. Sheer exuberance! Thanks!! What a team, what a band!
I am 56 yrs. Old, but every time I am at the stadium and you guys come out and do the stadium salute I LOSE MY MIND! In my heart I'm thinking, "Give me a helmut coach! I'm good for 1 play and you'll have to drag my old butt off the field!" I'd do it if I could! Love you guys SO MUCH! It ain't LSU football without"The Golden Band From Tiger Land"! "The Best Band In All The Land!"
First game with dad we threw oranges on the field against Florida State (hey they were handing them out ha ha for the Orange Bowl). Our last game together was against Ohio State (RIP dad). Whether the Tigers were good or bad, the BAND was ALWAYS GREAT!!!!!! Thank you for this incredible view.
My first LSU band director, Dr. William F. Swor, wrote this show. I still remember my first time marching pre-game as well as marching down the hill and double timing it up the stadium ramps.
What an amazing band! They are fantastic! And the idea of a camera taking in the whole thing on the bass drum, -- well that is totally spectacular! Well done!
Haha I'm glad someone else had the same idea as me, I'm a baritone in the UGA Redcoats and I threw my go pro on for the SEC pregame (uploaded it to this channel). You guys sounded great, and I was glad that LSU won in the natty, you deserved it.
Bass Drum is the most important instrument in any marching band. Wife (now a Music prof) was bass drummer in her college band. Everyone else in the band keys off of the bass.
@@faiththomas1749 Hey Faith, we have drill charts that specify our location on the field and the movements that we have to perform. The directors tell us when to stop and start, and we all follow the individual instructions on our charts. Thank you for watching and being a fan all the way in Cali!

That crowd is ridiculous
As a fellow member of a marching band, I can say there is nothing more nerve racking than going onto the field for a performance
This is spine chilling. Like I'm on the field with the band
