this has been my number one song for so long now i can't even describe how it makes me feel. it has left the biggest impact on my life and i cant thank seungyoun enough for it. i miss him so much and im glad hes doing well in the military.
today is my bday and i had no choice but for this to be the song to listen to when the clock struck 00:00.
i have literally written essays about this song and it is just my everything. when you write an essay, analyzing a song, you learn just a very deep meaning and grow a better understanding of it. writing that essay made me appreciate this song even more.
i specifically remember when i was living in a dorm for seasonal work at a national park last year it was the end of the season so everyone was leaving so the dorm was close to empty. it was almost unbearably lonely because it was cold and rainy. i had felt really sad for a while at this point. i was listening to this song and i had always loved it yknow like it's just so beautiful but i had never taken the time to look at the lyrics to the song so that i could understand what they meant. i was bent over backwards sobbing reading the lyrics. like i dont think ive ever cried so hard in my life. it will forever be a core memory for me. this song will forever be in my heart i dont know how i could ever forget it
seungyoun, you have left a stamp on my heart and it will forever be there. i am so thankful for you and for your art. you took a very personal story and shared it with the world. but this story is very familiar with a lot of people and i believe you have brought together a community who can share their pain together and i think that is the most beautiful thing an artist could ever do. you are the definition of what it means to be an artist. thank you for coming in my life and bringing back the spark.

i think this song particularly shows how he so vulnerable with his music and himself. the lyrics felt so straightforward and honest for him as an artist with his concern with his fans love and for how long it'll lasts. i honestly never seen someone made a song for their concern this 'naked' (maybe, i lack references but feel free to add yours reference into this). i mean to be this vulnerable and open about his feelings to be left behind in a lyrics just fascinating to me..
i mean, he did it before with meaningless (doing a song with a very vulnerable lyrics). but, this one seems more on how he trying not to be worried if his fans lose interest with his music or his existence as an idol/artist. he also shared about this in a live/tweets(?) (which i forget about, and i can't even remember abt, it until now😭).
but cho seungyoun if u happen to see/read the comments section i just wanna say we whether as a moodz/oneit/unicorn all love and support you for your music and everything that you do. keep doing it the way you are, you are loved🧡
Seventeen also tell their concern about idol-fans relationships in fear. I think it's pretty similar but the song didn't sound so sad like woodz do. But still I love them both 💕

The cinematography is 💯. I think that is the most gorgeous K-pop MV that I’ve ever seen. Doesn’t feel like K-pop anymore. The sound is indie rock, and the MV aesthetic is an indie film. Love that the MV includes French actors

just realized the latin tabbings as 7 deadly sins, virtues, and other meaningful themes like family, society, friendship future.. which might be represented by the 7 different people and the 3 Cho SeungYeon personas (the CSY traveler, the #WOODZ in guitar, the luxurious/greedy version of himself) whom he met at the library..
it's like those 7 people gave him their tears/sympathy (in crystal balls) in exchange of the packages (crystal facets of CSY in treasure box) like in the lyrics "it's alright if you want a lot, i'll let you have them all".
the people may like or hate him after they see what's inside the package, so he said "if you hate me, just leave". his only request is not to ask for every part of him for yourself. all he needs is for us to visit and look at him - for us to stay there and be happy. it's ok if we don't truly know him.
his fear whenever he gives a part of himself to others - that we will leave and that we would no longer enjoy being there with him. so he said it's easier for him to give himself up to us, but his worry is that we would long for more of him because we want to try to understand and know him better. that's why the chorus is repeatedly saying "it's okay" for us not to fully understand him. it's both a reminder to us, and a reflection of his fear.

I love how this mv fits the vibe of this song so perfectly. A bit melancholic, but still sweet. Like that content feeling you get when you realise and accept something, whether it’s good or bad. Everything in this mv contributes to that feeling, from the location, to the actors, to the colour grading. This was really well done.
On top of that the song is just so beautiful. As always our Woodz giving us incredible music. So proud to be his fan!

And the thing that got my attention the most is the lyrics. This time a felt it on another level. I have this feelings... um I want people who I closest with in my life to know me better. Understand me better. But at the same time I don't want anyone to know truly who I am and what I'm going through. It feels wrong for people to know too much about me even if I want them to. And I'm scared that if they know all they gonna leave me. And I'm gonna end up completely alone. On some level I'm fine with that I mean if you don't like the way I am u can just leave but... is it good for me? Idk I sorry why am I saying all this 😅
