Hi Renee! Your beef sandwich looked delicious and I think you are right, the bread was hard to deal with the way they suggested. I would cut mine in half and slice it after it was baked too. I usually get the small hoagie rolls for my Philly cheesesteak sandwich’s, they seem to work better. I hope you have a wonderful time with the grandchildren. Have a very blessed weekend!
