@@jimgerock9190 yes it is, but since they will still blast all surfaces at the same pace, it wouldn't save any media. Some will wash it first to try and get any dirt off that could potentially scratch a surface but you'll just be washing it afterwards anyways.
Super project ! What a nice M3 coupe. We are looking for the part 2 : restoration of the wheels, interior, headlamp polishing, paint correction. What a great job !
Dry ice is great, but....looks like it also takes off the protective factory coatings. Do people generally re-apply anything to the underside parts where needed?
I told Jakub if someone could find it and mention it, that they'd get a hat lol Shoot me an email through the website contact page and ill stick it in the mail
Have to say, I prefer this ‘good condition, but filthy’ type of content where you really see the difference. Especially on E46 M3s….although that might be a bit too niche to be sustainable.
How long did it take to clean the engine bay and how much dry ice did you use? Also, which machine are you using? Seems faster than the ones aimed at the detailing industry!
dude, all that would of came off way faster with a heated pressure washer and would cost you a faction of the coast of a dry ice unit. show me of it removing rust, corrosion and oxidization.
Pas besoin de laisser la voiture 10 ans dans le désert 🏜 J'ai pris une route en travaux pendant plusieurs semaines et mon moteur était dans le même état 😣
Zee Germans make some gorgeous cars but they can't make a gasket that lasts more than 5 years to save their lives. All of these German beauties you bring back to perfection are slicked with oil underneath. I've had three MB's and an Audi and they all leaked like crazy. Main seals, transmissions, head gaskets - everything leaks.
You should edit the clip of the rear end out. Anyone who knows anything about cars can tell that's a solid rear end and the e46 comes with independent rear suspension. That's the wrong vehicle
This was an insert clip for a prize to anyone who caught it. Since you’re the second person to notice, I think I probably owe you a hat lol Shoot us a message through the request a quote form on our website (iamdetailing.com) and i’ll stick one in the mail if you’re in north america lol
1. Step throw some dirt on engine. 2. Take some sort of cleaning device ( sponsor order this today ) 3. Clean “ dirty” engine and put it on YT 4. Wow great fantastic etc.
That dry ice machine is a detail enthusiasts #1 item on Christmas 🎄 👌 wish list
Why wouldn’t you wash most of that dust off before ice blasting?
Because that would add an unnecessary step.
@@darkness1691 ok. My reasoning is water is less expensive than the blasting media. At least for the dusty under hood areas.

Less of a visual change, so the video won't get as many views

Nailed it on the dry ice cleaning.
Beautiful vehicle, Jake. 🔨👊🏻😎
no, it would of came off with a pressure washer. No way would this taken rust, corrosion off
No rust at all...thats just dream place for car..Almost like new after just cleaning
The Best in The world
the reason that I subcribed is because of this series about E46 , please do more videos. thanks
We've got all sorts of things coming up!
Super satisfying to watch from a fellow E46 M3 owner. Looking forward to seeing the progress on this.
dude dont be fooled, its a fake vid. all this would of came off with a standard pressure washer
@@muckman5509 yeah electronics especially love it when you pressure wash them from close distance
Thanks guys, great job!
Thank YOU
Superb. Just like factory reset
CEL included
Amazing! Finally a BMW :)
We got you covered ;)
Mission Impossible ! Amazing new method
This is very cool!
Awesome!

Killer work!!
Badass bro inspirational
Love to hear it
Thank you
Amazing job!!!!!
I absolutely can’t wait for the “trickle down” technology to make this to the “at home” DIY detailer.
Is there anything you apply to the engine bay plastics that's not oil based to try and maintain that cleanliness for longer?
Wow absolutely stunning job
how many pounds of ice did you go through to complete all the dry ice blasting?
Great work!! Thanks for sharing guys 👍
That's a gorgeous e46
Dry ice is great, but....looks like it also takes off the protective factory coatings. Do people generally re-apply anything to the underside parts where needed?
As I was looking other videos, it seems they apply some sort of spray wax under the body to re-protect it.
Hi, what settings on ColdJet machine are you using for Engine bay cleaning? NICE JOB!
where does the dirt and dust goes when u spray/cleaning it? it seems the dirt just disappears after u blow the dry ice...
To be honest mate that was a mint car to start with and a jetwash would have done pretty much the same thing
That works like magic. Where is the dirt actually going to?
GREAT JOB, HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO MAKE THIS ENGINE COMPARTMENT? HOW MUCH DRY ICE DID YOU USE?
what a theraapy maaan
What about the other flip sides of those parts in the engine bay?
What pressure do you use in the engine bay so you dont ruin the original paint?
Great! I was amazed at the cleaning power of dry ice.
Cool
Excited to see the final results…
Please share the dry ice machine details, cost and set up?
Perfect 💯👌
Glad you think so! Did you catch part 2?
What car is this at 7:29 doesn't look like a BMW M3?
My question is, with the dry ice cleaning technique, where does the dirt go? It has to go somewhere else this is magic
I was wondering the same thing.
it freezes it and makes it brittle so it can then shoot it away with the pressure as small forzen particles
@@Joshua-xv1vb Ok now I understand, thanks
Where are can buy this dry ice mashine? In my country, in Armenia we have not this
How much is the engine compartment cleaning?
Добрый день!

wow nice amaizing.
satisfying!
The correct title is cleaning with the Elixir of Life 🤣
Super satisfying, do you know the channel M539 Restorations? he is focused on BMW and is one of the best i have ever seen.
Um what’s up with that footage of a solid axel inserted at around 7:30??
I told Jakub if someone could find it and mention it, that they'd get a hat lol Shoot me an email through the website contact page and ill stick it in the mail
Exactly what I was thinking.
Hey I never got that hat!
Cool project. Would it have made economical sense to do a regular engine bay wash first? Love the content though.
Dry ice makes such quick work and with no mess, it's honestly my preference of engine cleaning methods
What were you spraying in the wheel wells?
Its an anti-rust protectant called Waxoyl. Similar to cosmoline but more modern
Woww !
What is the model of the machine?
Have to say, I prefer this ‘good condition, but filthy’ type of content where you really see the difference. Especially on E46 M3s….although that might be a bit too niche to be sustainable.
Which machine do you use? ie make and model of the device?
Coldjet PCS60 and the Karcher 7/40

Bonjour c est quoi la marque de votre machine pour nettoyé le bas de caisse et moteur et savoir les produits
How long did it take to clean the engine bay and how much dry ice did you use? Also, which machine are you using? Seems faster than the ones aimed at the detailing industry!
They use a machine called Karcher. Usually they provide a link to their site for their products in their video description.
Amazing. Is your shop floor filthy after doing this?
lol yes. That's why we have a shop specific for dry ice cleaning... and have to clean it literally every single day
dude, all that would of came off way faster with a heated pressure washer and would cost you a faction of the coast of a dry ice unit. show me of it removing rust, corrosion and oxidization.
Amazing. So satisfying. How much hand cleaning is required after dry ice?
It really depends. Most of the time, not much, but sometimes we really have to scrub to get the stains or break free some pesky surface grime
Как называется это прибор???? подскажите ребята
how many cfm ??
Братан нормально помыл, что это за штука ?
Oh my god man that dry ice cleaning 🥴
Whic machine it was?
PERFECT !!! PLEASE DRY ICE WASH THE ENTIRE CAR COST ?

I have an m3, how much does the cost?
What is your machine and where can we buy it?
We use a coldjet pcs60

Where does the dirt go?
It gets blasted not the air and lands everywhere the wind carries it. High is usually the floor.

"If it ain't leakin, it's empty" is words I've lived by ever since owning German or British cars lol
What is that thing at 7m28s? Definitely not part of any E46 M3 I’ve ever seen 🤣
A car that sat in the desert for 10 years would require a hell of a lot of repairs first. Why wasn’t the repairs done before the dry ice cleaning?
Where is all the debris landing?
