This was the best Columbo episode music, in my opinion. It's so simple yet foreboding and haunting. It fits with their plans while driving a Rolls on a cool, clear Southern California night. Smooth, steady.... yet evil.
I put the words 'columbo theme' in the description so these videos would come up in search results. Looks like it's working. Glad you liked it. Cheers.
The bongos, though. I REMEMBER that as a kid watching Six Million Dollar Man. Oliver Nelson has contributed to my musical sensibilities with his amazing soundtracks.
Very cool. Sounds like a nice way to cruise through the streets of LA. With a little imagination you could be working on a case with the lieutenant. :-)
Everything Columbo music and the episodes I will always favor over anything new. There wasn't much violence on the show at a time when the other "cop" shows were littered with violence. A well done extraction on your part for spending the time getting these together. Thank you for sharing them. I have watched so many times these episodes I know where the music was in correlation to the show. That makes this even more fun to listen to.
Beautiful, Iwas transported back to the memories of my childhood, it stopped me in my tracks.I thought it was only me, but I was wrong, masterfully done❤
Wonderful score by Oliver Nelson, a real forgotten composer who also made the ost of "Zig zag"... He was very clever and offered smouth murder atmosfere. One of the greatest composers who had work on this unforgettable show. Thank you again dear fish man !
Please keep extracting this music. Eventually LaLaLand Records may go ahead and release a multiple CD set. In the meantime, I'm listening to everything you have uploaded. Thanks for this valiant effort to make great soundtracks available to all!
Thanks very much John. It's for people like you that I undertook this massive project. I've pretty much extracted all the music I can from the series. There were just a few episodes that I was unable to extract the music from, or the music was copyright-protected and could not be uploaded. Glad you are enjoying what I was able to upload. Cheers!
Oliver Nelson did some great tracks for The Six million dollar man that I really liked. His work should not be forgotten. Thank you for your efforts to share some great music.
Is there more music like the part from 4:25 - 5:05 ? I mean is it part of a longer theme or did he just compose that part for that scene? Really a brilliant score!
Oliver 'The $6 Million Man' Nelson. Ray Milland (again), Bradford Dillman and William Smith (whom I dislike) ever since I saw him in 'Hawaii Five O' in the late 70s. But he's still as busy as ever, even today though he's in his late 80s.
Watching a columbo episode with my wife and heard a trumpet solo that sounded just like Oliver Nelson, and here I am!
Great music! This episode is notable for great music and great humor. Peter Falk's fall down the hill was classic!
I love this theme music by Oliver Nelson. What a talented musician and composer. Hell of a player, too.
Fabulous catchy theme. Also… Miland is a joy. Watched Dial M for Murder this evening - I think his greatest film.
4:24 is the piece that I most enjoy from these early-era Columbos. Beautiful tune
Pure genius ... The super cool crawling sounds naggnaggnaggnaggnaggnagg... got added in a later episode....

このサントラのエンディングにながれるボサノバ調のメロディーは、これがコロンボのテーマ曲であっても良いのではないか?と思うほどの傑作ですね。
I also really like the melody at the end of “Dead Weight”, it feels very nostalgic
My favorite Columbo's theme, used in "Double shock" (S2Ep8) too.
Also used in "Requiem for a Falling Star" (S2Ep5).
Dexter: Hello, again, Uncle.
It is a favorite of mine too!🎶
Thanks much 👍 I search the Colombo song theme 👌perfect.

I believe these were also used in "A Stitch in Time" featuring Leonard Nimoy. Another classic episode.

love it. So evocative of that time, in the early 70s, and when they were all in their prime in the movies
Wonderful Ray Milland, great music !
Pure gold by Oliver Nelson.
I love it!
Los Angeles drive perfect music too.

Great score by Oliver Nelson, very reminiscent of his work for Rod Serling's "Night Gallery".

Really a brilliant score!
Did they use this first track from the six million man?
I don't remember that episode.
just more than stolen moments
