Since I'm not seeing any major uploads of the Gran Turismo 5 soundtrack (mainly the menu music), I decided to get off my lazy bum and do it all myself C: Bear with me however, I do NOT ensure perfect quality of the songs themselves, they are just being recorded in-game using a Dazzle, which mind you, isn't THE BEST piece of equipment I've ever purchased. I'm not sure quite how long it will take this project to upload all 189 tracks, but I'll TRY to at least get them all up within 2 weeks, no guarantees though :)

Gran Turismo singlehandedly make me like lounge music and bossa nova. My family makes fun of me listening to "elevator music". I just love how it makes you feel serene and productive at the same time.
I find it funny how mum would usually want me to boot up the PS3 and play GT5/6 for the sole purpose of listening to music *only.*
I mean, I can't blame her. There was time I did my school project in the living room and GT6 was playing in the background. I never even played the game. I immediately shut down the PS3 the moment I was finished with my project.
So yeah. There's so much nostalgia that we can get for a simple racing game.
My mum says the same the only song she likes is the one from my chemichal romance

Ahhhh.... nothing beats GT5's soundtrack man. It was so elegant and classy. Simply amazing even a decade later.

The music in this game is what makes gran turismo what it is.. I just hope they stick to this music genre when they make future games. Just going through the music looking at your cars is what make this game so genuine

I love it when songs remind you of times you had in your life. It always makes me sad when i forget one of those powerful songs, lose them or never get to know their name. Happily, we can always find them if we search for long enough :)

true eh, forza 3-6 felt like a worthy rival of gt due to menu musics alone. then in forza 7 it feels like yet another generic racing game
7 honestly has music that makes it sound like you have nothing else better to do but to sweat and get a sunburn on your front porch
I admire that they went from generic rock and techno instrumentals in the first game to this, the series has a ton personality and distinctive style
Fun fact: This band, T-square also did GT 1, 2, and 4. But GT1 seems had their entire OST changed in the west version so yea
the American Version was all Rock and Techno
GT was all Jazzy since the begining in the Original Japanese Version
First game had its OST changed due to worries it would be received poorly by Western fans - a decision made by SCEE in London, the UK also being a rather Japan-phobic place in general outside car culture (there's a reason most European anime and JRPG fans come from France/Italy/Germany) I do love the licenced rock tracks in the first four games' soundtracks, mainly Feeder's early stuff being included :P

everytime a Satoshi track comes on during gameplay, i stop what I'm doing and groove to it until its over.
Can't remember if it was GT5 or GT6, but in one IGN review they called the jazz music "eccentrically bad". I've never been so insulted in my life. This is beautiful!

It was gt5. The only valid critique in that video was the damage model, but everyone dismissed how hard it was to develop for the ps3. So for this reason, gt5 is a near perfect game given hardware limitations because at least 200 premium and 800 standard is better than 1000 standard…

When i listen to this song, i always get goosebombs and sometimes i cry. Because the memories and all the live back then was soooo good, i realy miss just hanging around and vibing to this masterpiece in the menu.
I am soooo glad i could grow up with Gran Turismo 🥹.
And it will never get old, until this day im playing GT 5 and it never fails me, its never boring, when my child is old enough it will get in the pleasure to play it on my old Ps3….

You know, as I scroll through GT5 and GT6’s music and comment section, I realized how younger kids today will do the same thing we did for GT7 in, say, 2031 or so. They too, along with us, will reminisce the things we did in GT7.
However, without a doubt, the 2010’s was the best year to happen with Gran Turismo. As soon as they stepped foot on the PS3 generation, everything went uphill from there. I can’t wait what GT7 has in store for us.

I believe GT5 will go down as a classic. It holds up really nice, even today - and it's going to be seven years old this year! The graphics are still good, the music selection is really diverse with a lot of good tracks from different genres and the gameplay itself is awesome. I brushed the dust off the game about two months ago and I've been playing it non-stop since then! :)

This is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard in a racing game. And, I've been playing racing games since 1999.

Even though I never made much comment on this song in GT5, I can say without a doubt that this music made me feel right at home. I've grown up with the Gran Turismo series and have played all the Gran Turismo games (before 6) that were released in the U.S. (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and PSP), and this music made me feel like Gran Turismo was welcoming me to is utterly relaxing menus, letting me calm down before the big races.
This is why I think Gran Turismo is the best driving series ever. Bar none.

This track epitomises Gran Turismo; definitely the best track from the GT5 soundtrack
They can reuse this and all the menu music used in GT5, GT6 & GT Sport for GT7 and I honestly wouldn't mind.
I hope they put all OST from gt6 and gt5 on gt7, like Kaz said, gt7 will be a combination of past, present and future, so hopefully we cam feel the vibes from gt4 and gt5
They did it for GT6 (a mix of GT4 and GTPSP’s menu music and the entirety of GT5’s menu music minus the classical pieces) and GTS (via Transmission Mode).
Considering how Gran Turismo’s menu music (excluding Sport) are composed for the game itself, I’m pretty sure PD can haul their menu music in future games without the need for the egregious licensing processes. And I hope I’m right, because I cannot wait to listen to the old music with the new ones in GT7.
too bad i sold my ps3 i was still a novice racing my mini cooper on suzuka circuit though and i had it for like 9 years i played burnout paradise and motor storm more.... damn memory lane...........................................................

I just love listening to this song after a long race. Especially after finishing those endurance races on A-Spec. They are smart enough to pick songs that quite neutral to all ages. Even though I admit I don't really like several pop songs they used during race (Or I'm not used to pop songs nowadays). I had to turn the music volume down and use my laptop to listen to my own songs.
