@@Halberdin haha this, I ask going to leave a comment about butt smelling as bonding for domesticated cats and dogs but it probably doesnt quite describe this interaction.
I put newcomer in separate room then stroke newcomer and transfer it's smell onto the resident cat & vice versa for a couple of days. The resident is curious sniffing by the door making those same noises as the one in the video. When they get together there is some smelling & butt-sniffing but no rejection. Happy cats🐱🐱
How do you get them to behave so well? ;v; I want another cat, but my current one acts like a savage whenever I bring the new one in the house. She hisses and if I pet her she attacks me!
BlushingEevee put the new one in cage my old cat savage too when i get new cat but 2 weeks later they r get along well and also both love playing chasing
😼 "What's going on here? I'm the cat in this house! Why did you bring in another cat, Hu-mon? This isn't right! I may have to kick you out of the house for this. If I didn't need someone to empty my litter box, you'd be OUT of here! This IS MY HOUSE!!! I'm going to my secret lair behind the couch, and think of a fitting punishment for you, hu-mon." (Walks away muttering to self) "Why did I ever let these hu-mons into my house? What was I thinking? Now they bring in another cat???!!! I'M THE CAT in this house!!! I know! I'll find some new hu-mons, and replace these.... But hu-mons are SO hard to train! What a rotten day! It's a good thing I stocked up on catnip! I'll need it tonight, if I ever hope to sleep. I'll be pacing the floor all night.... Silly hu-mons.... Another cat.... Forget the catnip, I need Scotch!!!"
Kitten is probably scared by a larger, older and established housemate, and needs to get used to the older cat. Keep them in separate rooms for a few days, and feed them on opposite sides of the door so the kitten starts to associate the sound and smell of the older cat with positive things like food. Offer treats when you're letting them meet face to face for the same reason, and don't let one cat crowd out the other.
Your male cat is very friendly to be so open, chatty, and curious about the new kitty.
Have these cats been neutered? If not, then I have an explanation why the contact works out so well. You can see what the tomcat is interested in.

The big cat is very friendly. This is actually a very ideal cat introduction.

Bauer is probably thinking that when Kara is old enough he will make a REAL female out of her.
Is that all you think about

What type of cat is the black and white one?
Tuxedo
@@lynneufeld3175 omg i didn't even remember commenting this lmaoo -- my 4 year long question is finally answered :') thank you
@@Leilani2828 Tuxedo is the name for the colouring. If you asked for the breed its probably a common domestic cat or maybe american shorthair
