Grace Gifford one of a family of 12 6 brothers raised as Protestants and 6 daughters raised as Catholics. Married Joseph Mary Plunket the night before he was executed . He was a signatory to the 1916 Easter rising proclamation . One of her sisters Muriel was married to another one of the signatories Thomas Mc Donagh who was also executed. Tragic but True. Unfortunately and SAD beyond words 😢 A very good read Rebel Sisters by Marita Conlon Mc Kenna 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Not a Celtic fan nor a religious man but this is one the most beautifully put together songs I’ve heard and this version is absolutely brilliant
It's not religious. More important than that!

Typed loads of comments. Then rubbed them all out. It's a cruel world. But the sun will shine. X
