Thank you for your review, letting us know what's happening, and pointing this out to the shops. You're right to be so upset, they are nothing but rubbish. The shops need to included the number of colors in each project in their description as well as showing us a picture of the actual canvas we are purchasing. I already got burned on ordering kits that were not washable and now this? The shops need to start quality reviewing the products they receive from the different factories before listing them on their sites. This may be the only way to stop this from happening. I have a couple of orders I'm waiting for and now I'm worried about what I'm actually going to receive. 🥺
Thank you for warning us. I will stick to the kits I already have and only stitch counted for the big images until I feel confident they aren't selling garbage. I received 1 bad kit and that was enough to stop me from buying more.
@@stitcha-rella very disappointing ! Warn the sellers they are losing customers because we are afraid to order. They could add stitch size and number of colors to help us decide if we want to take a chance
I never paid much attention to my kits but since I’ve been watching u on this channel I have been paying more attention to my kits. I have some older kits that I haven’t started that r like what ur telling us about. Very few colors and blocks of black or another color. Ty for showing us this. It’s an eye opener for sure.
Good on you for speaking your mind. Thanks for making us aware of the inferior products. Looks like these companies are taking short cuts and taking their clients for fools. Its such a shame, specially that tiger. Its a gorgeous chart.
Yes but its not the companies they sell and the orders go to a factory where they produce and sent out. They were not aware of this cause they dont keep or see the actual product😭😭
Thanks for the video and letting us know, bit worried as iam waiting on a few kits to come in just hpe theyhave more than 28 colours, can u tell us where u got these ones from, Glad ur feeling better xx
I have never worked a stamped cross stitch kit before as I always work the non stamped ones. But it is good watching your video as you are pointing out problems that I would not be aware of and will gain knowledge on what stamped cross stitch kits to avoid should I decide to work one. So thank you for the video showing the Rubbish ones and you have every right to be annoyed with those kits.
Disappointed in all those products. You know my recent experience. The one I had, the colors didn’t even come close to the colors in the image. The shops need to start listing how many colors are in each kit, and they need to stop using the factory making these. ❤
I totally agree with you, it's rubbish you know I have been wondering why the company's that sell to us don't ask the ones they buy from how many colors are in the design and then post that info for us. I mean if they post 2 pictures one with 28 colors for say 10 dollars and one with even just 35 colors for say 15 then the byer can choose cost or quality. And the company's will soon realize that higher numbers of colors sell better.
This week I received 10 plus kits which only had 24 to 28 colours. The new seasonal dragons only had 24 colours. I am so disappointed because there is no way to tell on the shops' websites if the kit you have chosen is going to have 20-something colours or 40. It is very unsatisfactory.
I did email the store and suggested they needed to identify these kits so we can make a decision as to whether to buy them. While they said they would try and do it, these kits are on all the websites so they all need to do something about the issue
Wow. Just wow. I can't believe they were all such terrible quality. Such a shame too because they could have been absolutely beautiful patterns to stitch. I hope they've refunded you by now and are fixing these kits. Thank you so much for sharing with us so we know to stay away. 💙
Never worked stamped cross stitch. Always used Aida cloth and followed the directions. Not sure I'd like stamped counted cross stitch looks to busy for me

Ich werde meine Zeit nicht damit verschwenden...Ich bevorzuge Joy Sunday, super Qualität und nie enttäuscht! Gut dass du andere Stickerinnen informierst! LG ❤❤
Thank you for showing us this.... I purposely do not order DIY and always check with companies first to be sure there is no DIY in my order, now I won't know what I'm getting since there is no name to ask about on this one. This is getting ridiculous... what are the companies doing, trying to find the cheapest factories and still charge us full prices to make money?? We need to worry about print washing out and now this! All companies need to start including how many colors are in the kit in their descriptions so we know what we are buying... a picture of the actual packaging as well as a picture of the canvas would be great too. Then we know exactly what we are getting and we can make an informed decision about what we are buying. We are paying good money for these kits and lets face it, with the way the world is right now, our money is precious. People are just going to be returning the product anyways, so it would be easier for them to include all information in the description. I think I will stop buying kits for a while till companies get their acts together or just buy Joy Sunday from now on. Thanks for your review and all you do.
What a horrible, horrible situation they put us in! You have all the right to be upset. Oh my gosh. I knew that there would be more kits coming with the 28 colors, but that aïda is indeed rubbish!! The factory that makes these products should go into another business, except in making stamped cross stitch kits. They are not capable. Yesterday I received a huge kit 50x70 with only 20 colors. Normally they have 40+ colors! Yes 20! I’m so sorry Sanet. 😢 I won’t buy any no name brand anymore, unless I’m sure it’s the brand that start with product Y etc. Thank you sweetie, please relax with your favourite cross stitch kit. Much love ❤
I was so happy with Sanets video on the new 16 count kits the other day that I ordered a whole bunch of them. Will be so disappointed if they show up with few colors 😢
Oh wow. I literally put the woman by the window canvas in my cart and didn't press buy yet. Yikes good thing I watched this video. Yeah I wonder why they do that?
I was just about to jump back into buying some kits cuz I thought the issues had been solved, but now I don't know. I don't have money to spend on these kits and hope to get it back or spend time fighting to get it back. I had a bad experience with struggling to get a refund back from AliExpress and that's one reason I am hesitant to order from any of these companies. So if they have this new (and random) problem with kits, I may be done ordering for good. That's too bad.
My biggest pet peeve is that I never know what company is producing a kit (unless it's JoySunday or Spring) and the number of colors in the kit. Makes me want to stop ordering. One kit I received recently only had 1 of the 4 pages of chart and the printing on the canvas is blurry. I saved to buy this kit and it was very disappointing. BTW it was the big house with the scenes of the family in each room. Vivian Ann on the side of the mountain in northeast Tennessee, USA
I think it would be extremely useful if the stores put in the description how many colours are in each kit -surely that is not too difficult a thing to do? Then we can make up our own minds before we buy. I can imagine that some kits would look fine with 28 colours, but not the really colourful ones that you showed just now obviously. Just let us buyers have the info to hand before we buy -I’m sure this would also save a lot of time and energy for the shops, dealing with complaints! 😱🤷♀️🤦♀️
What annoys me the most - you see a pretty cross stitch project. You think - wow, i want to stitch that one, you get it and its shit. The colours not match the picture and the faces of the people look like zombies or worse😒 idk if the companys will actually do something but i will not order for a while till its fixed👀
I also recently got one with only 28 colors. A nine tailed fox lady. LOVE the image, but when I saw the amount of colors, I knew it wouldn't turn out. I stitched a bit of her face just to check, so far it's looking terrible. Probably going in the trash. I'm going to be much more cautious with my buying from now on. :(
I had to come back and update. I reached out to Vipcrossstitch and to BiggestCraft. I asked how many colors come in some kits I was going to buy.(Both websites have the exact same kits). I also told them that they should include this information on the website already. Vipcrossstitch responded with, "about 28 colors" That's it. Mind you it was FIVE different kits I asked about in two different series. No comment on including the information and not even an exact amount of threads! BiggestCraft told me the exact amount of colors as well as sent me images of the canvases to confirm the amount. One of the series I asked about is this rubbish brand. Without any prompt from me, BiggestCraft said that they have reached out to the supplier and told them that is not enough colors and that they need to render it again with more colors! And that they will update me on the progress although it may take along time. Now they didn't say anything about adding information to the website. But they are listening to us!! If we inquire about these kits via email before we purchase maybe they will get tired of doing the extra leg work and put it on the websites. Please continue to reach out and your voice your concerns. I wasn't rude or snappy just asked and told them what would be helpful to us the customer. I am very pleased with BiggestCraft's response and help. They were prompt, thorough, and very helpful. I'm kind of put off from Vipcrossstitch and their lack of assistance.
@@stitcha-rella Thank you for letting me know. I'm so relieved to hear that!!! I really did wonder why I received such a brief response. I will gladly shop with them again then for their swift action. Do you know if they will be adding the thread number too?
@LexieMichelle I dont know but this chanfe was extremely fast. Only one week. I take my hat of to them since this is not a shop fault but a factory one😭😭
This is disheartening! 😞 I'm going to only buy Joy Sunday or Spring Brand kits. I've ended up with a handful of kits like DIY and don't love them. I do like them enough to take with me to work and cross stitch on my lunch breaks! I'm more careful with the branded kits and those only get stitched on the weekends. ☺🌺
I'm thinking I may just stick with Joy Sunday type kits for the next while. I also have to say that I've been suspicious of the quality of the amount of detail in some of the kits based on my diamond painting experience. I know that in order to get a suitable amount of detail with the more complex images, the canvas has to be huge and there is often 50, 60, 70+ colors. Otherwise, things look muddy and pixelated. 28 colors is not even close to the number of colors necessary for those images! Also, we ought to be able to see what these products look like actually stitched.
Oh, that's sad. I love every one of those images, but there is now way they can be made with only 28 colors! This is outrageous, a total rip off. I'm really would have bought the lady at the window and the steampunk tiger. But they need to have sufficient colors to look good.
Looks like a new supplier /: super sad that they want to charge so much then provide the bare minimum, even though programs literally do all the work! Would it be so hard for them to add more colors? Shame. It will always be a guessing game, though.
This is such a shame. These look like a nightmare and headache inducing. That’s why I usually buy the sets and end up getting my own pieces of Aida so I can stitch on good quality but then the low colour count doesn’t help much
The picture clearly shows multiple shades of gray with in the black areas. DMC has close to 20 shades between white and 310 black. Stitching this kit would be a huge waste of time and a total disappointment.

They expect that just because we’re foreigners that are going to except what has been given to us and won’t complain. Oops, WRONG! I think I’m going to write an email to Better craft and Fansells and ask them to please stop doing business with them until they deliver a better product. I would think that if your customers are complaining so much about a particular brand and company that you buy from, you would stop selling them because their quality is garbage.
