Hope everyone has enjoyed the series, catch the Chapter Three Location Breakdown stream later this evening. Keep an eye on the channel, new content coming soon!
Loved this series!! Am planning a DnD campaign combining Storm King's Thunder with Tyranny of Dragons, with Iymrith, Claugiyliamatar, Tchazzar, Voaraghamanthar, and Arveiaturace forming a Chroma Conclave like the one from Vox Machina as the leaders of the Cult of Dragons (renamed the Dragon Army), with Arkhan the Cruel and Kansaldi Fire-Eyes being two of the army's generals.
Man i know this hasn't gotten a lot of views but as new DM i seriously appreciate this. The book is not super straightforward for someone new to DMing.
Bravo! I feel like I just witnessed the most EPIC boss battle and I felt myself get totally hyped (as a DM) to run this just as epic for my players! Thank you so much for sharing your ideas. Is there any way to donate for this great content?
Wow you surpassed yourself sir. As a long time Dungeon Master i really appreciate all the content you provide because i know how much effort and time it may takes to attack a big adventure module as this one ! Keep up your good work.
Thank you dude! I have been running the campaign almost as the same time of you posting the videos and today is the turn of Doom of the Dessert! I love the idea of the sisters and Harshnag. I will implement it
Was looking to run this, got bored reading, and watched all your videos. This looks like a great adventure, and you did an EXCELLENT job going through it all. I'm not excited to run this.
I know it's not the end of your Storm King's Thunder videos, but it is a bit crazy that we're at the last chapter of the book (especially since my party is still slowly but surely making their way through chapter 3). Your content has been of phenomenal help in prepping for and running my campaign and I look forward to seeing what comes next.
Wonderful video as always! I’ve been a huge fan of this informative series. I’ve got a question, what do you think about using the Blue Greatwyrm stat block from FTOD for a higher-ish level party?
Not outside the realm of possibility! A revival for Iymrith's second healthbar should be really flavorful, and she would use all of her first HP pool outside of the tunnels.
I'm considering to have the full battle at the amphitheatre. Put her lair actions there and make it until the end, while beneath will be just a few chambers with her hoard and the purple worm wyrmlings. I'm not sure this break in the middle of the battle in order to change it to underground.
Excellent! I’m very torn about having Harshnag come back. My party loved him and are furious over his death. Not sure if his triumph return would be their favorite part of the whole campaign or feel cheap somehow. Not really sure. Love your description of it though and making me learn towards bringing him back.
I didn't mention the details, but he survived by leaping into the portal as the book suggests. He was ultimately saved by Lady Silverhand of Waterdeep who played a bigger role in my adventure.
I'm personally gonna toss the four elementals in Imryths hoard room and instead have her hoard be a hoard golem from the Tome of Beasts by kobold press, along with maybe swap the purple wormlings with a couple animated lightnings from the Fizban's book....the joys of balancing for a 3 player party, although I love the idea of Merren returning as a storm giant Quintessent. I'm super excited for my party to get to this fight, we are getting my ancient blue dragon mini painted up soon because my party just finished the eye of the all father for the first time
