WILL it START?? | Scrapped 360 V8 Jeep Cherokee

Today on the channel we head back to the scrapyard where we purchased the 977 CAT Track Loaders to start something else up that was laying around. Will it start?

A friend of mine back in the day had CJ7 he brought brand new with a 6 banger motor. He quickly pulled that out and put in a buildup 401 V8! I believe that was the largest engine that would bolt up in a Jeep anything. Yours is quite likely a 360CI which were in most JEEP waggoners ..

Man, you guys find all the fun ones.. I'd even join you on the Massey, that's going to be interesting. Certainly brings back the memories of working in a welding / scrapyard in my youth. And having the VP racing fuel or 80 / 100LL octane Avgas in that truck is most likely the only reason that fuel pump came to life if she's been sitting for years. Love the content guys, keep it up!

I hope someone adds some antifreeze to the motor or come winter the engine could freeze up and crack the block just as a Diesel would. I hate seeing people use plain water in engines if they live in the northern area as both do. I'm in MN..

Save the whole vehicle. I know the body is swiss cheese but anything with the engine size plastered on the fender is worth restoration.

Are you sure that Massey Ferguson is a 2 cylinder? There is a 3 cylinder Perkins that looks the same its the Massey 203.

I wanna say there was a bigger engine option than the 360, something like a 400ish ci engine option, also the front and rear axles are most likely dana 44 axles. Don’t scrap those

I have NO idea how rust can be patched up. The patch up job would be FAKE, but if done correctly at least it will LOOK o.k.

We live about 2 hours apart. The junkyard is by my place not his. Maybe I will drag him out there to work on the Massey 🤔🤔
