Hi dagger, tree worker here. It actually is scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris). Idk why but everytime i see you cut down a tree with the saw angled i get the jitters hahah:) in FS and real life the angle doesn't matter, but in FS unlike IRL the tree will always fall to the left of you. If you just keep the saw flush with the ground you get the most wood and its easier to drive over and grind the stumps:) Also, for some reason in fs25 crouching with the chainsaw is faster than walking
Just did some research into it and it looks like a Scots and Scotch pine are exactly the same tree. Scotch is the US name and Scots is the UK name. thanks for the tips, I’ll give them a go
@@Daggerwin Yes, I was on the verge of writing an indignant comment about it a couple of episodes ago and looked it up and came to the same conclusion, Scotch is just the 'murcan spelling, basically Scotch is Scots without the u... 🤣PS: I feel that logging trailer cranes work a bit smoother in FS25, or maybe I have just got used to them through practice?
Yes the Scotch, Scots, Baltic and European Red are all one in the same, have different common names in different places in the world but all share the same scientific name. Always been intrigued by how different places refer to the same tree as different things lol well that and 2 years of Horticulture.
20:55 I think business wise the best course of action is to grow long grain rice and yeet that into the production to make rice boxes, it pays over 8k per pallet
yes though I am disappointed in this, and I looked it up and IRL BOTH types of rice are planted and harvested in the same way, With Rice Planters and Rice Harvesters in flooded fields, I'd also have liked to see "elephant Ear" Rice essentially in game it would be Twice as tall as normal rice when Harvestable, and would Yield 5 times MORE rice compared to normal rice on the same field BUT is also extremely Weather Sensitive if the ears dip into the water the grains begin to germinate. so would have been nice to see a crop like this.
Living in the Philippines for three years in the 1980's, you could see carabao (water buffalo) everywhere. They were used primarily for plowing the rice patties and also for milk. They're at least as big as most US cattle breeds but EXTREMELY gentle and good natured animals. I've seen several young children leading them about with just a rope leash on a nose ring completely safely, without any adults present to supervise
he has a life irl u know that right? he said he cant keep up with 3 a day and u want more than 4?!?! let the man relax a bit, if he cant keep up with 3 then he def wont do over 4 episodes a day
I love the new enclosure. But can't help but feel as if you missed out on a great opportunity..... Water buffalo do actually truly love water... Idk how far into that big pond you own, but if you would have just moved it over further, Incorporated that pond into the enclosure a bit, relocated the track, that would have been sick. Idk if you can even build fences in the water, would have been cool to see you try though and go even more crazy into this new addition....also the fence line on the hill side would have been way more straight if it was moved over closer to the water. Maybe in the future.... Idk if it's even possible but just a cool suggestion
Loving seeing the water buffalo, they're so cute! Just to note Daggerwin, you can make a dynamic pasture with most (except chickens) of the animal buildings, even though it isn't in their description.
The pasture is so nice, good work. And as a son of a former cow farm, cows love the scratch their horns on stumps and trees, so for realistic purpose its even better to keep some
Would be a nice feature for giants to add if when driving through the brush and bushes in overgrown areas if it flattened them and if they slowly grew back so if you're clearing a woodland the area has a worked look to it plus helps seeing hidden stumps and branches in the over growth
Brilliant spot for tree storage. I have my tiny sawmill in that spot behind the Rice Patty Greenhouse. I had to move just right to allow the building there, but it's tucked in behind nicely.
Have been watching the entire series, and am really impressed with how well that pasture turned out, love the hills and lines of it all. Such a huge improvement to the game.
Hebicide can actually be sprayed right after seeding to prevent any weed growth for that field. I believe even after spraying the weeds cause some negative yield effect, but stops the weeds from growing to the next stage. The grown weeds can be removed with a weeder. At least this has been my experience in FS25 so far.
I absolutely love the new pasture. It looks so realistic and I love the new babies ❤️ Great series Dagger and loving the number of vids you’re putting out. Thank you ☺️
It is called Scotch Pine in the US and Scots Pine in the UK, according to the Wikipedia entry for Pinus sylvestris. I love the baby water buffalo enclosure. That was a great idea to use that area for them.
It is good to see you shines flashlight in it's eyes... my little friends pulls out chainsaw in it's face. I literally LOL'D at that good accidental comedy there Daggerwin 😂😂
Daggerwin, you are correct about calling it Scots Pine. In the UK its called Scots Pine and in the US its called Scotch Pine. I have them around were I live and they are not a good wood for processing.
I'm pretty new here Daggerwin but so glad you got FS25 early or i might not've found you. Keep it up, very entertaining from your excellent judgements.
Really like the new buffalo enclosure daggerwin this is going to really bring in big time money I knew there was a way to produce buffalo cheese in FS 25 but I wasn’t 110% sure but know seeing that you can do buffalo mozzarella and that production will be £20.000 plus the buffalo milk this is going to really going to help fund that cement factory and the temple build You just got to do buffalo mozzarella daggerwin there is going to be huge financial profit from that production this is what is going to make this farm successful I just know it 110%
im starting to believe those plots of land that involve lots of forest areas may be worth more than previously thought.. they make for great animal plots
Daggerwin a little hint for Wood Productions the only trees worth processing are the dark brown coniferous trees and those GIANT Japanese A-whatever trees anything else you can just buy & run threw a woodchipper for best profits I did this approach & made over 500K on that same wood land plot BEFORE selling the Timber Planks & Beams to the temple.
I did my dissertation on 'Scots Pine' so when you first said Scotch I thought you were mistaken until I went back into the video and saw the description box said scotch. I can confirm those trees look like the Scots pine I studied so id be pleased if you continued with what we know XD
Looking at this, we need a mod to plant little flags. So one can walk around and place a flag next to a stump, so they are easier to spot when driving around with the grinder
You will get the food from the meadow in the second month after placing the pen, but grass meadows might be broken now :( noticed in my game that my sheep had around 8k liters of it the second day, but never reseted after the first winter.

Really good place for pasture. I like it very much.
Also I like that little treehouse you made🤣
Oh no, I finally caught up with the episodes. I am sad now :(
Oh but wait! There’s more! Lol
I did that on day 1
Same here, I binged a bit yesterday :)

same, prob gonna be a few more episodes today though

Just shows he has a sense of humor 😂. Pretty funny to be honest!
Pasture placeables would be a cool thing, additional food capacity or water supply, shelters, milking station.
Great idea for a mod right here
That pasture was a really nice idea, going to make something similar for goats but leaving sawed trees and stumps in so they can climb on it!
24:20 "Hello my little friends, it's good to see you!" - pulls out a chainsaw in their face :D
100% best bit.
The pasture looks amazing! I was skepticalm but it turned out great. And "The sawmill has turned into a tree" was funny as hell.

22:20 wow, that music is exactly the same to the intro of a podcast I was just listening to. Dang that caught me so off guard
FYI, when placing the fencing for the pasture(s) you can use N or M keys to add in different type of gates, so you can add them where you want them.
The buffalo like the trees. They need some in there fencing.

You can fill your water bowser from the flooded rice field, not the pump, but from the field once it has flooded 😊
Sounds like you want at least one flooded field at all times then. That's too valuable to pass up.

Remember the animals need room to breed, you'll have to sell have of them or double their pasture space.

I found out last night, flooding the rice paddy takes a while. and you must do it often.
You should buy stump cutter to remove the stumps
I don’t think a Timelapse will look good. Proceeds to do a time lapse 😂😂
