Great take on our own TE Sanjit! 👍🏽I'll admit I wasn't confident with our 1st round draft until I seen him these past two weeks. I wish him all the success with the Raiders on top of him being my fantasy TE 😆
I was all about this pick, my cousin and I both life long Raider fans and season ticket holders while in Oakland. We always say draft talent over need.
Great job on this BB breakdown dude!!! If he remains healthy he could be the steal of the 2024 1st round. I remember the talking heads questioning the Raiders picking him, I hope he humbles all the experts. And I'm not even a Raiders fan. I'm out here in Denver, where we took Nix. Time will tell, but the early returns say he could be a generational talent.
I knew he was super special halfway through the first game. He makes it look so easy Raiders have a big problem for every defensive coordinator in the league!
You need to give telesco credit the safe pick should have been Fuaga, telesco understood and took a generational talent when we already drafted Mayer. Getsy needs to watch some videos of Pats of when A Hernandez and Gronk were on the field together and draw up some plays that take advantage of the weapons he has
Tom Telesco is looking like a genius now for drafting this kid with the Raiders 13th pick! I really wanted an Olineman for our 1st pick but I guess I can’t complain. Bowers looking like a SUPERSTAR and a difference maker who’s going to help this team win games!! RNFL!
I want to see Laube, McCalister, and JPJ activated this week. Laube and McCalister can offer some big plays for sure. I also want to see Tre Tucker sighting.
I literally told my sister this on Sunday during the game. Most TEs come into the league undersized and bulk up after their 1st year. I don't think he'll get heavy and slow down, but I do think he'll get bigger and get even better for the run. That being said, Michael mayer is getting forgotten about. He is also a very reliable target for short yards. May not get much RAC yards, but his hands are great, and his first instinct is to pull the ball in and protect it. Our biggest weapon is how many weapons we actually have. Getsy needs to have the offense take advantage of that
Brock will be a great diversion and open up the running and passing game for other targets. As a Georgia fan, watched Brock do it for three years and two (back-to-back) Nattys.
The last time the Raiders had a winning team, they had the best TE in football, Todd Christiansen. What made Todd special was how reliable he was. He had great hands. Both Pierce and Getsy's jobs are on the line if they ignore what they have. You don't game plan around Zamir White when you have Bowers. At worst he's read 2 but really Adams dropped 2 passes last week. Call it 1A 1B depending upon the play call. Come out firing. Establish the run with the pass. 4th down and short? You better be passing to Bowers. Play Bowers and Adams off of the defense. If it's not there Meyers is more than adequate to make them pay along with Tucker and Mayer.
I typically don’t say “I told ya’ll so” but “I told ya’ll so” and I have the receipts. When they drafted Brock, all I heard was it was a bad pick, blah, blah, blah. I posted many time this dude was different and is an absolute beast. I live in Florida and saw him dominate the SEC. Right now, he’s a top 3 TE, by the end of the year, number 1.
One thing i'm loving about the Raiders right now as well is how much more disciplined they've become, i think we only had like 2-3 penalty flags thrown on us during the Ravens game which is unheard of for us. Moving forward i hope they can continue to dominate and remain disciplined.
Fullback also. I think he could Line up as a wildcat or emergency qb. He's athletically gifted I bet he can throw the pigskin. I think his best position is slot receiver.
We need to run that play with Bowers again against the Panthers and then the next close game we have run it again but pump fake and when the defense bites hit Tucker over the top.

When other fans were moaning and groaning about picking Bowers, I said it was going to turn out to be a great move. He was going to help be a security blanket for minshew or AOC.
Guess you were too young to watch Dave Casper, the Ghost. He was Gronk before there was a Gronk. He blocked like an All Pro lineman, was huge on the field and unstoppable in the pass catching game at a time when NFL rules did not favor the passing game, unlike the pass friendly rules of the modern era, which Gronk greatly benefitted from. How soon we forget the accomplishments of Tony Gonzalez who holds the career record for most passes caught by a tight end in his career at 1,325. I. His 17 years at tight end he made the Pro Bowl in 14 of those years, had at least 900 yards a season in 10 of those years, caught at least 70 passes in 14 of those seasons. No 2 is Cowboy great Jason Witten at 1,228 catches over 17 seasons. He wasn't one of those spectacular red zone tight ends but he was gritty, got open when needed and is only the other tight end with more than 1,000 catches in his career. As a blocker he was essentially an O lineman that could catch. No. 3 on this list in Charger great Antonio Gates. As a Raider fan since 1960, let me just say it, I hated Gates. Not only did he block like a run away freight train, but he was a good catcher too, especially in the red zone. He had 955 life time catches and 116 of them were TDs, the most of any tight end ever, Including Gronk. I'm not going to belabor the point. Gronk was good but to call him the greatest of all time is an injustice to those who labored on teams far less talented than those Patriot teams. No. 4 on that list is Chief great Travis Kelce with 907 catches and growing. You going to tell me he shouldn't be in the conversation as the greatest? Again, as a die hard Raiders fan I detest that cocky SOB, but you have to admire his ability. He does things for Mahomes Gronk could only dream of. He's not just a perennial pro bowler, but a 7 times ALL Pro. No. 5 is another one I detested when he played for the Broncos, Shannon Sharpe. In many ways he revolutionized the tight end position and was the first in many categories. I. Addition to blocking like a freight train, he was the first to catch over 800 passes, finishing with 808 in his career, the first to top 10,000 yards receiving. No. 6, Cam Newton's safety valve with the Panthers, Greg Olsen with multiple pro bowls and a career with 742 catches. No. 7 is New Orleans great Jimmy Graham. Ask Drew Brees how great he was. Not only was he bigger than Gronk and a power house blocker, but he was a constant red zone threat because of his towering height. He'd be higher up on this list if he'd stayed with New Orleans and Brees. No. 8 is Zach Ertz who made his name with the Eagles and the Arizona Cardinals. He is still playing, now with the DC Commanders. He has 709 catches and growing though father time has slowed him to a possession receiver, he is still a plowing good blocker. No. 9 on this list at 662 receptions is awesome Ozzie Newsome of the pitiful Browns. His numbers are all the more remarkable considering he played in the 1980s on crappy teams without a high powered QB and passing game to throw to him. He didn't have a Tom Brady or a Drew Brees or a Philip Rivers to throw to him. Like Shannon Sharpe, he did a lot to change the nature of tight ends. Get the point? And this list doesn't include other greats like Casper or the unstoppable Kellen Winslow of the "air Coryell" and Hall of Fame Dan Fours. Winslow only lasted 9 seasons before I juries forced him to retire but in his time he shined and was yet another tight end in the Raider's division that disliked. Gronk cannot even lay claim to the most receptions in a season. That honor goes to Ertz who caught 116 back in 2018 when with the Eagles. No. 2 is Witten with the Cowboys who caught 110 in 2012. Gronk caught 90, his most, in 2011, and hauled in 82 in 2014 but never got close to those numbers again. However, Kellen Winslow back in the early to mid 1980s caught just under 90 catches (88 and 89) 3 out of 4 years. But when we dive into the 1970s, when there were less games and the NFL rules were very unfriendly to the passing game there emerged one Dave Casper who really transformed the tight end position. He consistently caught around 60 passes a year with Stabler, made the Pro Bowl 5 straight years and first team All Pro 4 straight years. But like Winslow, he had a shortened career only lasting 10 seasons, essentially. Gronk, the best? Hardly.
I wish we could show the number of dislikes on comments. Gronk is the best overall TE in the SB era. To have fkin Zach Ertz in the top 10 😂😂😂😂, just delete your comment
I know we are Raider fans here and its hard to say a Kansas City TE is the best, but Tony Gonzalez had 15000 yards receiving and had 5 seasons where he caught 90+ balls. I know people thought I was going to say Kelce, who has a chance to catch him but I think Tony was better. 1997-2013
Ayoooo 😂 I nearly lost my shit w the first sentence of this video lmaooo LaPorta Hock Kelce Is still better probably but he just might be top 5 which is crazy to say after just two games.
Brock Bowers is an absolute beast! But do you think it's too soon to compare him to Gronk? Can he really live up to that level, or are we getting ahead of ourselves?
About a month ago, I posted on another site how I felt Bowers could flirt with a 1000 yard and 10 TD season. I stick by that. I think this kid could possibly be the OROY. Maybe we'll get a chance to see him with AOC under center. Not that I want to see "The Ginsu" Minshew do poorly, but AOC has such a crisp delivery. If nothing else this year, it's going to be exciting to see him play.
The only 3 times i paid attention to Bowers blocking was very weak. The db and linebacker that he blocked held their ground and the plays failed. I'll watch your take since you watched the film
I remember everyone crying like it was the end of the world😂He was a beast in college and we have no qb so why is it bad to have 2 TEs who can get yards especially after the hip drop tackle ban🤣That’s a direct buff for us 2 big TEs one who’s possession and the other who’s short-long yardage who can RAC!!🔥🔥Perfect for a team with not the best QB even though I don’t think Gardner is that bad too our line is terrible right now

If Bowers pans out, Telesco nailed the first round pick and finally give Marc Davis some credit for hiring the G.M. and keeping the head coach.
A lot of ppl called this a terrible pick for us btw… even some raiders fans
Ayoooo 😂 I nearly lost my shit w the first sentence of this video lmaooo
LaPorta
Hock
Kelce
Is still better probably but he just might be top 5 which is crazy to say after just two games.
Brock Bowers is an absolute beast! But do you think it's too soon to compare him to Gronk? Can he really live up to that level, or are we getting ahead of ourselves?
When they ganna use him on the Sweeps? Goal line?😊
We need BETTER o-line play which will increase effectiveness of the run game and open more lanes for BowSER 🔥🔥🔥 lol we must give fits to Carolina 🏴☠️
I remember everyone crying like it was the end of the world😂He was a beast in college and we have no qb so why is it bad to have 2 TEs who can get yards especially after the hip drop tackle ban🤣That’s a direct buff for us 2 big TEs one who’s possession and the other who’s short-long yardage who can RAC!!🔥🔥Perfect for a team with not the best QB even though I don’t think Gardner is that bad too our line is terrible right now
Maybe run the same play but use Bowers as a decoy an hit Davante or a screen to mattison
