Another major benefit of RRTS that no one talks about is: - it connects Ghaziabad and Noida directly - it connects red line and Blue line giving another alternative to pink, yellow, and violet line users whom start at ghaziabad and go to Noida or west Delhi
All these stations are still unfortunately stuck in 1970s design era. There hasn't been any real innovation in railway station design besides putting fancy glass facades here and there.
I think that India should expand their railway network as (this is gonna be a slightly long comment): 1: Adding faster trains won't really solve the problem if they all keep getting stuck in rail-traffic. 2: We need to reduce our dependance on cars because of many reasons like pollution etc, AND railways are (in my opinion) in some cases better than cars, like you can get your work done. 3: They do less pollution than cars, bikes, trucks and planes which is going to help India achieve a Net Zero carbon emission status in the future. @@achintyapandey2985 expanding network is not easy as you think because of land it needs and how dense our railway network is, the best we can do is upgrading signaling and fully grade separation to run trains on metro like Frequencies Other than that I agree with you that trains are much more eco friendly in comparison to other means of transport but to do that we will need faster trains to attract customers too
@@prathamgautam6673 Yes, you're correct. Build more railways is hard and yes, we do need to make higher quality tracks. But, our freight has increased, so has railways demand, since ppl can afford railways more, but we need more rails and more trains as, the general compartment is in terrible condition. You can see YT vids abt the state of General class in railway. Otherwise, yes, acquiring more land is tough
