We're trying to make our way south to see all of the Abacos before family arrives for the holidays. But just south of Green Turtle there's an extremely dangerous cut called "The Whale". While we wait for local knowledge on this passage we decide to go to shore and say hello to the Abaco Swimming Pigs of Piggyville.

Since we've been sailing we seem to receive a lot of information that is fear based and that's not cool. Nikki hops up on her soap box for a bit and gives her thoughts and opinions on some of this fear mongering we've experienced.

I LOVE you guys. I am sitting here in cold blustery rain, watching your sailing videos. I have also been following your RV videos since the beginning. You guys are so smart and adventurous and these videos are so well done.. Anyone who is nasty to guys is just jeleous... but you guys do WORK very hard as well.

As much as Nikki *LOVES* her ice cream...if you ever sail down to Grenada, you have to find "Power" ice cream. I still have dreams about it.
Guinness Stout ice cream with salted peanuts and swirls of chocolate. A sweet, bitter, salty, creamy, chocolaty, crunchy slice of *heaven*!

HI Jason and Nikki! Thank you for all the videos you two put together and upload for us. I have to say that you seem to make such a team! Jason, from one guy to another, you lucked out in finding Nikki! She seems so upbeat and such an equal partner in the relationship. Nikki, same goes for you! Its obvious that Jason adores you. You guys give me hope that a couple can work together to reach common goals and dreams...without killing each other! HA HA.

Whenever I see these pigs I always want to put it on my bucket list. That is until I see them having a dump in the water as people walk through it barefoot! Lol, I suppose nothing can be perfect. It seems so long ago when you announced that you was going to stop rv'ing and take up sailing, nice one guys.
Kind of like the crowded anchorages of the Caribbean where they recommend not swimming in the water due to human waste be dumped by 100's of boats. I'd much rather swim with the pigs and maybe have 30 pigs pooping in the water that is flushed away with the current than a anchorage with very little current and 100 boats dumping human waste daily.

What a beautiful day.
You need to do what I did. Mount a CCTV camera to your mast that looks forward. I spot coral heads and sand bars even at night (infrared). My camera hooks up to my chart plotter. I can even add additional displays. With a 55' tall rig, I get a spectacular view.

Some sailing advice: you don't move the jib car forward for close haul sailing. You move the car to adjust the shape of the jib. It is a fairly complex sailing skill that you I am sure you will learn over time.

I love watching your videos! I found you guys when you were still in the RV and I ended up buying my own (Forest River Georgetown 328TS) after seeing how much fun you guys were having. I retired from the military last year and I spent about 5 months (and 15,000 miles) on the road (VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, TX, AZ, NM, NV) before I started my second career earlier this year. My initial retirement plan was to live aboard a sailboat, but that dream was put on the back burner, however after seeing all your latest videos, I plan on signing up for some sailing lessons once it warms back up here in the Maryland area. After I earn my ASA 101 - 108 & 110 certifications, i'll look into completing ASA 114 and 118. Ideally, I would like to be able to purchase my own boat and do a circumnavigation of the world when I retire from my second career in a few more years - of course I will be searching for opportunities to gain experience by looking for people that want crewmembers on other boats and chartering my own in the interim. Keep the excellent videos coming. Fair winds and following seas and long may your big jib draw!

Just a word of caution (which you may have discovered) The forward anchor hatch has a tendency to smack you in the head when you hook up the bridle. I rigged up a bungee cord on the hatch to prevent my wife from getting clocked! We hope to see you out there! S.V. Group Therapy.
ha, i have accidentally touched the line holding the hatch and dropped it on my neck :( ouch.
I think RV ing is Fun and have watching you trough the transition. I myself find sailing BORING and leave Now.

When you have to go around whale Cay, I believe, stay away from the island once in the atlantic because of very strong currents.
Your gps should indicate the proper road.

love your video's but is there any chance you could produce, what you might see as boring, but ad interest to us, practical videos about life on the boat, so you using the water maker, engine maintaining, refuelling, little jobs you carry out on the boat. they are really interesting videos.

I never seen anything not interesting about you guys, I made my wife watch one of your video last night, after she was done, she told me, she fell in love with you guys, you both have nice personality, and I agree that your show is addictive, I can't stop watching, to bad I didn't discover you before.
