I think the keeper is actually worse than the lost since if they both take 2 hits in a room they will die. yet the keeper can regenerate his health with money (that you might not find) but the lost regenerates his shield every room. Also free devil deals on the lost and devil deals are super risky on keeper.

You should try to unlock the Wooden Nickel and Store Key before doing the boss rush or Hush as The Keeper.
