How much pressure comes out of the air port of the 7700 going to the pps cup? Is it adjustable?

The air pressure to the cup always depends on the level of pressure coming from the turbine. The pressure is always consistent with the pressure from the turbine and that will depend on the power and specs of the motor in the particular model you are using. There is no way to regulate the pressure to the cup separately than the air pressure to the spray gun as you can using a by-pass regulator with compressed air.

@@ApolloSprayersHVLP ok. I’m looking at getting the 7700 to use on my compressor setup to spray waterborne cabinet paint, renner, icro. So I would need to block that port off and use a separate regulator system to adjust the air to the pps. Or just go remote.

@@Kevin-Payne Yes, you are correct. You can use a by-pass regulator to adjust the cup pressure to your PPS separately than your air to the spray gun. This will allow you to increase the cup pressure. If you are spraying polys on cabinets you can also use a gravity cup and this usually works fine without any additional pressure. The remote pot is also another option to control your material pressure separately than your air pressure.

@@ApolloSprayersHVLP thanks for the information. What is the thread size I would need for a remote setup? I’m looking to be able to spray in finished cabinets so I would need to be able to spray in any direction. Does it spray as good with a compressor as a turbine? I just don’t see many people using a compressor. I have 12 cfm at 40psi.

@@Kevin-Payne You will want to get the S34 adapter for the gravity cup or the S18 adapter for the bottom cup or pressure pot. Our gun is unique in that it does spray the same either from turbine or compressed air. The only difference is that you won't have the warm, dry air from the turbine and could potentially still have contaminated air from your compressor. The turbine is better since you never have to worry about dirty air and it is much more portable than lugging a big compressor around with you.
