Good video, thank you! I have a bunch of wheat/spelt/Einkorn, etc. berries from Azure, in the freezer but I haven't sorted through and gound them yet for baking. (I need to go pack up some for storage, but you're right. It's the getting myself started that is the hard part!) Would love a video on your home-milled flour bread journey. Especially nice as I know it will be vegan and low/no oil. I have a friend who was on the Great American Baking Show (in England) a few years ago, and she met the baker who won this year. He mills his own flour. Would LOVE to talk to him. He's obviously got skills. LOL
I have watched a ton of Grains and Grits videos and haven't found anything else as comprehensive. I also have issues with the oil or animal ingredients. I admit I switched off a video the other day because she was getting political. (These videos should be an escape from all that "I'm right, you're wrong" nonsense.) G&G does recommend Bread Beckers videos but they are REALLY long. "Ask Wardee" is the only other home-milled flour "teaching" channel I have found on YT. ua-cam.com/video/PeYfPWC2QB0/v-deo.html I guess you get to be the home-milled flour vegan baking guru for us all! 😄

Oh, yes, I forgot about ask Wardee! She also has some good info for grinding grains, but I don't remember a lot of practical recipe type videos. I haven't heard of the other guy you just mentioned. I'll check him out!

I totally get you! I also like doing things like this in bulk rather than right before I need it. I even rinse (and then dehydrate) quinoa in large amounts so I don't have to do it every time I cook quinoa. Saves so much time.

Nice!!! I'm about to start having to rinse and dry quinoa in advance because I'm running out of my Costco pre-rinsed stuff and I grind the quinoa to make part of my gluten free pancakes. I've noticed you can still taste the soapy taste with quinoa you don't rinse first even if you're using it as a flour (makes sense). So I'm going to have to start pre-rinsing and drying before I grind. I can't believe I didn't think of doing it just for cooking.

@@VeganPrepper I wish I could get pre-rinsed but have never seen it anywhere here. Has costco stopped selling it in the US? That sucks. But I'm glad I could help prompt a little aha moment 😂

I guess I don't have a frame of reference! I felt like for half a bucket it wasn't bad. Is this bad? Lol!! I don't really know!!
