Neat. I liked the use of the current probe to check the bypass link was working and that the new switch was passing current before the link was removed.
Its all protocol procedures. notice they put themselves and the boom at the same line voltage potential isolated from ground. Crazy work as its all done live.
Electricity does not need a path to ground to shock you. At the begging of the video, they installed alligator clips on the lines putting them at the same potential as the lines.
So i take it that was live HV? no rubber gloves or sleeves, used a rattle gun first then a torque wrench to finish it off, what a joke. Also when taking off the bypass jumper with shotgun stick, they still had their gloves on, any live HV worker is taught not to wear any type of gloves when using HV sticks, and I take it from the comments below mine saying job well done, very professional , you guys are not in the trade.
Hey budd, what class of gloves would you use for 44kv? Up here in Canada we’re aware of our surroundings & sleeves aren’t required/don’t exist. Maby you should keep your comments to yourself if you don’t understand what’s going on here!

Another great video! I have the same makita. The batteries last forever in those!
Good job well done...very professional
That was tight
Chave faca suspensa? que equipamento louco.
very cool
What voltage is this I always wanted to try Bare handing, but the coop I worked for I only worked 7.2 and 14.4.
Tf that ish was tight af
Cool.
👍🏼
hope no one ever touches the truck their on
touch and step potential
it is a insulated boom so the truck does not become energized
Powerlinekid Forsman it’s still good practice to not touch the truck when they’re in the air.
@@WhiteGangster400 yes that is one thing i did not say
Was that line hot? And it just had no path to ground, so it was safe? And there was no other close phase right?

9vs45 so it is a path for it to pass?
not a fan of inline switches , too maby problems ....
Fuck that shit, lol
