      Zokalma eco camping! They were the most incredible tree-houses, about 10-15 minutes outside Tulum. You also get access to a private cenote!

    Tulum is famous for mayans ruins... beach is everywhere... so i guess it attracts near by residents?

    The beach there looks amazing!!!...We will go there at some point when we get to Mexico but definitely not to stay there its just out of our budget but I need to walk that beach!!...Thanks for the video...Viv

      Yes! A walk on the beach is must 😁 it’s a little quieter up on the north end (easier to access without a swanky hotel in the way)

    How did you find a Selina micro for that cheap? It’s never been that price when I check :(

      I’m not sure how we pulled it off. We booked last minute (the day before) during low season. I’m sure the pandemic helped with the pricing a little. We also booked through a 3rd party site found through the google hotel search.

    Thanks for sharing this! So many ppl sharing places but not the prices...bc it’s very expensive 😂 I camped on the beach there 20yrs ago and was curious if you could still enjoy on a budget. I’m sure if you are there long term you could learn + hit up all of the weekly promotions, happy hours etc
    I thought cenotes were very deep but that one you had the burger at seemed very shallow?

    Did you have to get a COVID test to return back home? If so, where’d you go?

      We live on the road so we didn’t fly back to the USA afterward (and didn’t need a test).
      But many of the expat groups in Tulum recommend Costamed for quick/reliable turnaround time on results

      I think it was some combination of the pandemic/hurricane season and we booked the night before we checked in. I haven't seen it that low again unfortunately.

    Hi Emma, I saw you rode the bike to the Tulum ruins in your last episode. Will you be able ride the bike from the ruins to the beach hotels on that one beach road?

      Yes you can! There are bike lanes for most of it but once you get to the actual beach road it’s just a two lane road

      cards are accepted mostly everywhere along that beach strip but you should keep some pesos with you in case there are any power outages or internet issues 🙂

      That's the area for hotel guests of Selina 🙂 but the beach club Mia is also attached to the hotel if you wanted to visit. It's actually even nicer than the area for hotel guests.
