Man, I was in the front of the ballroom when top 96-top 8 were going on and everyone was going insane with those top 8 matches. The energy was definitly infectious.
THIS SET WAS SOOOOO INSAAAAANE can't wait to see what the next season's "new mechanics" will add to the mix, also I really hope they keep on making more offline tournaments i wonder if NotPichu and Adventure already played against each other and gotta love that dnf duel music on the background
The worst part, as a jack-o player myself, once he had that 100 meter, he honestly couldn't do anything. If you power up, there is a gap before you can actually do anything with jack-o, which ky and nago and many characters at certain distances can catch it and knock down on you which basically ends the power up. The time it takes to get off the ground ends the boost. In combo there is enough of a gap that you can just stand punch jack-o and clean her minions off the screen. Her big weakness is that she has tons of gaps in her moves and lots of bad enders that maker her totally unsafe up close. A stray 5p just ends the round for her most of the time. His best option would have been what he did but try to watch for the jump and do minion attack, though even that's bad because stun dipper goes under minion shield and minion attack.
characters like Jack-O, Happy Chaos, Zato and the like are the type of characters that grow stronger the older the game gets, and with Frosty all the Jack-O grinders are eating good even if edd lost the set

small tip：you can gc your botton if it hit the servant. So if you want clean servant , 5k→6p→cancel special is a good way to make you safe , As a people who ACTUALLY spend time on jko really much , if i see people do this to clean up , i will change my style.

Jack-O has some fun stuff against Ky; I'm no Eddventure, but I always found this match-up to be one of Jack-O's better ones. For example, while Jack O has a bunch of safe jump set-ups in general, her 2D just straight up low profiles Ky's DP, so it always seems to me that once Jack O gets a knockdown again Ky, he's pretty fucked. Ultimately, I do think she's low-tier not just because she's technical, but because she is weaker compared to most of the cast, especially when thinking about risk-reward and consistency, but I can think of like three very minor changes, any of which would make her unbearable to play against, so I'm fine with her being where she is.
I would love more insane play from more obscure character tbh. Shes a hard character too learn so not much people play her, but she can put out some insane stuff that makes the game more fun from the spectacle standpoint
I'm a little confused to why he didn't use the minion buffs in certain situations but hey, he's in top 8 and I'm not lol. Maybe he knows something I don't.
I really wanted Edd to win, but that double BRC mystifies me. I would've just taken the risk with using the meter on FD or at worst a YRC in the corner and still have meter for one last mixup. I hate Ky, but Flash earned that.

if i was edventure, in pressure situations i would use Jack-o's HS whistle super, it give jacko extended pressure and boosts her survent gauge
