I would love to tell Dom how much I love this song. This is the song I want to sing to my girlfriend on our wedding day. I remember when he first uploaded and I was so sad when it went away. Thank you for reuploading it. One of my favorite songs of all time.
I feel bad for Dom. I found him when I was little by watching the lazer collection, and I loved just about everything else he put out when I visited his channel. I get that he doesn't want to be the "lazer collection guy" and that's totally fine, I respect that decision. But there's still something kind of sad about him having to remove that content just to get away from that title. It's akin to being famous in high school for that one funny thing, but anything you do afterwards in college or at your job and people only care about what you did before, not what you're doing now. This song used to be sweet, but now it's sad. The girl Dom loved is just that; past tense. I still love to listen to this song, and I have genuinely enjoyed it for what is now the greater half of my young life. I genuinely wish that this song had a happy ending, but the title is right there, and just hangs depressingly over the song. What I can hope for though is that Dom continues to do a great job with what he loves. He's genuinely one of the greatest people on this platform.
I've talked with Dom a few times-- a really kind, wonderful person. If it puts your mind at ease, he doesn't see his career in this light! He's been wildly successful in a lot of different creative pursuits, and he's in a really good place right now. He's had a couple failed relationships along the way, but y'know, we all do. It's just a part of life! : )
