One of the greatest did you say? In my opinion he is the greatest ever. Even R Kelly, Teddy Riley, Keith Sweat can’t touch him. This guy just didn’t just wrote songs, he wrote smash hits songs.
We can't take anything away from Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis - their nearly 40 yr catalog of credits is vast since leaving The Time in '83. They have written and produced nearly 900 songs (Babyface around 700), have more number one hits than any other songwriter/producer in history, among many other accolades (72 top ten hits, globally). That being said, I totally agree that Babyface is a hitmaker AND performer in his own right!!

Both them and Babyface & Reid have done great things for many artists at different times and levels in their careers. Both songwriters/producers are phenomenal in their own rights. I give credit where credit is due.

Babyface is worth the money. He’s written monster jams and performs exceptionally well!
He was worth it. He no longer produces hit AFAIK. But at his peak he was very good.
Face and L.A. wrote a great album of songs, for Bobby Brown.
