2 main things to learn the russian systems, around the rwr you can see a strength meter, that can help you tell the range of a rwr contact, 2nd, ranging your radar is really important and can improve the pickup of the enemy contact considerably.
Nice to have you and Growling Sidewinder upload within hours of each other, I got my daily fix of DCS bruh.. I'd like to see you roll out in either the SU-33 or - 57 some time too 😉
Hey guys. Click here to join my Discord: discord.gg/drNE6bT In this DCS (Digital Combat Simulator) if flying the MIG 29 Fulcrum against the mighty SU 35 Flanker E, The SU 35 is AI. Hope you guys enjoy!
Very nice video .. this bvr engagement is helping me understand what Our IAF Marshals said about IAF vs PAF Aerial face off in 2019.. your tactics in this video was explained broadly by some IAF Veterans but now after watching your video .. I’m able to understand a lot of points.. only difference here is Here you are fighting Fulcrum.. on real it was a viper
Good stuff brother. Keep up the good work. Love the participation cameos between yourself with GS. PS- The HUD filter helps out on the Russian aircraft. You may need to change HUD colors / brightness. Keep it up.
A good demonstration of the importance of situational awareness. Fighting a modern opponent whilst only having an older RWR etc. is like wearing an eye patch! Also, where is that SU-35 from? I'd love to try fighing it!
if you cant throw something to keep im bussy it´s nearly impossible... Su35 shouldn´t get close to you..... and he´s gonna get you eventually... Great vid man!
WHAT A GOOD DAY! GS plus LONGSHOT videos uploaded almost on the same hour. EDIT: just watched both... and liked both. Sidewinder having the same idea..... Small vs Big Air Superiority BVR... Sidewinder on USAF, Longshot on Russian AF
Very Interesting video. I like the BVR engagements as those are more real world. Secondly, these forms of simulator encounters are real world too as you do not get a second chance in the Real World. It is important to work out effective strategy in a simulator before you face the real thing. I wonder how this BVR would shake out if it were F-22 versus SU-35? Maybe that has already been done.
Can you talk a bit more to the Su 35 vs mig 29 like power to weight ratio, handling, rate of climb , ect.. and compare it ( su 35) vs su 33 and su27 performances and avionics?.How can u have a launch warning ? I mean in TWS you don't recieve a notification until pitbull no?
Hi, LS the reason you werent able to see him was partially also that you werent adjusting your radar elevation, which is quite different on Russian A/C than on their Western Counterparts.
@@LongShotChannel Negative, Scan Elevation is another thing, that adjusts how up or down your radar looks. If you point your nose up the radar will not look up and will maintain looking level, unless, you change its elevation which can adjusted 150 degrees up and 100 degrees downwards for radar, and 100 degrees upwards for EOS and 10 degrees down .
First thing I noticed is that YOU are flying INTO the Sun. He's harder to see AND to get a good lock on. Not only did you have the lower grade plane you also created TWO other problems for yourself by facing into the Sun. Something you might think about next time.
Thanks..! Will try it later. Mig-29 il like a crazy horse in my hands, especially on positive pitch axes.....hope to solve it. And you just gained a new follower! I'm enjoying your contents! Nice work!
Notch is a different thing. Even a B-52 can notch successfully at any distance because notch is speed one aircraft has relatively to the other. Rcs, on the other hand, doesn't change with speed.
It's a bit disappointing when the models are over done on here (Su 57 for example) because the Su 35 can coat itself with all the radar absorbing material it wants but it's still lipstick on a pig. Im glad in this case the Mig could track it well. The 35 is a non stealthy airframe and as long as those compressor blades are visible it's a big pig stealth wise. That's my beef with all the fawning over the Su 57. Now to be clear it has some great features and is maneuverable but any radar can see it very well that's why India turned them down and no export customers have emerged. China and the US have the only viable stealth aircraft currently and will naturally dominate the export markets. Now with my bitching aside I enjoyed the video and do love watching how detailed DCS is.
The prototype and the production model has lots of difference , wouldn't discount the Su-57 completely at least in the frontal aspect, it's no raptor but I guess the Russians would at least make it have an edge over the 4th gen
Radars can see all stealth aircraft in certain conditions, that's why stealth aircraft need to be integrated with the necessary tactics. As for india's claim i would take them with a grain of salt; the felon surely is not as stealth as the usa/chinese counterpart but the reason they're not buing it is probably more political than the effective aircraft capabilities
@@marcoconti1197 "the felon surely is not as stealth as the usa/chinese counterpart but the reason they're not buing it is probably more political than the effective aircraft capabilities" 1) Did you measure Su-57s RCS just by looking at photos? 2) Who's not building 57s? Indians were never involved into pak fa, they had fgfa which was based on it, nothing more.
You and Growling sidewinder are my bread and butter for dcs

This has suddenly become very very relevant.
Wow this situation is real now!!!
Hey LongShot! YT decided to finally recommend me a video of yours after oodles of Growling Sidewinder. good to see the better half ;)
Thank you sir
interesting foresight ...
Damn,. That was some very hard work to fight against the SU-35. Great Video.

Nice vid Longshot! You and GS are doing great work.
Great video. One tip switch to EO when dealing with fighters like that. Odds are your EO system will detect the aircraft before the radar.
Yep, hard to shoot what you can't find! Good video LongShot :) Thanks!
Thank you sir, glad you liked it
Awesome video and explaining how and what your doing is perfect for us trying to get in this world and learn what all is going down
Glad you liked it. Thanks
Nice one! Keep them coming!

Looks like the MiG-29 desperately needs Ground Control Intercept guidance to deal with interlopers.

I'm looking for a link for the playable Su-35. Anybody can upload it if original link is missing please ?
Happy to see your subscription numbers climbing. Appreciation for the excellent content.
I appreciate the support. Thank you very much 😘
Nice longshot enjoy watching you great job in the Raptor the other day it look like you were having fun making it dance.
It was. Thanks
Mig 29 one of my favorite fighters...su is cool but mig did it first....
Sadly this fight is now a real scenario...
I dont play video games but i love the content, keep it up.👍
Thank you very much!
Great vid man keep it up
The channel is doing great. Congrats.
two beautiful aircraft in a very nice video , good work long shot 🔥❤️

Just subscribed after watching Growling Sidewinder.. From North east India.
The sunset(sunrise?) looks beautiful. Wts your specs?
Good luck.

Yea, but it is a bot. And looks like it didnt try to have high speed to make his missiles more effective.

Much appreciated
Does flaring and Shafting helps with defending missile attacked?
Great vids guys

Looking back at this now and oh how fitting it has become
this now happened in real life
Is their any su-35 module ?
where can i downloaded

At some point, sure.
Just for "authenticity purposes" the UAF doesn't have R-77's.
Hi, LS the reason you werent able to see him was partially also that you werent adjusting your radar elevation, which is quite different on Russian A/C than on their Western Counterparts.
You are talking about the predicted target.
And i will agree that this is important, i still should see him
I still scaned to 50 km

I didnt tuch the elevation bacause we are at the same alt
And if you did mean to the radar elevation, and this is the reason that i didnt found him, i will disagree
where can we download su35? i cant find it.....
It would have been a lot harder if it was flown by GS. But hey, Su-35 is no joke.

Living up your name... That was indeed a longshot... And it didn't pan out sadly :(
Wow Buddy, you're so smooth with Mig 29. May i know your curves and dead zones settings? I find this plane quite hard to fly smoothly like you do
I think i have 8 as dead zone and 15 on the curve

Too bad they dont have the mig29m/m2 with the zhuk radar and rvv-sd missiles. Would be a much better fight!
That Flanker is a beast. Is that Arabic at the end of all your videos?
Hebrew
Target aspect doesn't influence RCS in DCS, all aircraft have their non-changing rcs regardless of where they have their nose pointed
Im not sure about that, if its true, how the notch works?
And, im using a mod. And im not sure what are the changes made
Notch is a different thing. Even a B-52 can notch successfully at any distance because notch is speed one aircraft has relatively to the other. Rcs, on the other hand, doesn't change with speed.
Correct, notch is about direction of travel, but i do think reduced rcs is moduled in th su35
It is possible, though, like with any other plane in dcs, it's the same from any direction
5:49 "E"
this is how f-15 vs f-16 would go in real life
SU 35 have AL 41 thrust vectoring engine
I've been dying to see these two aircraft head to head...
Hope you liked it
I wish there was a mod for the baseline R-77 and R-27ER so they could loft
Is the su 35 a mod?
Wow it's that much harder against a flanker.. that was intense
Where to download the su35 mod? Seems like mine is kinda glitchy
Its ai
@@elsnocc6572 nah it's a mod
Longshot vs sidewinder please
why the mig29 can carry R77 missiles but not the Su27 ???
Mig-29S with it's updated radar has that option, while the Mig-29A, su-27 and 33 don't
There's a mod to allow the flanker to carry R-77s, but you can't target 2 enemies like the 29S can

Yeah since 1984
